FanPicks.com has an NBA rundown to get you ready for live fantasy basketball contests.
Kings vs Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers are mired in a funk and LeBron James is getting mighty antsy about it. Cleveland dropped five of its last seven games, including Monday’s 124-122 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Rockets vs Celtics
The Rockets have been exchanging wins and losses for the past seven games (3-4) and five of the results have been decided by at least 13 points.
Heat vs Nets
The Miami Heat picked up a signature win and found a third star to compliment Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside in a 105-102 triumph over the NBA-best Golden State Warriors on Monday. The Heat will try to push their season-best winning streak to five straight against the Brooklyn Nets.
Hawks vs Bulls
The Atlanta Hawks steamrolled over the Chicago Bulls for three quarters on Friday. They are now set to meet for a third time this season. Chicago’s reserves played a dominating fourth quarter to significantly close the gap as Atlanta claimed a 102-93 decision.
76ers vs Bucks
The Philadelphia 76ers continue to make stunning strides and look to lasso their 10th victory in 13 contests versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The 76ers will be without star center Joel Embiid (knee) for the second straight night, but his absence didn’t prevent the club from posting a 121-110 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
Raptors vs Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have had plenty of time to stew over their most lopsided home loss of the season. Legs should be fresh for their matchup with the Toronto Raptors. The Canadian team is coming off a 108-106 home loss to San Antonio on Tuesday and have lost three straight on the second half of back-to-backs.
Thunder vs Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans managed to earn a win without All-Star forward Anthony Davis on Monday but would prefer to have their best player available on Wednesday. Davis would serve as the last line of defense against Russell Westbrook’s drives to the basket.
Warriors vs Hornets
The Golden State Warriors haven’t dropped back-to-back regular-season games since April 2015 and will put that streak on the line against the Charlotte Hornets. The Warriors had their latest winning streak end at seven straight in a 105-102 setback at Miami on Monday.
Knicks vs Mavericks
The New York Knicks finally managed to pull out a close game on Monday, though it probably never should have gotten tight at the end in the first place. The Knicks will try to build a lead and maintain it throughout the fourth quarter this time versus the Dallas Mavericks.
Lakers vs Trail Blazers
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off the worst loss in franchise history. They were routed 122-73 by the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, and the 49-point margin of defeat marked their second 40-point loss during a stretch in which they have suffered six defeats in the last seven games.
Dwyane Wade returns to Miami
Dwyane Wade won three NBA titles in 13 seasons with the Miami Heat before departing for Chicago as a free agent last summer. Wade makes his first visit to South Beach as a visiting player when the Bulls battle Miami on Thursday (Enter Contest).
Animosity with Heat president Pat Riley lingers from the breakdown in offseason negotiations that led him to go play for his hometown of Chicago. Wade scored 25 points on Wednesday but the Bulls lost 115-107 to the host Atlanta Hawks for their fourth loss in five games. Miami also has dropped four of its last five games after suffering a 97-85 road loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
ABOUT THE BULLS (4-4)
Dwyane Wade, a 12-time All-Star, had his second-highest scoring output of the season while making 10-of-17 shots and contributing a season-best five steals in the loss to the Hawks. The 34-year-old is averaging 17.9 points, a distant second on the Bulls behind fellow All-Star guard Jimmy Butler (23.3), who is Chicago’s primary scoring option. Butler scored a season-high 39 points against Atlanta. It was his highest total since a career-best 53-point effort against Philadelphia last January. He also contributed with seven assists and matched his career high of six steals in Wednesday’s game. Point guard Rajon Rondo is averaging just 6.8 assists and has reached double digits only once.
ABOUT THE HEAT (2-4)
Miami is still adapting to not having Wade and the current top scoring options are point guard Goran Dragic (18 points per game) and center Hassan Whiteside (17.5 points, team-best 13.8 rebounds). Backup forward James Johnson scored a season-best 18 points against Oklahoma City and is averaging 14.5 points over the past two games. The Heat won all four of last season’s meetings, including victories by 22 and 18 points.
NBA Daily Fantasy Draft Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic
Dominate your competition with our NBA Daily Fantasy Draft, create the winning lineup at Fanpicks.com. The Miami Heat (46-32) make their way to Orlando for the first of two back-to-back match-ups against the Magic (33-45).
