A big AL West series is scheduled this weekend as the Houston Astros will play host to the Texas Rangers. MLB Fantasy draft managers can tune to FOX at 1PM Eastern Time on Saturday September 26th to follow the results of their roster picks.
As this series opened up on Friday night, the Rangers held a four game lead in the loss column over the Astros with just 10 games left to be played. The Rangers have been a hot team winner of three straight and eight of their past ten games when they opened up this series on Friday. They met for a four game series in the middle of September with Texas sweeping all four games. Texas crushed Astros hitting as they pushed across 33 runs in the four games. They went into Oakland for a three game series prior to the start of this series and crushed Athletics pitching for a total of 26 runs in the three games.
The Houston Astros have tumbled down the AL West standings. Now they are in a fight for a playoff spot as the hold a narrow 1 ½ game lead over both the LA Angels and Minnesota Twins with just nine games left to be played. The Astros lost two of three to the Angels as they traveled to Texas. The team has also dropped seven of ten games.
Texas Rangers DH:
The Rangers DH leads the everyday hitters with a .303 batting average with 22 homers and 86 RBIs. He has crushed Astros pitching this year with a batting average of .358. Though he has been ice cold as Fielder is in a hitting slump going 2 of their past 24.

Moreland has hits in five straight games including a three hit game on September 22nd. On the year he has a batting average of .285 with 23 homers and 82 RBIs.
Texas Rangers 3B:
The veteran third baseman has been blistering hot for the month of September with a .326 batting average with three homers and 25 RBIs. His average is now up to .280 for the year with 16 homers and 70 RBIs.
Texas Rangers RF:
Shin Soo Choo
Choo has been hitting well for the month of September with a .410 hitting average. He has four multiple hits in his past eight games. On the year the Rangers right fielder is hitting .270 with 18 homers and 72 RBIs.

The lefty starter is 3-3 with an ERA of 4.75 and WHIP of 1.29. Holland looks to bounce back from a poor outing on September 20th where he allowed seven earned runs and seven hits over 4 1/3rd innings in a loss at home to Seattle.
