Fantasy Basketball Thunder vs Spurs Game 1 Preview

The 2nd ranked San Antonio pretty much swept the Grizzlies in a commanding fashion as expected. They’re coming off a full week of rest and ready to head back into back after posting their 7th series swept in 9 years. The league’s Defensive Player of the Year, Kawhi Leonard had a tremendous first round. He was not only a threat offensively but was also impressive in the rebounding section, constantly making him a fantasy lineup sure shot. His French peer, Tony Parker was also solid from the field with his mix of speed and dribbling. their big man LaMarcus Aldridge ended up the series on a double-double note and averages 14.5 pts with 8 boards a game. It seems like he’s found his Trail Blazers’ rhythm and fits right in with the Spurs. This could be extremely menacing for the Thunder as well as the defending champions, Golden State Warriors.

The Thunder finished off the Dallas Mavericks this past Monday to end the series in 5 games. This will be the first time that Oklahoma City advances to the Semifinals in 2 years. Russell Westbrook has been putting up MVP numbers this year and even in the series against the Mavs. His sidekick, Kevin Durant is as consistent as it gets. Westbrook finished off Monday with 36 pts, 12 boards and 9 assists and frequently posts near triple double numbers. Durant finished with 33 pts on monday with 7 boards. Durant and Westbrook are ranked 4th and 5th in the postseason scoring race with each averaging around 26 pts. They’ve had some help as well from Steven Adam who recorded a double double too. This will be the first time that both teams meet since 2014 when they lost the series 4-2 against the Spurs in the Conference Finals. The season series is split at 2-2 and this series will be one hell of a show.

Fantasy Basketball NBA Playoffs

Memphis Grizzlies vs San Antonio Spurs

The Memphis Grizzlies will travel to Texas to battle the San Antonio Spurs in the 1st game of the their Western Conference series at the tough AT&T Center, a venue where the Spurs only lost once this season to the Warriors. Fantasy Basketball NBA Playoffs

San Antonio pretty much swept the season series and it will be very tough to think they can’t sweep this playoff series as well. On top of that, they held the Grizzlies to 87 pts or less in 3 of those 4 games. On Paper, this is the most loopsided series and the Spurs are extremely high favorites to win all games, the largest favorite in the opening.
The Spurs come into this matchup however having lost 3 of their last 5 games. This is the last concern of their head coach Gregg Popvich who’s simply a bit more worried about the health of his team. Most of their losses this end of season were due to resting players. What’s tremendous about this Spurs team is their form at home. They tied the NBA record for home wins going 40-1 this campaign. Their defense is a lot to blame for their success as they rank 1st in in pts allowed.
There’s a lot to admire about this Grizzlies team but unfortunately, not much to hope for. They start the series going against the best team at home and have battled with injuries of their top players such as Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, Mario Chalmers and Zach Randolph. They luckily snuck in the playoffs and in fact, by only winning one of their last 11 games. Zach Randolph is the real catalyst of their team and cannot do it himself. Their offense has held them back lately as they rank in the bottom 6 in both scoring and assists per game.

NBA Basketball Fantasy Draft

San Antonio Spurs vs Denver Nuggets

Gregg Popovich’s hot San Antonio Spurs will be heading Colorado to face the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center Friday night after their tough game against arch rivals Golden State Warriors last night. This NBA basketball fantasy draft preview is brought you by FanPicks.com. Come PLAY in our Daily Fantasy Basketball contests at FanPicks and get a free chance to win $1 Million dollars!

NBA Basketball Fantasy Draft

The Nuggets come into this game having lost 5 of their last 6 games. They’re definitely hoping to end this long frustrating season as soon as possible. They’re a young team with some potential to look forward too and possibly one of the best core in the NBA. They’re heading into this game with no possible way to get in the playoffs and will most likely play everyone on their roster. Their opponents, the second biggest powerhouse in the NBA will most likely rest all their top players, therefore, they could potentially snatch up a win with some hard work. San Antonio remains a favorite regardless in this game regardless of the circumstances.

San Antonio has only lost 5 games since the end of January. Their only losses have came against elite playoff teams and their solid defense has been nothing less than remarkable all year. Their consistent results just shows everyone how good this team is and they will most likely continue to play this low key fantastic way. Although, their most recent loss last night was pretty emphasized as a loss of their pursuit for the top seed in the Western Conference and moreover, the number one overall, their head coach Gregg Popovich focuses strictly on his players fitness for the important post season right around the corner. It will be surprising if their top players get even over 20 minutes of play in this game.