The Heat delivered another blow to the Chicago Bulls’ playoffs hopes on Thursday night and, in doing so, bolstered their own in a 106-98 home win. All five starters for the club posted double digits in the victory, with Dwayne Wade leading the group with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, shooting 9 of 18 from the paint. Goran Dragic scored a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards, going 7 of 16 from the paint. Dragic is putting up an average of 13.9 points and 5.9 dimes for the team this year, suiting up for 67 games and leading the club in assists. Hassan Whiteside came off the reserves for his 39th double-double of the season on the strength of a 16-point, 12-rebound outing as Miami stand in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, just a half game behind the third place Hawks.
The Magic have lost two of their last three games, with their latest defeat coming on Wednesday night to the visiting Detroit Pistons, 108-104. Evan Fournier topped the squad in scoring with 19 points, hitting all five of his shot attempts from the foul line but had difficulty from beyond the arc, where he finished 0 for 5. Elfrid Payton contributed with 17 points and 5 assists, forcing 3 turnovers and shooting 8 of 13 from the court, while Nikola Vucevic came out from the bench to collect the double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, going 7 of 14 from field goal range. Vucevic, who remains Orlando’s top offensive contributor despite being absent for the majority of the month of March with a groin injury, is averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds for the team through 62 games played, edging the unit in blocks with 1.1 per outing. Andrew Nicholson had 14 points, 5 rebounds and a pair of threes as the Magic remain in 11th place in the East, with their follow-up game coming versus Miami on the road on Sunday.

Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers
Fantasy Basketball Picks
The red hot Miami heat will travel South West to visit the Portland Trail Blazers still battling for their playoffs spot at the Moda Center. FanPicks is proud to bring you this NBA Fantasy Basketball picks and preview. Come play in our NBA Magic Million contest where you can win up to a $1 million this week at FanPicks.
Portland Trail Blazers are on a 3 game winning streak and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Portland sits in the 6th spot in the Western Conference, only 1 game behind the reeling Memphis Grizzlies. It is quite an accomplishment, as they weren’t even expected to get to 30 wins this season. Their home form has been huge for them this season as they have a 25-12 record in their home building on the year. There’s no issues yet on the injuries department, but look for the Blazers to be a small favorite in this matchup.
The Heat come into this game having dropped only 2 of their last 7 games and sit currently in a three-way tie for their division crown. The good news for them is that own the tiebreaker over the Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets, and on top of that clearly have the easiest schedule. In their most recent win, Miami beat the Sacramento Kings despite playing without their star Dwyane Wade. They preferred to rest him so that he would be fresh here in a much tougher matchup.
Fantasy Basketball Daily Picks Nets vs Heat
Dominate your competitions with our NBA Fantasy Basketball Daily Picks Nets vs Heat create the winning lineup at Fanpicks.com. The Brooklyn Nets (21-51) play the host Miami Heat (42-30) at American Airlines Arena.
It’s difficult to get a read on this Brooklyn team, as they come into this game with a reasonable two-game winning streak. What’s even more surprising about those victories is who they came against, as they were versus two Eastern Conference playoff teams. That’s what can be baffling about the Nets, as they have the skill to play with anyone, but always fail to live up to their potential. The biggest problem with this team is the offense, as they hold the 27th spot in league scoring.
The Heat come into this match-up winning three of their last four, with the one defeat coming in expected circumstances. Miami played the powerful Spurs on the road in that one loss. San Antonio hasn’t suffered a loss in their home building all season. The key with the Heat is their defensive acumen, as they rank fourth in points given. Miami will have no issue slowing down this lackluster Brooklyn offense. That should be the difference maker in this game. Watch for Miami to be a double-digit favorite in this game.
DFS NBA Lineup
Here we have a special edition of a DFS NBA Lineup. An 8 pm edition, meaning just two games to choose your players from. The Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks, and at 8:30 pm the Detroit Pistons at Dallas Mavericks.
I only have two players from the Pistons-Mavs game, and I should probably have more but this two game format doesn’t leave many options in terms of mixing and matching salaries.
There were certain players I targeted and others that just made it because they were the best options for the available cap space.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was my first target. The Bucks star has been on an absolute tear of late, piling up stats in every category. He can put up between 30 and 65 fantasy points on any given night, so even at $9600 it’s worth taking the big man. He makes it fun to follow your daily fantasy roster.
Goran Dragic was a target as well, at $6800 you could do worse. I ended up stacking him and Dwyane Wade together as Khris Middleton would’ve given me just too many Bucks.
