USC Trojans versus Colorado Buffaloes College Football Real Money Fantasy Picks 11-13-2015
From college football on Friday night it will be action from the PAC 12 conference as the Colorado Buffaloes are home to the USC Trojans. DFS draft managers can tune to ESPN2 TV at 9PM Eastern Time on November 13th to track the scoring results of their fantasy roster picks.
In their recent meetings the USC Trojans have had success moving the football and putting up points on the scoreboard. They have scored no fewer than 42 points in their four previous meetings and in their last stop at Colorado in 2013 the Trojans produced 47 points. USC should be able to showcase a speed advantage on the Buffaloes. They got their run game going last week in their 38-30 victory at home to Arizona as the team ran for 229 yards. The USC defense has been exploited for much of the season but last week they made a very good defensive stand against the Wildcats run game by allowing just 60 yards rushing for 1.9 yards a carry. With the run game working last week the Trojans got only 243 yards from their passing game. On the season the Trojans are 18th from college football in both passing and scoring offense. The team throws for 305 yards and scored 37.4 points per game on the campaign.
The Colorado Buffaloes will host the USC Trojans with a record of 4-6 but this is a team that has shown improvement on the field from previous versions in recent years. Buffaloes are moving the football for 424 yards a game good for 46th from college football and in the top half of the nation. Defensively they struggled stopping the run by giving up 208 yards a game ranking 111th in the nation. That has to be a concern for Colorado as the Trojans run game was sharp last week in their victory. Colorado is on a two game losing streak with losses at UCLA 35-31 and last week they were blown out at home to Stanford by the score of 42-10.
USC Trojans QB:
The Trojans senior quarterback is completing 69.3% of his throws for 2511 yards with 20 touchdowns and five picks. With the run game working last week Kessler only threw for 243 yards with two touchdowns. He has just three touchdown throws over his past three games which could be hurting his NFL stock.
USC Trojans RB:
Jones has rushed for 710 yards on 89 carries and six touchdowns. He is rushing for 8 yards a carry on the campaign. The freshman running back has his best game of the season last week as he ran for 177 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown against the Arizona Wildcats.
The Trojans junior running back is running for 361 yards on 53 carries and a touchdown. He posts a 6.8 yards per carry average. Last week in their home victory Justin Davis ran for 85 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.
USC Trojans WR:
The star wide out for the Trojans has caught 60 passes for 1094 yards and nine touchdowns on the campaign. He is averaging 18.2 yards per reception this year. Smith caught eight balls for 138 yards and a touchdown in the win last week at home to Arizona. The sophomore receiver has caught passes for 100 yards or greater in six of his past eight games.
Colorado Buffaloes QB:
The junior signal caller for the Buffaloes has seen play as a starter in all three years at the school. In 2014 he is hitting on 61.6% of his throws for 2307 yards with nine touchdowns and six picks. He has run a lot this year with 245 yards rushing on 105 carries and five rushing touchdowns. Luifau has no touchdowns and three picks in his past two games all resulting in losses to Stanford and UCLA.
Colorado Buffaloes RB:
Lindsay has 108 carries on the year for 508 yards with five touchdowns. He is rushing for 4.9 yards a carry but has been contained the past two games for 38 yards on 11 carries.
Colorado Buffaloes WR:
The senior wide out has caught 67 balls for 728 yards and only two touchdowns. That’s ten touchdowns less than a year ago.
