Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Suns Fantasy Basketball News – 02-02-16

The Phoenix Suns (14-35) will be hosting the Toronto Raptors (32-15) in Phoenix this Tuesday at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. FanPicks has this game on tap for tonight’s DFS action. Come play Fantasy Basketball at fanpicks.com.

Projected Lineup

Fantasy basketball

Toronto is coming back from a tough loss by 19 pts against a well below under .500, Denver Nuggets squad, snapping their impressive 11 game-winning streak. Coach Dwayne Casey called it easily one of the worst performances of the year. Another strange fact is that the Raptors seem to be continuously struggling against the Nuggets, having lost 4 of their last 5 games against them. The Raps are still ranked second in the Eastern Conference, a few games behind the Cavaliers That was and will definitely try to bounce back with their winning ways against the Suns, one of the worst teams in the NBA.

The Phoenix Suns’s rapid decline the past few months just cost Jeff Hornacek’s job earlier this Monday, leaving interim coach Earl Watson in charge of the struggling team. They’ve only won twice in their past 21 games. Ironically, one of the Suns’ rare victories came against the Toronto Raptors. Suns’ Owner has linked his team struggle this year with the “millennial culture” and notably Markief Morris’ strong personality and constant injuries. With most of the main players back, they will try to stop a red hot Toronto team looking to bounce back from their blowout in Denver the night before.

Pacers vs Suns

Projected Lineup

Starting Lineup

The Pacers have lost 4 of their 5 five games. Their defense was terrible in that stretch, especially in the last 2 games. They allowed 247 combined points in those 2 losses. Indiana is known to be a defensive-minded team under Coach Mike Vogel. It looks like their rhythm slowed down, considering they are one of the fastest-paced teams in the NBA this season. They had the same problem last year, and the team finished outside of a playoff spot. Tonight will be tough game, as the Suns are one of the fastest-paced teams as well.

Hopes in Phoenix are essentially gone at this point. Suns have lost 13 of their last 14 games and that directly correlates with an injury to Eric Bledsoe. The Suns defense ranks 29th in points allowed. Tonight’s game is likely going to be a high-scoring affair, with a total of 210 points allowed between those two defenses. The Pacers comes in as a 7 point odds favorite on the road, which is truly indicative of how bad this Phoenix team is.

Phoenix Suns  vs. Boston Celtics

Author : Aldo Panessidi

The Phoenix Suns (13-27) will be hosted by the Boston Celtics (20-19) on Friday evening. Starting LineupThe Suns are in the midst of a miserable season and head into the weekend on a 1-12 run that has them floundering in fourth place in the Pacific Division, ahead of only the Los Angeles Lakers. The team traveled to Indiana on Tuesday night and were summarily pounded by the Pacers, 116-97. Having now won only four games on the road in their 2015-16 campaign, Phoenix were led by Devin Booker and Mirza Teletovic, who each put up 19 points. Markieff Morris came off the bench to come a hair shy of a double-double with 16 points and 9 boards, yet failed to connect on all four of his long range attempts. Things may only get worse for the club, as they have lost eight straight games away from home and will cap off January with a four-game road jaunt that includes a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics were able to shake off a four-game string of losses to best the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden on Wednesday, 103-94, to improve to .500 at home. Isaiah Thomas once again led Boston in scoring with 28 points, making 9 of 18 from the floor and 4 of 6 from deep. Thomas is averaging a gaudy 32.3 points in his last three outings and is by far the most potent offensive threat the team possesses. Jae Crowder went 11-for-15 to finish with 25 points and Amir Johnson put up 14 points and hauled in 18 rebounds to see the Celtics try and dig out from a 1-5 start to the year. Boston has leapfrogged the New York Knicks to once again sit at second place in the Atlantic Division, 4.5 games behind the Toronto Raptors, who they will meet next Wednesday north of the border.