Luol Deng was a must have at that price. He is a great value pick again, capable of putting up 35+ fantasy points.
David Lee and Caldwell-Pope are my only two participants from the other game tonight. Dirk Nowitzki is a solid option, but I don’t think a monstrous game is in store for the veteran. Lee is a tremendous value at just $5000, I would have considered him even with a full slate of games to select from.
Caldwell-Pope is capable of having the type of games that win you DFS contests, but you just never know with him. Sometimes he puts up 11 fp, sometimes 25. This is my make or break pick.
Hassan Whiteside is the reward for taking some discounts. The Heat center should log his normal 30+ minutes (illness) and 30+ fantasy points for owners.
Fantasy Basketball Miami Heat vs New York Knicks preview
NBA Basketball Fantasy Basketball Preview
Things will heat up tonight in the Big Apple as the New York Knicks will be hosting the Miami Heat Sunday evening. Come play our NBA Fantasy Basketball contest and YOU could win BIG at FanPicks.
New York is on a terrible slump lately, having struggled both offensively and defensively. For some reason, they’ve won only 3 games out of the last 14. Even though they’ve won back to back games, the opponents were very weak. The Knicks will have a handful this game against Miami’s defense unit and their new offensive addition.
Miami has been playing very well lately despite dropping their last 2 games against the Celtics and the Warriors. Unfortunately for them, their leading scorer, Chris Bosh is under serious pressure from team doctors to sit down for the rest of the season. Dwayne Wade and the offensve has been getting unexpected great help from Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic. Whiteside played 4 straight games with an average of 19.5 pts and 17.3 rebounds while Dragic stepped up as well averaging 19.8 pts, 7 assists and 5.4 boards the last games. The real addition to their squad and danger for the Eastern Conference is the arrival of 7 time all star Joe Johnson. It will in interesting and essential addition for them
Miami Heat vs Toronto Raptors – 01/22/16 Preview
The Miami Heat (23-20) will face the Toronto Raptors (27-15) on Friday night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The Raptors are the odd favorites to win (line: -9.5). Here is the projected lineup:
Miami, having 6 of their last 7 games are falling out of their contention of top seed in the Eastern Conference. Their latest defeat came at the hands of the Washington Wizards 106-87, Chris Bosh recording 18 pts, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal to lead the way. With more than half of their team on injury report, the Heat head into Toronto hurting. Ruled out already are Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic. The entire starting lineup excluding Bosh is questionable for Friday night’s contest and if not regroup quickly could find themselves out of playoffs. The Heat are 8-11 on the road this season.
In contrary with the Heat, the Raptors are playing very well having won six in a row. They just defeated the Celtics 115-109 with a splendid performance from DeMar DeRozan with 34 pts, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Jonas Valanciunas pitched in with his 8th double-double including 19 pts, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. A win could make the Raptors see their longest winning streak since 2002. So far, the Raps have taken 3 of the last 4 matchups against the Heat.

The Heat come into this matchup winning four of their last five and winning with some stellar defense. They now rank in the top-three in numerous defensive statistics and they should have no problem slowing down this terrible Jazz offense. The one concern is that this is the second half of a back-to-back and many of these Miami veterans struggle in those circumstances. In that game, they ended up beating the Phoenix Suns with some big plays down the stretch. That was a revenge game for Goran Dragic and he had one of his best games of the season, tallying 22 points and seven assists. The paces of the Jazz and Heat should make this one of the slowest games of the season thus far.
The Jazz have lost three-straight and they just can’t seem to stay healthy. They have been without Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert and Alec Burks for some time now and right when Gobert returned, another top-scorer went down. Rodney Hood went down with an ankle injury in their most recent game and he’s been one of their best scorers as of late. The good news is that Gobert came off the bench in that same game against the Houston Rockets after missing over a month of action. With Favors due back soon as well, things may be finally turning around for this injury riddled team. Even with all the injuries, the team has still been hovering around .500 and playing some great defense. Once Gobert and Favors are back, this team will go back to one of the three-best defensive teams in the NBA. Look for this to be a close and low-scoring game, as the Heat come in as ashort favorite with a projected minuscule total of 185.