Fantasy NBA Basketball Lineup

San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors

Gregg Popovich’s hot San Antonio Spurs will be heading to Oakland tonight where they will face their arch Western Conference rivals, Golden State warriors. If the Warriors want to beat the Bulls 72 win season, they will need to win their last 4 games in a row starting tonight. This Fantasy NBA basketball lineup is brought you by FanPicks.com. Fantasy NBA Basketball Lineup

So this is it…. the march to 73 wins really starts here for the Warriors as they’re going into the questionably their toughest stretch of the season. A lot of people marked this game on their calendar as the day when the Warriors would lose their first home game of the season. Well, a lot of people were wrong. Ironically, not sure if it’s the pressure but Golden State has lost 2 of their last 3 home games. Many people predicted them blowing out the 72 wins record since no one expected losses against the Boston Celtics and furthermore, a struggling Minnesota Timberwolves squad. It’s now that they’re finally looking like humans. Unfortunately for them, this is the worst time of the year to be slipping in some kind of slump. With the playoffs right around the corner, all the squads are building up the blueprints on how to beat the Warriors. They will most likely come out flying this game but the issue is down the stretch. Will they survive the 4th quarter and tenacity of the San Antonio Spurs as they did back in January when they technically blew them out at home or they will struggle in the last 4 minutes of the game like they did against the T-Wolves. Regardless, this matchup will be exciting to watch.

The Spurs are on another level lately and come into this game having won 4 straight games. On top of that, if they actually beat the Warriors twice in their next 5 games remaining, they have a crack at the top seed in the Western Conference. A lot of speculation from experts believing that Gregg Popovich doesn’t care about beating records and getting the number one seed. It’s quite possible that he rests his top players like he has lately on the road. It would be a huge disappointment to NBA fans as well as Fantasy Basketball fans, so definitely avoid picking out the top Spurs players on your lineup but Ginobili should be hot tonight with a lot of responsibility.  So far this year, these teams have split the first 2 games when facing one another but with the home team winning each game.

NBA Basketball Fantasy Projections

San Antonio Spurs vs Utah Jazz

NBA Basketball Fantasy Projections

The Utah Jazz have been thriving off their defense as well. The surprising fact is that the Jazz actually rank 2nd in the NBA just behind San Antonio. Unfortunately though, they’re barely in the playoffs sitting in eighth in the Western Conference, just one game in front of the Houston Rockets. The Jazz have won 4 of their last 5 heading into this game and clearly have some motivation to obtain their final playoff berth. Utah is also rocking solid at home and made it their fortress with a good 24-14 home record into this game.

San Antonio head into this matchup having won 5 of their last 6 games. What’s really encouraging for them is the way LaMarcus Aldridge has been playing. He is really starting to find his Portland form lately. With this already dominant team, its hard and scary to imagine the damage they can make in the post season. Their key to success this year has been their defense as they ranked 1st in pts allowed since the opening month of the year.

Memphis Grizzlies vs San Antonio Spurs

Gregg Popovich’s red hot San Antonio Spurs will be hosting the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night at the AT & T Center. FanPicks is proud to bring you this Fantasy NBA Basketball preview. Take a break from March Madness and come play in our NBA Magic Million contest where you can win up to a $1 million this week at FanPicks.

Fantasy NBA Basketball preview
The Spurs are coming into this game after a resounding home win against the Miami Heat two days ago, 112-88. Unfortunately for them, Kawhi Leonard had to leave in the second half with an injury after an incredible performance of 32 pts, 8 boards, a steal and a block. He will not be playing tonight and could potentially miss a few games since the Spurs rather rest him before playoffs.

The Spurs were shooting 51.9% from the field and 57.1% from beyond the arc.
San Antonio are just 4 games behind top seed and defending champions Golden State Warriors in the Conference lead and are still perfect at home with a 36-0 records, dropping only one game in their last 8.
Memphis are coming into this game after a loss to the struggling Los Angeles Lakers 107-100. The Grizzlies were led by Tony Allen’s 27 pts, 5 assists, 4 boards and a steal effort. Zach Randolph added a monstrous 16 pts, 6 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals and a block.

The Grizzlies, are currently ranked 2nd in the Western Conference’s Southwest Division. They sit in 5th in the Conference but should watch out as they’ve dropped 5 of their last 7 contests.

The Spurs have won the first 2 contests this season against Memphis.

NBA Primetime Fantasy preview

Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs

With only 14 games left in the regular season, the top 2 teams in NBA will face off tonight when defending champions Golden State Warriors travel to the AT&T Center to face the San Antonio Spurs. This Fantasy NBA Primetime Fantasy Preview is brought you by FanPicks.com. Come PLAY in our Daily Fantasy Basketball contests at FanPicks and get a free chance to win $1 Million dollars!

NBA Primetime Fantasy preview

The Spurs come into this game having dropped only 1 game in their last 14 and most of all carrying a 43 home game winning streak. This game will be more than fascinating and an important factor is that the Warriors last regular season win in San Antonio dates back to February 14th 1997.

