Fantasy Playoffs Basketball Preview

The Raptors have been disappointing this 1st round of playoffs and come in this game pumped, hoping to snap their first round series losing streak. They’re on verge of getting knocked out for the 4th straight time in the first round of NBA playoffs basketball, and it would be such of shame after this record winning regular season and talented squad’s efforts. Unfortunately for the Raptors, their two top players DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry are struggling at the worst potential time. Even though they’ve received some extra surprising efforts from Bismack Biyombo who’s 8 or more boards per game in 4 straight contests could help their resurgence. Defense has been a key indicator in every wins in this series, as the winning team has always scored at least 100 Pts. The Raptors are favorite in this one statically speaking and on paper, however we’ve seen them have ridiculous issues in previous Game 7 matchups.

Indiana has really surprised everyone and rocked the odds in this series. They took care of business on home court and have been playing exceptionally well in defense. A matter fact, they were able to hold Toronto to only 37% shooting from the field and a mere 39 pts in last game’s 2nd half. All of their starters were in double digit scoring figures in their win. Paul George’s playoff comeback has been very effective and his peers Monta Ellis, Myles Turner and George Hill have all stepped up in their nothing to lose approach to the game.

The first of three games tonight pits the Pacers against the Raptors. Indiana will look to take a 2-0 lead on the road versus Toronto in their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series at Air Canada Centre.Fantasy Basketball

The Pacers hope to follow on their impressive 100-90 Game 1 victory with another one before the series heads to Indiana. Paul George provided a game-high 33 points (12-22 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding six assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks in 38 minutes. Monta Ellis also contributed with 15 points (5-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes. The Pacers were 11 for 21 in three-point attempts on Saturday, after going just 16 of 55 in their last two regular season games with the Raptors. The Pacers broke a five-game losing streak at Air Canada Centre on Saturday, where they had not won since March 1, 2013.

The Raptors will try to rebound from Saturday’s Game 1 defeat and will need to find a way to stop Paul George in the process.  A factor that should be key in the Raptor’s success will be the play of the star guard duo DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. DeRozan scored 14 points (5-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding four assists, two rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes. Lowry added 11 (3-13 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-9 FT), seven assists, two rebounds, two steals, and a block in 41 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas set a club record with 15 rebounds in the first half of Saturday’s game. The Raptors finished off the regular-season with a 32-9 record at home.

NBA Cash Draft Magic vs Pacers

Dominate your competition with our NBA Cash Draft, create the winning lineup at The Orlando Magic (31-43) and Indiana Pacers (39-35) face off  at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.Fantasy Basketball

Although their playoffs hopes have long since faded, the Magic are still playing for respect, shrugging off a six-game skid to win their last two games, the most recent a Tuesday night drubbing of the visiting Brooklyn Nets, 139-105. Andrew Nicholson led the team in the victory, dropping 24 points and taking in 3 rebounds, shooting a perfect 9 of 9 from the paint and 3 of 3 from beyond the arc. Aaron Gordon contributed 20 points and 4 boards, shooting 9 of 11 from field goal range, while Elfrid Payton got the start and finished the evening with 11 points and 12 dimes for the double-double. With 9 points and 6.5 boards per match-up this year, Gordon has played in all but one of Orlando’s games in their disappointing campaign, and ranks third on the team in rebounds behind ex-teammate Tobias Harris and the injured Nikola Vucevic. The Magic are mired in the 11th place in the Eastern Conference, eight games out of a postseason position.

The Pacers have gone 5-5 in their past ten games, and can ill-afford to drop another game with their Playoff seeding in the balance, this after losing to visiting Central Division rivals the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, 98-96. Paul George did his best to lift up the team, putting 20 points on the board, while hauling in 9 rebounds and facilitating 5 assists. He went 7 of 16 from the paint in the process. Ian Mahinmi posted 18 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 9 of 12 from field goal range, while C.J. Miles came off the bench to finish with 7 points. The Indiana collective shot an abysmal 15.8% from far, where they average 34.7% on the season. The squad now find themselves in eighth place in the East, two games ahead of the ninth place Chicago Bulls. With eight games remaining to the regular season, the Pacers will play four games on home court and four on the road, where they have a 16-21 record.

Fantasy Basketball Value Picks Bulls vs Pacers

Dominate your competition with our NBA Fantasy Basketball Value Picks, create the winning lineup at The Chicago Bulls (36-37) visits the host Indiana Pacers (39-34) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Fantasy Basketball
Chicago is really struggling lately and they find themselves on the outside looking in for the playoffs. They come into this game losing four-straight, with three of those losses coming against low ranked teams. One problem has been the road form, as they have an awful 12-23 record away from United Center. The Bulls now are three games out of the eight-seed in the east and that may be too difficult to overcome with less than 10 games left in the season.

The Pacers have won three of their last four and it comes at a important time during the season. Indiana is one of four teams contending for the final two playoff spots in the east, but they are the favorites to take it holding the seventh place. Their strength has been the defense, as they now rank seventh in points given after being an average defense for the first few months of the season.