The Indiana Pacers (19-14) will face the Miami Heat (20-13) in the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Monday. Dominate your competitions with our free to use RotoPicker tool, create the winning fantasy NBA contest lineups for Fanpicks.com
The Indiana Pacers could use a victory after splitting their last 10 games. The Indiana Pacers are averaging 102.5 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 98.6 points on 44.3 percent shooting. Paul George is averaging 24.5 points and 7.7 rebounds while C.J. Miles is averaging 14.5 points and 1.1 assists. Monta Ellis is dishing 4.5 assists and George Hill is grabbing four rebounds. The Indiana Pacers are shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the free throw line. The Pacers are allowing 33 percent shooting from deep and are forcing 16.1 turnovers per game. The Indiana Pacers have lost six of their last seven road games.
The Miami Heat look for another victory after winning six of their last 10 games. The Miami Heat are averaging 97.2 points on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 95.1 points on 42.9 percent shooting. Dwayne Wade is averaging 18.6 points and 4.6 assists while Chris Bosh is averaging 18.4 points and 8.1 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside is grabbing 11.2 rebounds and Goran Dragic is dishing 5.3 assists. The Miami Heat are shooting 33.5 percent from beyond the arc and 72.9 percent from the free throw line. The Heat are allowing 33 percent shooting from deep and are forcing 12.5 turnovers per game. The Miami Heat have won six of their last 10 home games.
The Pacers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Southeast. The Heat are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 6-20 ATS in their last 26 vs. NBA Central. The Pacers are 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
The Pacers have been flat out brutal on the road as of late. Meanwhile, the Heat are slowly figuring things out on the offensive end and seem to be clicking more than the beginning of the season.

PG: George Hill
SG: Monta Ellis
SF: Paul George
PF: Lavoy Allen

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks 12-22-15
Mike Conley star point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies should have an outstanding game against the Philadelphia 76ers, who have dreadful overall this season. The 76ers performance against point guards has been terrible and continues to trend downward. Both Kendall Marshall ad TJ McConell have gotten the call to split time at the point guard spot which doesn’t fare well for their defensive chances. Conley’s game as of late has been amazing. He scored 20 points during each of his last 2 games… we expect Conley to continue his strong play against the luckless Sixers
Still filling in for Mudiay… Jameer Nelson is seeing a lot of court time. The Lakers game against point guards continues to be poor which explains why they are currently ranked the worst in the league. We expect, Nelson who had a solid 15 point performance in 37 minutes against New Orleans, could take advantage against the Lakers. Nelson has scored in double figures in each of the last 5 games. We believe Louis Williams will more than likely see the most action against Nelson.
We look to 4th ranked point guard in the league, Reggie Jackson, to give Dragic a tough matchup. Currently, Dragic is averaging 11.3 points just below his career average of 12.6 points with the drop off in 3-pointers being really apparent. Dragic is a career .357 3-point shooter but this year is only shooting .277 from behind the arc. Nonetheless we think he should be coming out of his slump
At the moment Will Barton is showing GAME! Having just come off one of the best games his career game, during which, Barton scored 32 points with seven 3-pointers. Currently, Barton averages 15.3 points a game and is 6th in the league among small forwards in efficiency. He would also be sixth among shooting guards in the same category. Barton goes into a favorable matchup against the Lakers. The Lakers are currently the worst in the league in terms of giving up fantasy points to shooting guards. Look for Jordan Clarkson or Kobe Bryant to guard Barton, which in either case would favor the Nuggets’ sixth man.
While the Mavericks’ Wesley Matthews has the potential for game… he has been struggling, scoring only 13 points against Phoenix, and a combined 6 points against Indiana and Memphis while playing only 29 minutes per game on average. Matthews will be facing Toronto one of the league’s top defender against shooting guards.
Ever since the Raptors realized that Terrence Ross wasn’t cutting it in Carroll’s place; Johnson was appointed to start the last two games. Johnson has posted double figures in his last two games, scoring 14 points each against Sacramento and Minnesota. However, we believe that Dallas will test him, as the Mavericks have shown that they are exceptionally good at keeping fantasy scores lower for small forwards. He will probably be shadowed by Chandler Parsons, and while Johnson is not an explosive player he is more than capable to put up numbers
Barnes continues to start for the Grizz as they go small in an effort to bring Z-Bo off the bench and mismatch their rotations. Barnes has only averaged 8.9 points per contest but could see greener pastures against the Sixers who can’t seem to stop anyone. No team is worse than the Sixers at defending small forwards when using fantasy points as a metric. The Sixers’ Robert Covington could give Barnes problems with his length. Covington is 6’9” while Barnes is 6’6”.