The Spurs are 20-3 since their blowout loss to the Warriors and with their playoff berth already safe and secured, Gregg Popovich is trying to rest some of his players to ensure everyone is ready for the postseason. This is definitely their roughest stretch for any teams performing at this level. The Spurs, the league’s best defense will try to stop the best offensive unit in the NBA and push their home record.

Golden State Warriors have been rising and shining the past 18 months. They come into this game having won 7 straight games as well as 14 of their last 15. This game will be by far the toughest test of their season despite their 30 point blowout of San Antonio back in January. For only the fourth time this season, they’re seen as an underdog here, as they’ve lost 32 straight games in San Antonio. Yes, 32 but this time, the Splash Brothers dynamic duo will be in full force as they hit 16 3-pointers last night and combined for 70 points in their win against the Mavericks in Dallas.

Statistically speaking, this will be the best regular-season matchup of all time in NBA history with a combination between opponents of 119 wins and only 16 losses.

Portland Trail Blazers vs San Antonio Spurs

Gregg Popovich’s San Antonio Spurs, en route to capture the league’s second-longest home winning streak will be hosting The Portland Trail Blazers at AT&T Center on Thursday night. Fantasy NBA Preview

San Antonio are on a 42 home game winning streak, 3 games shy of the NBA record prior to Golden State eclipsing the 90’s Bulls record. In fact, they’re clearly being overlooked this year due to the ridiculous records being pulled by the Warriors and the Spurs are having a wonderful season, one of the best in recent times. Not only they’re ranking first in points allowed with their solid defensive play, but are also on pace to have the best all time point differential in the NBA’s history. The whole team is playing extremely well including Kawhi Leonard who has really stepped us his already high level game but also LaMarcus Aldrige. Aldrige who led the Trail Blazers in scoring the last 5 seasons signed surprisingly to the Spurs in the summer and integrated his new team quite well.

The Trail Blazers, despite being a hot team the past 2 months are on an ugly stride right now, having dropped 5 of their last 7 games and in terrible fashion. Their defense is non-existent allowing over 109 pts in 6 of those 7 last games. Their offense is still solid led by Damian Lillard and ranking 8th in the league for points scored. With the playoff around the corner, they will need to really pace themselves and focus further defensively to secure their berth. The Spurs are far favourites in this contest.

Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs Fantasy Basketball News – 02-06-16

The San Antonio Spurs (42-8) will be hosting their struggling Western Conference old rivals at the AT&T Center, the Los Angeles Lakers (11-41). FanPicks has this game on tap for tonight’s DFS action. Come play Fantasy Basketball at fanpicks.com.

Projected Lineup

LAL vs SAS
The Lakers after losing 9 straight games bounced back recently with a two game winning streak, however against weaker opponents. Kobe Bryant has been playing incredibly well, especially the past 3 games around 30 pts a game with 8 boards. Kobe is really looking like an All-Star making everyone in L.A excited. The Lakers are unfortunately still ranked in the bottom 4 in the NBA when it comes to pts allowed per game and pts scored.
The Spurs come into this game winning their past 3 matchups by an average of 13 pts difference. Other than their matchup against defending champions, Golden State Warriors, the Spurs have shown no signs of weaknesses. Ranking amongst the top 5 in the NBA for pts scored, allowed, bench pts and assists in the league. San Antonio is obviously a big favourite in this matchup.

San Antonio Spurs  vs Cleveland Cavaliers – 01/30/16 Preview

The Cavaliers (33-12) will be hosting the Spurs during this big Primetime NBA battle in Ohio at Quicken Loans Arena Saturday night. San Antonio are odd favorites to win (line: -1.5). 2016-01-30 6-00-12 PMThe Spurs have won 20 of their last 22 games and are obviously one of the top 2 hottest teams in the league. Their only losses came at the mercy of top teams during that streak including a huge one against defending champions, Golden State Warriors by 30 pts earlier this week on Monday. They got back from that tough defeat and put up a 31 pts difference win over the Houston Rockets. They remain undefeated at home and all 7 of their losses have been on the road. This is definitely one of their toughest games of the season since they’ve had a pretty light schedule so far. The Spurs are ranked in the top 5 teams in the NBA when it comes to points scored, points allowed, bench pts and assists.

