Top 20 Fantasy Picks NBA DFS
May 11th 2016
Two FanPicks NBA DFS games on tap for today. It all starts at 8pm ET in Toronto, as the Heat and the Raptors will face each other in game 5 to break the 2-2 tie. Three of the four games in this series were decided in overtime. Dwayne Wade has made a lot of enemies north-of-the-border. First, because of his practice routine during the “Oh Canada” national anthem interpretation in game 3, and his solid game throughout the series. Wade will have to contend with the crowd tonight with the contest shifting back to the Air Canada Center. At 10pm ET, the NBA will turn to the West with game 5 of the series between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors could end it tonight at home, as they lead this series 3-1. Golden State’s point guard is fresh off a repeat NBA MVP win and an incredible 40 points performance in game 4. His value is off the roof, and there’s just no way we can expect otherwise from him.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Playoffs – Indiana Pacers versus Toronto Raptors Game 2
NBA fantasy basketball playoffs are in full swing and FanPicks has every up-to-date news and daily picks all the way to the finals, so join here to participate in the biggest contest in sports. The first of three games tonight pits the Pacers against the Raptors. Indiana will look to take a 2-0 lead on the road versus Toronto in their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series at Air Canada Centre.
The Pacers hope to follow on their impressive 100-90 Game 1 victory with another one before the series heads to Indiana. Paul George provided a game-high 33 points (12-22 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding six assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks in 38 minutes. Monta Ellis also contributed with 15 points (5-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes. The Pacers were 11 for 21 in three-point attempts on Saturday, after going just 16 of 55 in their last two regular season games with the Raptors. The Pacers broke a five-game losing streak at Air Canada Centre on Saturday, where they had not won since March 1, 2013.
The Raptors will try to rebound from Saturday’s Game 1 defeat and will need to find a way to stop Paul George in the process. A factor that should be key in the Raptor’s success will be the play of the star guard duo DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. DeRozan scored 14 points (5-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding four assists, two rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes. Lowry added 11 (3-13 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-9 FT), seven assists, two rebounds, two steals, and a block in 41 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas set a club record with 15 rebounds in the first half of Saturday’s game. The Raptors finished off the regular-season with a 32-9 record at home.

The Hawks are on a four-game winning spell and are separating themselves from the rest of the mid-seed pack in the Eastern Conference. Jeff Teague put up a team-leading 26 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists, going 9 of 18 from field goal range and draining all eight of his shot attempts from the foul line. Al Horford and Paul Millsap both registered double-doubles in the victory, Horford with 14 points and 10 boards and Millsap with 11 points and 11 rebounds on a 4 of 12 shooting night from the paint. Atlanta ranks second in the league for assists behind the Golden State Warriors, who are averaging 25.7 dimes per games. Kyle Korver also contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The organization remains third in the Eastern conference, one game in front of the fourth place Miami Heat. Rookie Norman Powell recorded a career-best 18 points, and hauled in 4 rebounds, going 7 of 13 from the paint and 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Powell has been a boon for Toronto over their last few contests, but is still averaging 3.5 points and and 1.8 boards over the course of his 40 games played for the club. Jonas Valanciunas pulled off a double-double with a 10-point, 10-rebound performance, while Patrick Patterson provided bench support with 13 points and a pair of three-pointers. The Raptors sit five games ahead of the third ranked Hawks, with nine games remaining in their campaign. They will end it against the likes of San Antonio, Charlotte and Indiana.

Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Suns Fantasy Basketball News – 02-02-16
The Phoenix Suns (14-35) will be hosting the Toronto Raptors (32-15) in Phoenix this Tuesday at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. FanPicks has this game on tap for tonight’s DFS action. Come play Fantasy Basketball at fanpicks.com.
Toronto is coming back from a tough loss by 19 pts against a well below under .500, Denver Nuggets squad, snapping their impressive 11 game-winning streak. Coach Dwayne Casey called it easily one of the worst performances of the year. Another strange fact is that the Raptors seem to be continuously struggling against the Nuggets, having lost 4 of their last 5 games against them. The Raps are still ranked second in the Eastern Conference, a few games behind the Cavaliers That was and will definitely try to bounce back with their winning ways against the Suns, one of the worst teams in the NBA.
The Phoenix Suns’s rapid decline the past few months just cost Jeff Hornacek’s job earlier this Monday, leaving interim coach Earl Watson in charge of the struggling team. They’ve only won twice in their past 21 games. Ironically, one of the Suns’ rare victories came against the Toronto Raptors. Suns’ Owner has linked his team struggle this year with the “millennial culture” and notably Markief Morris’ strong personality and constant injuries. With most of the main players back, they will try to stop a red hot Toronto team looking to bounce back from their blowout in Denver the night before.
Miami Heat vs Toronto Raptors – 01/22/16 Preview
The Miami Heat (23-20) will face the Toronto Raptors (27-15) on Friday night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The Raptors are the odd favorites to win (line: -9.5). Here is the projected lineup:
Miami, having 6 of their last 7 games are falling out of their contention of top seed in the Eastern Conference. Their latest defeat came at the hands of the Washington Wizards 106-87, Chris Bosh recording 18 pts, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal to lead the way. With more than half of their team on injury report, the Heat head into Toronto hurting. Ruled out already are Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic. The entire starting lineup excluding Bosh is questionable for Friday night’s contest and if not regroup quickly could find themselves out of playoffs. The Heat are 8-11 on the road this season.
In contrary with the Heat, the Raptors are playing very well having won six in a row. They just defeated the Celtics 115-109 with a splendid performance from DeMar DeRozan with 34 pts, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Jonas Valanciunas pitched in with his 8th double-double including 19 pts, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. A win could make the Raptors see their longest winning streak since 2002. So far, the Raps have taken 3 of the last 4 matchups against the Heat.

The Raptors made quick work of the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, 91-74, to hold onto their two-game lead as the top team in the Atlantic Division. Jonas Valanciunas was Toronto’s leading points scorer with 22 in the win, adding 11 rebounds for the double-double. Kyle Lowry added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists while DeMar DeRozan contributed 15 points. A major factor in the Raptors’ ability to remain perched atop their division for the better part of the season has been their stout defense that ranks fourth in the league, allowing opponents an average of only 96.9 points per game. The team has two games remaining in its five-game road trip, before returning to the Air Canada Centre for an eight-game stint at home where they have an 11-6 record.
Washington has dropped four of its last five contests, the latest at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday despite a game effort. All five Wizards starters scored in double digits in the 121-115 defeat, with Garrett Temple leading the charge with 21 points. John Wall recorded another double-double with 20 points and 12 assists, making all four of his attempts from beyond the arc. Wall is second in the NBA in assists, averaging 9.8 per game, behind only Rajon Rondo. The team had an incredibly efficient shooting effort in the game, with 55.3% going in from the paint 58.3% from long range. Washington is a top-ten team from three point land, averaging 36.1% shooting on the season. With the majority of the Southeast struggling to start 2016, the time is now for the Wizards to right their ship and make a push out of last place in the division.