Phoenix Suns vs. Indiana Pacers

The Phoenix Suns (13-26) will be hosted by the Indiana Pacers (21-16) at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Tuesday evening. Starting Lineup The Suns have won just one game of their past ten games, but seem to be working better together and adjusting to the loss of their highest scorer, Eric Bledsoe. Before his season-ending meniscus injury, Bledsoe was averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Their next highest scoring guard, Brandon Knight has had to pick up the slack and play heavy minutes in Bledsoe’s absence. Another problem for Phoenix will be the loss of Alex Len, who is out with a sprained hand.

The Pacers are coming off of a tough overtime loss to the Rockets, in which Paul George was once again their highest scorer. George totaled 20 points, and is averaging 24.2 points per game this season. Before this loss, the Pacers were enjoying a two-game winning streak. They will come into this game after one day of rest after a long four-game road trip. An advantage Indiana has going into the game is that unlike Phoenix, their team is very healthy right now and isn’t experiencing any major setbacks in their lineup.

Miami Heat vs. Phoenix Suns

The Miami Heat (21-14) will be hosted by the Phoenix Suns (15-24) at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday evening. Fanpicks.com is proud to announce its RotoPicker free to use tool, which allows you to create winning line ups and dominate your fantasy basketball competition.  Play the most exciting contest, including the newest $25K Grand Action and Point Spread contests only at Fanpicks.com the premiere daily fantasy basketball

Starting Lineup Miami comes into this game winning three of its last four and this game may mean more to the Heat than appears on the surface. This marks the return of Goran Dragic back to Phoenix after an ugly exit from there last February. Luckily for him and Miami, they are playing the Suns at the best time possible with Phoenix losing nine of its last 10. What’s made the Heat so good this season is their defense, as they rank top-three in numerous defensive categories. This should be an easy win for them if they score 100-plus, considering the Suns offense has fallen apart since the loss of Eric Bledsoe. Look for Miami to use Dragic as much as possible here to stick it to his former team. The contrast of styles is interesting here as well, as the Heat are one of the three-slowest teams, while the Suns are one of the three-fastest teams in the league.

The Suns had a nine-game losing streak prior to winning their most recent game. They ended up beating the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, who are also struggling immensely right now. This Phoenix lineup is a shell of itself right now though, with players like Ronnie Price and Jon Leuer starting. The projected starting five at the beginning of the year was Tyson Chandler, Markieff Morris, P.J. Tucker, Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight. Considering Tucker and Chandler have been in and out of the lineup, the only one who remains a consistent starter has been Knight. It’s a mixture of injuries and immaturity that has killed this team and they are looking like one of the worst teams in the NBA right now. That can be exemplified by the fact that they come into this matchup as a six-point underdog in their home building.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Phoenix Suns

The Charlotte Hornets (17-17) will host the Phoenix Suns  (14-24) at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday evening. Fanpicks.com is proud to announce its RotoPicker free to use tool, which allows you to create winning line ups and dominate your fantasy basketball competition.  Play the most exciting contest, including the newest $10K Grand Action and Point Spread contests only at Fanpicks.com the premiere daily fantasy basketball site

Fantasy basketball Things are rolling down hill in Charlotte right now and this is a win they desperately need. They come into this matchup with a 4-10 record on the road and losing nine of their last 12 games in total. That rough stretch correlates with injuries to Nicolas Batum and Al Jefferson. Batum is questionable to play in this game, but Jefferson is surely out after getting knee surgery last week. Kemba Walker has been fantastic lately though, as he is averaging 26.8 points, 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals over his last six games. They’ll need another performance like that from Kemba here if they want to get out of their recent slide and win against an even beleaguered team.

If things are rolling down hill for Charlotte, Phoenix has fallen off the cliff and is buried deep down in the ground. The Suns have lost nine-straight games with many of those coming against weak competition. That rough stretch directly correlates to an injury to Eric Bledsoe and it’s clear this team is not the same without him. The whole Markieff Morris saga is a nuisance as well, as the owner recently called him out for his lack of maturity. Everything is falling apart in Phoenix right now and they are climbing up the lottery rankings seemingly every game with the way they are playing. There doesn’t seem to be much to be happy about as a Suns fan and changes may be on the horizon if the struggles continue. With all that said, they still only come into this game as just a three-point underdog.

