The Clippers are currently on one their worst stretches of the season and lost 5 of their last 6 games surprisingly. A matter fact, they haven’t won consecutive games since the start of this month. They’re getting beaten badly in the rebounds sections, having been outrebounded 11 straight games. It’s difficult to understand how that’s happening with their big man DeAndre Jordan ranking 2nd in the league in boards. The team is really lacking to keep up with Jordan and will need to step it up with the playoffs right around the corner.
The Trail Blazers come into this matchup having won 2 of their last 3 games including a crucial victory in their playoff contention against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs and Blazers have been battling this second half of the season non stop for the final spots in the Western Conference. With Portland on a slump recently, having won only 4 games out of their last 12, they will definitely need to get back in their hot form of January-February. This will be another critical test for their playoff race but another undervalued asset of their team is their rebounding. With that being, they should take advantage of the Clippers front court difficulties when Jordan isn’t on the floor as they now rank 5th in the NBA in rebounds.

The Hornets are looking like a shell of the team that went 10-5 in November and 7-7 in December. Winless in 2016 and losers of eight of their last ten match-ups, the team that once threatened to make some noise in the Southeast now sits at fourth place in the division and are coming off a 111-102 road loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. All five Hornets starters managed to post double digits in the defeat, which saw Kemba Walker once again lead the club in scoring with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists, while Jeremy Lin and Marvin Williams each contributed 15 points apiece. Cody Zeller put up a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a game that saw Charlotte unable to overcome a slew of defensive flubs down the stretch. Part of the team’s woes comes down to their injured list, which features Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (shoulder) out for the season and Al Jefferson (knee) out as long as six weeks after undergoing meniscus tear surgery last week.
The Clippers, meanwhile, have entered the new year as the hottest team in the NBA after a somewhat bumpy start to the season. The unit was 10-8 at the end of November but have won seven consecutive games, the latest on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, 109-98. Los Angeles improved to 12-7 away from Staples Center as Chris Paul led the way for the team with 21 points and 19 assists. Adding another double-double was Andre Jordan with 14 points and 14 boards as the Clippers begin to close the gap in the West, where they currently sit at fourth place. Wednesday’s contest saw the team score 50.6% from the field, a strong point for Los Angeles as they currently rank fourth in the league with an average of 46.3% field goal shooting per game this season. The Clippers also rank fifth in offense, averaging 103.8 points per contest. Saturday’s game is the first of five at home for the team before heading out on a five-game road trip later in the month.
Los Angeles Clippers versus Golden State Warriors Fantasy Basketball Preview 11-19-2015
The Clippers-Warriors rivalry of recent years is legendary leading to some of the most volatile and spirited matchups in the league. For fans who hate the buddy-buddy relationship that opponents have today, this is the game to watch; the Clippers and Warriors don’t like each other and don’t waste time pretending to either.
The action will no doubt be heated tonight as the Los Angeles Clippers open the doors of their home Staples Center to host the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors continue to show a strong playing form having routed all opponents for 12 straight wins this season, a fitting feat for the defending NBA Champions. The Golden State’s top gun and reigning MVP Stephen Curry has essentially become the Warriors’ point guard and shooting guard this season, taking even more of the offense over in the early going. There’s an ever growing clamor that the Warriors are well positioned to challenge and beat Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls 72 win season.
During last Tuesday game, the Warriors were steadfast in extinguishing a late rally beating the Toronto Raptors in a 115-110 match. Curry showed exceptional playing form scoring 37 points while completing nine assists to ensure the Warriors victory.
Leading all-star Clippers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin bring additional spice to one of the most talented team. Yet, the Clippers have not been able to reign in this talent relative to create the postseason momentum that was expected by this team. C DeAndre Jordan was grabbed up by Los Angeles even after he had agreed to play for the Dallas Mavericks.
The injury plagued Clippers come into this game following four losses in their last six games. This past Sunday saw the crippled Clippers rally from trailing at halftime to defeat the Detroit Pistons 101-96.
Here are some recent betting trends:

Both Chris Paul and J.J. Redick of the Clippers are sidelined with a groin and back injury respectively. Ranked as being one of the top five in overall best defensive play, we predict that the Warriors will have an easy win 103-91 over an injury weakened Los Angeles crew…
