Sacramento is really on a up and down hill all year having not been capable to get 2 straight wins in a month span now. It’s to understand where the team is headed. Their leader DeMarcus Cousins has been relegated to playing only in home games in one of the strangest developments this season. That strange development is really what makes the organization so dysfunctional and unpredictable. Their real issue is their defense as they’re dead last in points allowed per game nearly this whole campaign. For them, this is a winnable game but the T-Wolves have shown what their enormous potential can do to big teams 2 days ago when they upset the Warriors in Oakland.
Minnesota have lost 3 of their last 3 games but come into this game off their biggest win of the season. Not only they defeated the reigning NBA champions, Golden State Warriors on the road and were a 15-point easy underdog, but have really shown what their potential talent is all about. With youngsters on their squad like Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns, Shabazz Muhammad and Zach LaVine, the sky is limit for their future. A great sign as well is that all of their young guns made big contributions in the win against the Warriors. They simply showed the NBA just how fearful this team will be in the years to come, as well as a danger for the Sacramento Kings.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Game Preview
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Golden State Warriors
Steve Kerr’s record breaking Golden State Warriors are still on pace to reach Win 73 when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night in Oakland at Oracle Arena. This NBA fantasy basketball game preview is brought you by FanPicks.com. Come PLAY in our Daily Fantasy Basketball contests at FanPicks and get a free chance to win $1 Million dollars!
The Timberwolves head into this matchup having lost 3 straight games and 4 of their last 5 games. It’s really not about this season for Minnesota though as they’re preparing for their future. Without a doubt, the future of their squad is extremely bright and that’s the least to say. They have definitely the best young core in the league led by Karl-Anthony Towns dominating the post, Andrew Wiggins annihilating the wings and with Ricky Rubio’s distribution to the offense , this team has some serious weapons and an enormous potential for the next years in the NBA.
The Warriors are heading into this matchup coming back from their 1st lost at home last Friday in over a year. They will definitely want to rebound from that game since they’re only a 4-1 stretch from getting the 73 win record mark. They rolled over the Trail Blazers on Sunday bouncing back from their loss and are in a serious momentum. Golden State are an easy 17-point favorite and will most likely go on a streak to end the season unless the Spurs decided otherwise. Basketball fans around the world will be awaiting the next 2 weeks to see if the Warriors can mark history.

DFS NBA Picks
Another Saturday, another special edition of our DFS NBA picks for you to feast your eyes on.
While there were 10 games on the schedule today, n As always there are your big ticket items, and value picks. You always want to avoid being so strapped for cash that you’re ready to roll the dice on just about anyone to fill a slot on your roster. That’s why value picks and managing your cap are so crucial when assembling your daily fantasy sports team.
PG Russell Westbrook $10600 – While Westbrook always seems like a must-play, tonight’s pay-off might be extremely generous. The Spurs might be entering the game without superstar Kawhi Leonard, but I still expect this to be a competitive game until the very end. The Thunder are playing quite well of late, so a big effort minus the opposition’s star player equal a huge game for Westbrook.
PG Tyus Jones $3500 – Jones has scored 20+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 5 games, while scoring 14.5, -1, and 10.4 in between respectively. While he virtually never rebounds, Jones has piled up 11 assists in his last 2 games combined. Through March, Jones has averaged 4.5 points, and 3.3 assists in 17 minutes per game. If you need an option from the discount bin, Jones may be the man you should target.
SF Gordon Hayward $6800 – Facing the T-Wolves, Hayward has an opportunity to put forth a great fantasy night. Minnesota plays an up-and-down style of play, leaving many scoring opportunities to skilled players on opposing teams. Neither Zach Lavine nor Andrew Wiggins are exactly shutdown defenders, and the T-Wolves allow approximately 6% more points than the league average to small forwards. Hayward can be inconsistent, so the matchup makes him a much more desirable product tonight.
Fantasy Basketball NBA Preview
Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves will host the visiting Golden State Warriors, just fresh out of their worst performance of the season in San Antonio as they’ll try to avoid their first losing streak of the season at the Target Center. FanPicks is proud to bring you this Fantasy Basketball NBA preview. Take a break from March Madness and come play in our NBA Magic Million contest where you can win up to a $1 million this week at FanPicks.