LA Clippers vs Phoenix Suns – 4/14/15 NBA Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions

NBA Cash Draft Picks

The NBA regular season is winding down and TNT will televise a doubleheader from the pro basketball hardwood. We will focus on Game 2 on Tuesday April 14th with best fantasy player picks from the game involving the LA Clippers on the road to the Phoenix Suns at 10:30PM Eastern Time.

This will be the final regular season game for both teams. The LA Clippers are trying to gain home court advantage in the first and second round of the playoffs as they sit tied with San Antonio and Houston for that precious number two seed. The Clippers are on a back to back in this spot after hosting the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. As they took the court to face Denver the Clips have won five straight and nine of their past ten games. The Clippers are the number two scoring and shooting team in the NBA by averaging 106 points and 47.3% shooting per game.

The Phoenix Suns have been eliminated from playoff considerate as they play the Clippers with a record of 39-42. The team did not recover emotionally from the trade of both productive guards in Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas. The Suns have lost four straight and nine of their past ten games as they reach 100 points in just two of their past ten games. Phoenix is 26th in the NBA in scoring defense by allowing 103 points per game. Their lack of size makes the Suns vulnerable to teams with size in the paint that has players who can score around the bucket. As expected following the trade the Suns have been inconsistent for NBA fantasy draft managers.

Phoenix Suns Point Guard: Eric Bledsoe has played in 80 of the 81 Suns games. He played 41 minutes on Sunday at San Antonio as the Suns point guard produced 20 points and ten assists. He will be rested having last played Sunday and will have a day off between each of his past three games. Bledsoe without the added depth of Dragic and Thomas in the backcourt has seen his production well below seasonal averages in back to back spots.

Phoenix Suns Shooting Guard: With the injury to Brandon Knight it is Gerald Green seeing increased minutes. He poured in 23 minutes and grabbed four rebounds in 26 minutes of play at San Antonio on Sunday. In three games against the LA Clippers this season Green has averaged nearly 16 points and dished 2 ½ assists per game.

Phoenix Suns Power Forward: Markieff Morris has played in all 81 games for the Suns this season He has averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds per game over his past three games. Markieff Morris has been well below seasonal averages in both scoring and rebuilding against the size of the Clippers in the paint.

Phoenix Suns Small Forward: P.J. Tucker has gotten minutes but hasn’t underperformed. Tucker over his past five games has averaged 32 minutes but is hitting only 32% from the field and averaging just eight points a game because of his inaccuracy.

Phoenix Suns Center: Alex Len has a broken nose and is listed as out for the rest of the year.

LA Clippers Point Guard: Chris Paul saw 37 minutes in their win against Denver on Monday night. He was productive with 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. This is a big game seed wise for the Clippers as the have a shot of earning a two seed in the west with a win in this game. Over his past five games Paul is shooting 50% from the field and 46% from the three point line while averaging 11 ½ assists.

LA Clippers Shooting Guard: J.J. Redick continued his productive ways in their win on Monday. Redick had 20 points as the hit on 3 of 5 from three. Redick has averaged 20 points per game over his past five games but grabs very little rebounds and dishes very few assists.

LA Clippers Power Forward: Blake Griffin logged in 40 minutes as the Clippers had trouble separating from the Denver Nuggets until the final minutes of their game on Monday. Griffin had 22 points with nine rebounds and eight assists in the win. The Suns lack size around the bucket so Griffin could produce better than season averages in this spot.

LA Clippers Small Forward: Matt Barnes is in the starting lineup on account of his defensive skills. But with given the chance he will produce offensively. After back to back single digit scoring games Barnes had 11 points on Monday in the win.

