UFC Fight Night – Barnett vs Nelson

UFC Fight Night returns on Saturday September 26th with a five fight main card over national television. Things begin from Saitama Japan at 10PM Eastern Time and FOX Sports 1 has the coast to coast broadcast. The four card prelims get going at 8PM Eastern Time on FOX Sports 2. Josh Barnett vs. Roy “Big Country” Nelson:

A battle in the heavyweight division by seasoned pros. Veteran Josh Barnett is 33-7 with a 55% submission win rate and 30% of his wins came by knockout. That leaves just 15% of his victories going to the judge’s scorecards. The 37 year old has won 11 of his past 13 fights. He is coming off a loss at UFC 168 in December of 2013 to Travis Browne by knockout. Previously he earned a TKO win again Frank Mir in August of 2013.

“Big Country” Roy Nelson is 21-11 with 67% of his victories coming by knockout. He has a 13 pound weight advantage over Barnett. Big Country is 39 yards old. He has lost two straight and four of his past five fights all against UFC competition. At UFC 185 in March of 2015 Nelson was defeated by submission to Alistair Overeem.

Gegard Mousasi vs. Uriah Hall:

From Iran Mousasi is 37-5-2 with 57% of his wins coming by knockout. He has submitted 27% of his opponents. The 30 year old has a two fight win streak. At UFC Fight Night in May of 2015 Mousasi defeated Costas Philippou by decision. Prior to that result he defeated Dan Henderson by TKO in January of 2015.

Uriah Hall is from Jamaica in this 185lb fight. Hall is 12-5 with 75% of his wins coming by knockout. Hall is 31 years old and has won four of his past five fights. At UFC Fight Night in August of 2015 Hall defeated Oluwale Bamgbose by TKO.

Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Chico Camus:

Horiguchi the local product from Japan is 15-1 with 60% of his wins coming by knockout. 33% of his wins have come by submission. The young 24 year old had his nine fight win streak broken at UFC 186 after a loss to Demetroius Johnson by submission armbar at 4:59 of the fifth round for the UFC Flyweight Championship.

Camus from the USA is 14-6 with 36% wins by knockout. A very high 57% of his wins came by decision. The 30 year old looks too bounce back from a loss at UFC 188 to Henry Cejudo by decision in June of 2015.

Takeya Mizugaki vs. George Roop:

From Japan Takeya Mizugaki is 20-9-2 with only 5% of his wins by knockout. Many of his wins have come from the judge’s scorecard with 70% wins by decision. The 31 year old is on a two fight losing streak. He lost to Aljamian Sterling at UFC on FOX in April of 2015 by submission. At UFC 178 Mizugaki fell to Dominick Cruz by knockout in September of 2014.

George Roop is 15-12-1 with 33% wins by knockout. He too has a many wins by decision at a 47% clip. Rook a 33 year old from the US lost his last fight at UFC 175 on July of 2014 to Rib Font by knockout.

Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Matt Hobar:

Known as the “Kid”, Norifumi Yamamoto has a record of 18-6 with 72% of his wins coming by knockout. From Japan Yamamoto have 17% of his wins by decision. Entering UFC 184 Yamamoto had lost three straight and five of six fights. He fought at UFC 184 in February of 2015 with the result a no contest due to an accidental eye poke.

Matt Hobar from USA is 9-3 with 44% of his wins by submissions. He has a high 44% of his wins coming by judge’s decision. The 28 year old from Dallas Texas was defeated at UFC 181 in December of 2014 to Sergio Pettis by decision.