David Blatt’s shocking firing is still most of the talk in Cleveland right now. The Cavs after being blown apart by the Warriors have resurged back and won 3 straight games since. The latest of those wins came last night at the mercy of the Detroit Pistons. Lebron James almost had a triple double while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love posting respectively 28 and 29 pts. The Cavs, questionably the most talented team in the league thrives off its defending and ranked 3rd in pts allowed this season.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Detroit Pistons

The San Antonio Spurs (33-6) will face the Detroit Pistons (21-16) on Tuesday evening. Fanpicks.com is proud to announce its RotoPicker free to use tool, which allows you to create winning line ups and dominate your fantasy basketball competition.  Play the most exciting contest, including the newest $25K Grand Action and Point Spread contests only at Fanpicks.com the premiere daily fantasy basketball

Starting Lineup The Spurs come into the contest fresh off a 106-79 shellacking of the Brooklyn Nets on Monday in what was Nets interim head coach Tony Brown’s first game. LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with a performance straight out of his Portland heyday, amassing a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double in which he shot a stellar 12-for-17 from the field. Kawhi Leonard supported Aldridge’s remarkable effort with 17 points and eight rebounds of his own. Veterans Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, whose playing time coach Gregg Popovich is perpetually mindful of, were able to get by with playing 25 and 22 minutes, respectively, in the blowout victory. San Antonio maintains a stranglehold on the Western Conference’s Southwest Division, having opened up a 10.5 game lead over the second-place Dallas Mavericks. The Spurs also come into Detroit riding an eight-game winning streak, equaling their season high. They attack teams from both sides of the ball, as they remain the stingiest defense in the league (89.7 points allowed per game) and sport the best point differential (+13.9), while also boasting the top team field-goal percentage (.491).

The Pistons come into Tuesday on somewhat of a resurgence, having tallied three consecutive victories and four in their last five games. Like San Antonio, they also defeated the hapless Nets in their most recent contest, a 103-89 victory on Saturday. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson led the way with a pair of 23-point efforts, with the former adding 11 rebounds for one of his trademark double-doubles, and the latter dishing out eight assists and hauling in three boards. Ersan Ilyasova also put together one of his best games since donning a Detroit uniform in the offseason, registering a remarkable 19-point, 13-rebound double-double of his own. Starting small forward Marcus Morris missed the contest against Brooklyn with knee tendinitis, and remains questionable for Tuesday. Rookie Stanley Johnson would receive a second consecutive start in his place if Morris remains sidelined. The Pistons will be attempting to break their third-place logjam with the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference’s Central Division by overcoming the formidable challenge presented by San Antonio.

San Antonio Spurs  vs. Brooklyn Nets

The San Antonio Spurs (32-6) will be hosted by the Brooklyn Nets (10-27) on Monday evening.

Starting Lineup The Spurs come into this game with a seven-game winning streak and if they win here, they’ll match a season-high eight-game streak. The defense has been incredible all season, but it’s the offense that’s winning them games recently. They have scored at least 100 points in all eight of those games and are averaging 110 points per game in that span. What’s scary is that they have been regularly sitting starters and still winning games. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them rest starters once again here, as they come into this game as a 14-point favorite against a Nets team that is falling apart.

Things are not going as expected in Brooklyn right now. Fans thought they would have a dynasty there a few years ago when they traded for all those big names, but they are starting to look like one of the worst teams in the NBA right now. Not only are they one of the worst home teams in the NBA, they come into this game losing four-straight. The recent struggles have caused some major stirs in Brooklyn, thus Coach Lionel Hollins and GM Billy King being fired on Sunday. It’s not just behind the scenes though, as the on-court product is simply not what fans expected. Joe Johnson is looking like a shell of himself and there’s no legitimate point guard on the roster to man the offense with the injury to Jarret Jack. Things are really bad in Brooklyn right now and it’s hard to imagine them getting any better against the Spurs on Monday.

New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs

The New York Knicks (18-19) will be hosted by the San Antonio Spurs (31-6) at the AT&T Center on Friday evening.

Starting Lineup The Knicks have are on a three-game win streak, defeating two of the Eastern Conference’s best in the process. After defeating the Hawks two games in a row, the Knicks traveled to Miami on Wednesday and handed the Heat a 98-90 loss. Carmelo Anthony totaled 25 points (9-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 37 minutes. Robin Lopez contributed 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in 35 minutes. The Knicks have been averaging 105.3 points per game during their three-game win streak. They will look to tie their season-high streak of four wins in a row while also handing the Spurs their first home-loss of the season on Friday night.

The Spurs have tallied six straight with their most recent victory coming on Wednesday against the Jazz 123-98. LaMarcus Aldridge sat out of the game in order to rest, giving way for David West to pick up the start. West had 14 points (7-8 FG), 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal in 25 minutes. Tim Duncan added a season-high 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-2 FT), with eight rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 26 minutes. Tony Parker missed his second straight game due to soreness in his right hip and will likely be a game-time decision for Friday’s matchup. The Spurs won their first game against the Knicks this season way back on Nov. 2 by a score of 94-84.