LA Clippers Center: DeAndre Jordan had a monster rebounding game on Monday as he pulled down 21 boards. Against an undersized Suns team Jordan could have a big game on Tuesday.

Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors- 4/2/15 NBA Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions

NBA Cash Draft PicksThe TNT late night game for fantasy mock draft managers to form a roster from will be a Western conference tilt as the Golden St Warriors are home to the Phoenix Suns. The tip time from Golden St is 10:30PM Eastern Time.

We are now less than two weeks away from the end of the NBA regular season. When setting up an NBA fantasy draft it’s important to track who will play and who will not. The Golden St Warriors have clinched best record in the Western conference with over two weeks remaining in the regular season. Head coach Steve Kerr has addressed the issue about resting his starters. Kerr was once a shooting guard and knows the importance of keeping his team sharp before the playoffs start. Kerr has made it known that he will play his starters. Expect some rest for players on back to back situations on the road. Kerr is smart enough to keep management happy by having his stars play and not sit in front of his home crowd. Look for Kerr to rest starters or limit minutes in road games moving forward.

The Phoenix Suns enters play with a record of 38-37. They have just seven games remaining in the regular season and sit four games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the final playoff spot out west. The Suns can ill afford any more losses now as things have gotten desperate. Phoenix in a fight for their playoff lives have lost four straight games entering play so the team could have played their way out of the playoffs this week. Scoring has been a major issue as the team has been held to under 100 points in five straight games.

Phoenix Suns Point Guard: With Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas moved at the trading deadline more was expected from point guard Eric Bledsoe. Some thought he could be among the league leaders in points and assists or at the very least above season averages in both categories. There has been no improvement. Bledsoe is a good point guard but he is far from elite and that’s what NBA fantasy cash league players are trying to project when looking for edges.

Phoenix Suns Shooting Guard: With Marcus Thornton out the Suns have been rotating Archie Goodwin and Gerald Green. Green has seen his minutes greatly reduced in March. The shooting guards for Phoenix right now are one to star away from for NBA draft rosters.

Phoenix Suns Power Forward: Markieff Morris put up some good numbers on Sunday in a big game at home to Oklahoma City where he posted 24 points and seven rebounds hitting 10 of 20 shots in 33 minutes. He has not produced against the Warriors this year by averaging 9 points and 36% shooting in three games played.

Phoenix Suns Small Forward: P.J. Tucker has been up and down for the Suns in recent games. In his last effort against Portland on Monday he contributed with 10 points and nine rebounds. In three games against Golden St this season Tucker has shot just 31% from the floor and averaged five points per game.

Phoenix Suns Center: Suns center Alex Len broke his nose and is expected to miss a week of play after his surgery on Thursday. Power forward Brandon Wright will get the start in Len’s place. Wright has averaged 26 minutes the past ten games and is averaging 8 points and 6 rebounds.

Golden St Warriors Point Guard: With the Warriors locking up the number one seed Curry has saw an average of 33 minutes the past three games. Curry has been good against Phoenix by scoring nearly 30 points and dishing 7 ½ assists per game.

Golden St Warriors Shooting Guard: Klay Thompson is coming off a 25 point and eight rebound performance at the LA Clippers on Tuesday. Thompson’s home road splits are significant as he hits 50% from the floor at home and 42% on the road.

Golden St Warriors Power Forward: David Lee has seen an increase in minutes for an injured Draymond Green. The nine year veteran Lee put up 17 points and seven rebounds in the win at the Clippers on Tuesday.

Golden St Warriors Small Forward: Harrison Barnes has been inconsistent of late. He scored just one point on a 0-7 night from the field against the Clippers on Tuesday and had 3 points in 24 minutes at Memphis on Friday night.

Golden St Warriors Center: Andrew Bogut has been healthy and seeing limited minutes due to past health concerns. Over his past five games Bogut is averaging 5 ½ points. 10 rebounds, a block and 3 ½ assists per game.