The Italian sniper, Danilo Gallinari will face the Lakers which could very well result in a high scoring game for him. Gallinari is 7th in efficiency among small forwards and is averaging a little over 17 points a game. One interesting note about Gallinari is that if his shot isn’t falling, he is being aggressive and getting to the free throw line. He scored 11 of his 18 points from the stripe in his last game. Gallinari’s 18 points came in just 23 minutes, before he was injured with an ankle sprain. The Lakers are the 3rd worst team in the league in defending fantasy points among small forwards. Gallinari will likely see Kobe Bryant most of the night, if he plays.
Faried is a popular play tonight against a Laker team allowing worse than league average production against opposing power forwards this season.
Rarely does a guy come along who has absolutely no role on the offensive end and is yet still very much a play in DFS. My boy Bismack fits the bill. He’s crazy athletic, looks perfectly at home on the court and exists as the fifth option on offense with the first unit. And calling him the fifth option is really doing him a solid because he’s probably more like the 10th option as you should count all the other guys twice before ever getting to him. But he’s rebounding like a madman and playing crazy minutes. This short slate doesn’t have me wanting to get big money on center.
He should dominate Philly and Jahlil tonight. The only issue is whether he sees anything close to the right amount of minutes. There’s always a good chance Philly gets run out of the gym and that’s the end of the Grizz starter’s minutes. Gasol has big offensive upside, but it isn’t consistent. The thought of that plus his minutes going awry is troubling.
NBA Fantasy Basketball Draft News 10-18-2015
Miami Heat is Hoping That Their Experience Can Lead the Team Back to the Playoffs
The Miami Heat concluded play last season with a record of 37-45 and missed the playoffs. They were a game behind the eighth place finisher in the Eastern Conference the Brooklyn Nets. It was their first year of play after LeBron James decided to return to Cleveland. Heading into last season many had pegged the Miami Heat with enough talent to make the playoffs. A team with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade certainly should have been enough to carry the team into a playoff berth in a weak Eastern conference. But the Heat was struck with major concern to the health of their impact big man Chris Bosh. He was forced to miss the final 38 regular season games as he was struck with blood clots in his lungs that required extensive medical care. It was enough to force him to miss the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign. The good news is that Bosh is healthy and expected to be ready at 100% for the start of the regular season.
Miami Heat PG:
The 29 year old point guard was acquired from Phoenix last year and played in 52 games for the Heat. In 33 minutes a contest he shot .50% from the field and averaged 16 points with four assists. Expect those assists totals to go up now that Chris Bosh will be playing side by side with him for a full season. It was just two seasons ago where Dragic averaged 20 points and six assists per game in his time with the Phoenix Suns.
Miami Heat SG:
Wade is a tough choice on NBA one day fantasy league rosters because his name will always appear on injury reports questioning his status for upcoming games. He is 33 years old and has played 12 years in the league. Last year he averaged nearly 32 minutes a game and shot 47% from the floor with 21.5 points per game tally. His three point shooting had digressed which is a sign his aging and what his lack of health has done to his body. You have to respect his points per game average but he contributed with 3 ½ boards and nearly five assists per game. Just be careful on back to back nights with Wade as the Heat coaching staff may look to reduce his minutes in those spots.
Miami Heat PF:
This is Chris Bosh’ team now and has experience as the floor leader dating back to his days with the Toronto Raptors. Before his illness he contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds per game average in his 44 games a season ago. He shot 46% from the floor and space opened up for Bosh in the paint now that LeBron is gone.
Miami Heat SF:
A 30 year old with 11 years of experience in the league Deng is coming off his first season in Miami by hitting on 47% of shots and averaging 14 points and five rebounds per game. Deng shooting percentage was his best in seven seasons. At 35% from the three point line it was still over Deng’s career mark. The benefit of having Deng on the court with Bosh is that the shooting forward can hit shots from the outside which allows Bosh more room to operate down low.
Miami Heat C:
Whiteside is in his third year and was one of the NBA’s biggest surprises last season. He was an NBA fantasy darling who came rather cheaply in one day leagues and produced big numbers. Last year was his first with the Heat and Whiteside averaged nearly 12 points and 11 rebounds per game with 2 ½ blocked shots.