Despite having only won 3 out of their last 10 games and occupying the last place in the West’s Northwest division, the Timberwolves have shown signs of resurgence lately during hard-fought games like their latest defeat at the hands of the Houston Rockets, 116-111 or last week against the Suns 107-104.
Their rising stars, Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine are all progressing extremely well. Towns, on his way to the Rookie of the Year award, had a standout double-double performance against Houston with 32 pts, 11 boards, 2 steals, an assist and a block. Wiggins contributed with 21 pts, 5 assists, 2 boards and 3 steals while LaVine added 15 pts, 3 assists, 2 boards, 4 steals and a block. They will need a display like the one 10 days ago when they brought their maximum energy and potential, upsetting the Oklahoma City Thunder in Oklahoma 99-96.
The reigning NBA champs Golden State Warriors are coming fresh off their worst offensive performance of the season in the forgettable 87-79 loss to the San Antonio Spurs Saturday. They really endured their most difficult night of the season, breaking a 7 game winning streak and 7th loss on the road of the year. Klay Thompson’s 15 pts, 5 boards, assist, block and steal helped pace the Warriors. It was Stephen Curry’s shutdown that really didn’t help. San Antonio’s defense limited him to only 14 pts, 6 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals and at his lowest field-goal and 3-point percentage. Draymond Green nearly had his typical triple double performance with 11 pts, 9 boards, 8 assists and a block.
This time it will be different story since the Spurs own the best defense in the league meanwhile the Timberwolves own one of the worst. After this game, the Warriors will host their next 4 games in Oakland, where they remain undefeated this season.

Team World’s Kristaps Porzingis had a strong performance with 30 pts and some strong dunks while Emmanuel Mudjay also added 30 pts with 10 assists.
For most of the fans in attendance, last year’s #1 overall draft pick Wiggins and hometown hero was really the star attraction and received many chants and ovations all throughout the night.
The Rising Stars game is a good show for the fans prior to the skills competition and actual All-Star Game, spotlighting the new talent in the league and giving hope of better days to long suffering franchises such as the Timberwolves, the Bucks or the Knicks.
All-Star Celebrity Game
In an entertaining matchup Friday night, Coach Drake’s Team Canada defeated their southern rivals Team USA coached by the comedian Kevin Hart, 74-63.
Tracy McGrady led the charge for the Canadians with 18 pts while Arcade Fire’s Win Butler took the MVP honors with his 15 pts.
Jason Sudeikis led Team USA with 14 points in the game. The Americans got some unexpected help in the second half when their head coach and 4 time Celebrity MVP award recipient, Kevin Hart, inserted himself in the lineup but it didn’t prove enough in the end.
NBA All-Star Skills Competition and Game preview
This NBA All-Star weekend will be a special one for the NBA and Canada but most importantly for future Hall of Famer and Lakers’ own Kobe Bryant appearing in his 18th and final NBA All-Star Game. He will be a sentimental favorite as well to win a record 5th MVP in this NBA All-Star game. This weekend will be a great show for all Fantasy Basketball owners seeing rising stars and legends entertain the fans.
Bryant was not only the fans top vote-getter heading into this weekend’s All-Star break besting none other than league MVP Stephen Curry, but is also the NBA All-Star Game’s all-time leading scorer.
The 2 most popular events of the weekend people cannot wait to see this weekend are the Slam Dunk Contest and the Three-Point Contest.
Three-Point contest defending champion Stephen Curry and Golden State Warriors teammate Klay Thompson are both favourites to win this even this year amidst the tough competition with the other shooters such as:
- J.J. Redick of the Los Angeles Clippers
- Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns
- Kyle Lowry of the host, Toronto Raptors
- James Harden from the Houston Rockets
- Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat
- Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks
In the NBA Verizon Slam Dunk Contest, 20 year old Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves will try to defend his title and is the heavy favourite to win it again in front of only 3 other contestants:
- Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic
- Will Barton of the Denver Nuggets
- Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons
The West will try to go for their 5th victory in the last 6 years on Sunday.