This is a rivalry match-up and with how much the Bulls have been struggling recently, the Pacers should be a sizable favorite in this confrontation.

Starting lineup
Cleveland is on a 4 game winning streak, averaging well over 113 pts in those games. Their most recent came was an impressive one against the San Antonio Spurs, currently ranked second in the league in wins. Cavs’s leader, LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 29 pts while Kevin Love added 21 pts and Kyrie Irving continuing his great performances posting also 21 pts. The Cavs are full of confidence going into this game with their Big 3 performing and having an extra day to rest before this matchup.

Indiana may have to play without their star center Ian Mahinmi due to a lower back injury. The Pacers struggled a lot during January losing 6 of 7 games in a sequence towards the end of the month but rebounded back with a great win against the Hawks on Thursday and then again Denver on Saturday. Monta Ellis led the Pacers the past two games after Indiana had to changed up their starting 5 to include the rookie, Myles Turner. Turner performed quite well averaging 14.7 pts, 7 boards, 2 blocks and 1.3 steals the past 3 games.

Washington Wizards vs. Indiana Pacers

Starting LineupThe Wizards find themselves on a three-game winning streak following impressive road wins over the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls. Wednesday night saw the team return to Verizon Center to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks, 106-101, to remain steady at fourth place in the Southeast Division. John Wall led Washington with 19 points and 8 assists, while Ramon Sessions came off the bench for 15 points and 5 assists. Bradley Beal finally returned to action for the Wizards, netting 11 points in 23 minutes played. Beal had been sidelined with a left leg injury for the last 16 games, and is still the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 19.3 points per game, second only to Wall. Marcin Gortat found himself out of action for the second straight game with a left knee infection. The Polish center, averaging 9.7 rebounds per contest this season, is listed as day-to-day heading into Friday’s match-up.

The Pacers remain consistent in their inconsistency as of late, alternating wins and losses in the last week, with the Wednesday night trip to Boston seeing them fall to the Celtics, 103-94. Paul George had 23 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 7 of 20 from the field to lead Indiana in production. Ian Mahinmi put up a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double and Monta Ellis went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc as the team holds onto a tenuous grip of fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers shot an embarrassing 5-for-30 from long range, an area where they maintain a respectable 35.5% average on the season. After going 11-2 in the month of November, the team has struggled entering the new year, finishing December 7-9 and now sitting at 4-3 in January. 9-12 on the road, the Pacers have a difficult four-game Western trip ahead of them next week which includes a stop in Golden State to take on the Warriors.

Phoenix Suns vs. Indiana Pacers

The Phoenix Suns (13-26) will be hosted by the Indiana Pacers (21-16) at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Tuesday evening. is proud to announce its RotoPicker free to use tool, which allows you to create winning line ups and dominate your fantasy basketball competition.  Play the most exciting contest, including the newest $25K Grand Action and Point Spread contests only at the premiere daily fantasy basketball

Starting Lineup The Suns have won just one game of their past ten games, but seem to be working better together and adjusting to the loss of their highest scorer, Eric Bledsoe. Before his season-ending meniscus injury, Bledsoe was averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Their next highest scoring guard, Brandon Knight has had to pick up the slack and play heavy minutes in Bledsoe’s absence. Another problem for Phoenix will be the loss of Alex Len, who is out with a sprained hand.

The Pacers are coming off of a tough overtime loss to the Rockets, in which Paul George was once again their highest scorer. George totaled 20 points, and is averaging 24.2 points per game this season. Before this loss, the Pacers were enjoying a two-game winning streak. They will come into this game after one day of rest after a long four-game road trip. An advantage Indiana has going into the game is that unlike Phoenix, their team is very healthy right now and isn’t experiencing any major setbacks in their lineup.

Indiana Pacers vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Starting Lineup After suffering an overtime loss to the Heat on Monday night, the Pacers bounced back in Orlando, defeating the Magic 95-86 on Wednesday. Paul George had a game-high 20 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-9 FT), along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals in just under 36 minutes. George Hill, who missed Monday’s loss due to food poisoning, was back in the starting lineup Wednesday and contributed 16 points (5-9 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 34 minutes. The Pacers haven’t lost to Pelicans since April 3, 2011 and will look to keep the streak alive on Friday night.

The Pelicans defeated the Mavericks on Saturday, but fell short in their rematch on Wednesday night, losing 100-91. It was a poor showing from the Pelicans, who lost to a Dallas team who only played 10 players, resting four of their regular starters. Even in the loss, Anthony Davis had a great showing with 26 points (11-25 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals in 42 minutes. Tyreke Evans, who returned to the court after missing Saturday’s win, contributed 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 35 minutes. Three-point specialist Ryan Anderson has been shaky of late, going 3-for-19 from beyond the arc in the past four games. With a win on Friday, the Pelicans will improve to .500 at home this season with an 8-8 mark.
