Washington Huskies versus USC Trojans College Football Fantasy Cash League Preview 10-8-2015
A PAC 12 conference contest is scheduled for Thursday night college football as the USC Trojans will host the Washington Huskies. Fantasy football draft GM’s can tune to ESPN TV on October 8th at 9PM Eastern Time to follow the results of their roster picks.
These clubs are from separate divisions in the PAC 12 so they last faced one another back in 2012. Washington is off to a disappointing 2-2 start in their 2015 campaign. They were competitive in week one in a three point road loss at Boise St and in week four they dropped a 30-24 home decision to California. With the retirement of Cyrus Miles during the spring the Huskies were forced to break in a first year starting quarterback. Jake Browning is a freshman who is learning under fire against some tough competition this early in the season. He faces another test against a USC defense on the road. Washington has to lean on a defense this year that ranks 28th in yards allowed and 17th in points allowed. The Huskies give up just 16 points and 321 yards per game to their opponents. Huskies head coach Chris Peterson built some outstanding defensive teams in his years at Boise St so he may try to follow that formula where the defense will be very good prior to the offense coming around The Huskies are rushing for just 107 yards per game ranking 119th in college football.
The USC Trojans responded after a 41-31 home loss to Stanford by going on the road in week four and defeating the Arizona St Sun Devils by the score of 42-14. After a bad defensive performance against the Cardinal the USC defense shut out the Sun Devils in the first half as the Trojans went into the locker room up 35-0.