Portland Trailblazers vs  Phoenix Suns- 3/30/15 NBA Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions

NBA Cash Draft Picks

The bail out game for daily fantasy sports managers will be nationally televised by NBA TV as the Portland Trailblazers will host the Phoenix Suns at 10PM Eastern Time.

Portland has ten remaining games left this regular season while the Phoenix Suns will be playing their 74th game of the year meaning there are just eight games remaining. This game has important meaning for both teams as the Trailblazers are battling for home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs while the Suns sit four games behind Oklahoma City for the final playoff spot.

The Suns are on a back to back and will be playing their third game in four nights. They suffered a back breaking loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday. The significance of that loss was the fact that the Suns are chasing the Thunder for the final playoff berth and it knocked Phoenix four games back of OKC with only eight games remaining. We will take a look at some picks for NBA mock drafts in One Day Fantasy Leagues.

Phoenix Point Guards: Eric Bledsoe is coming off a 39 minute game on Sunday where he produced 15 points and seven assists. He committed a high six turnovers. Friday night Bledsoe saw 38 minutes against the Trailblazers at home where he scored 13 points and dished seven assists in an 87-81 home loss to the Trailblazers. Bledsoe’s production has gone downward since playing his third game in four nights at home to Dallas on March 22nd. The concern is that Bledsoe could be wearing down with Dragic and Isaiah Thomas being dealt at the trading deadline.

Phoenix Shooting Guards: Gerald Green has only played in five of the teams past ten games and averaged over eleven minutes with nearly six points per game average. He played 13 minutes in the team’s home loss to Portland on Friday and scored 12 points and pulled down five rebounds.

Trailblazers Point Guards: Point guard Damian Lillard is coming off two down performances scoring eight points on Saturday home to Denver and scoring 11 points and dishing just four assists against Phoenix on Friday.

Trailblazers Shooting Guards: With the injury to Wesley Matthews veteran shooting guard Arron Afflalo is seeing major minutes. He is coming off a nice 21 point and five rebound performance Saturday at home to Denver.

Suns Power Forwards: Power forward Marcus Morris has seen increased production by averaging 17 points per game over his past three games. Morris poured in 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds at home to Portland on Friday. Markieff Morris is coming off a 24 point game Sunday at home to Oklahoma City. He turned the ball over five times against Portland on Friday.

Suns Small Forwards: P.J. Tucker has been inconsistent. After averaging 4 ½ points per game against Sacramento and Portland Tucker scored 12 points and dished out four assists against OKC on Sunday.

Trailblazers Power Forwards: LaMarcus Aldridge is playing through a hand injury that a few weeks ago required surgery. Aldridge, who is in his contract year opted to play though this injured hand. He has had back to back outstanding performance by averaging 30 points per game and ten rebounds in wins against Denver and Phoenix. He hit 26 of 46 shots in those two games. Aldridge looks to be a play on for fantasy basketball mock drafts as he is trying to better his resume for a max contract once the free agency period begins during the offseason.

Trailblazers Small Forwards: Nicolas Batum was bothered by a bad back which forced him to miss two games last week. He returned averaging 34 ½ minutes in two games. On Saturday Batum scored 15 points and dished out seven assists in the 120-114 win Saturday night at home to Denver. Batum has had success against an undersized Phoenix team as he has averaged 17 points and nearly eight rebounds in the three games these teams met this year.

Suns Centers: Center Alex Len is only producing an average of five points per game over his past ten games. He had a disappointing six points and five rebounds in 30 minutes of play Friday home to Portland.

Trailblazers Centers: Both Robin Lopez and Chris Kaman alternate time at center. With players at the seven foot tall range it makes sense to include two in the rotation as these players have been prone to injuries. Lopez put up 12 points and grabbed ten rebounds against an undersized Suns team on Friday. Kaman has been listed as out with a shoulder injury. Joel Freeland has seen limited time in Kaman’s absence and has been unimpressive for fantasy managers.
