Fantasy NBA Basketball Playoffs Game 7 Preview

Well this is it. The ultimate and last game of the 2015-2016 in the best possible win or go home scenario any NBA fans could imagine. This Fantasy NBA Basketball Playoffs Game 7 Preview is brought you by FanPicks where you can participate in the only available Fantasy Cross Sports contests. Will the Cavs go for a 3rd win in a row in the tough Oracle arena this Sunday or it
The suspense and intensity nearing this matchup couldn’t get any higher. Will the Golden State Warriors find a way to end the Cavaliers momentum and scare of being the first team in NBA Finals history to bust a 3-1 advantage? Or will the Cavaliers be able to make an historic comeback and shut down many critics by winning its first ever title?

The pressure is immense for both teams but a defeat, despite having an exceptional record breaking season for the Golden State Warriors will be a dagger in their heart.

On another note, this is the closest Cleveland fans have come to a championship in 52 years. The city championship drought in all sports can come to an end of the Cavaliers keep the same momentum they’ve had the past 2 games.

The Warriors however have been on the brink of winning a back to back championship for 2 games in a row and the pressure in not becoming the team who blew a 3-1 lead in NBA Finals after exceeding expectations all year long.

This will be none other than a classic matchup between the 2 NBA super stardoms, Lebron James and Stephen Curry. The past 2 games have been very different from the previous 3, with shots not falling for the defending champs at the same rate as the regular season and most of the postseason.

All Warriors have expressed the extreme disappointment they’d feel if they were unable to as champs, so look for them to come out focus and flying today.

Despite Curry putting 30 pts in Game 6, James poured in 41 pts for the 2nd straight contest. This ecstatic performance made Lebron joined the elite group of Jerry West, Michael Jordan, Rick Barry and Shaquille O’Neal as the only players ever to score 40 more points in consecutive games.

However, for the Cavs, the real threat comes not only from the Splash Brothers Curry and Thompson, but dominance from Draymond Green and the bench at times makes it an heavier task to overcome.

The Warriors definitely know all about overcoming a 3-1 deficit after defeating miraculously the Thunder in the Western Finals in 7 games. The composure and output from everyone on the team is critical at this point.
The bench has to perform the same way they did all throughout the season as well as early playoff games to stop the Cavaliers at this rate. With Draymond Green missing game 5 and Andrew Bogut out on a season adversity, Steve Kerr’s squad will have to play like champions to retain their crown and put an end to the Cavaliers’ tenacy and hunger for a win.

Look for this game to be a tight game but with the Warriors taking advantage of their depth and home court advantage to finish off a spectacular year.

Fantasy Football Draft

AFC West

We are almost there, the day before the NFL draft. Things have been crazy with predictions on whom will be picked during the draft. But one thing is for sure, and that’s the fact that both the city of San Diego and Oakland will live to see another draft pick coming to play in their home stadiums. The AFC West Chargers had an unsuccessful 2015 season and will select early in this draft (3rd pick), unlike their divisional rivals and Superbowl champion Denver Broncos. The Manning-less team will be the last team to choose in the first-round, due to their post-season conquest. FanPicks gives you the chance to win $100,000 with their 2016 NFL Fantasy Football Draft Frenzy contest. Click on the link and follow the instruction to be part of the biggest NFL event of the summer.

Denver Broncos

Things doesn’t look as smooth with no Peyton Manning, and even Brock Osweiler in the Broncos lineup. They have yet to fill a starter for next season in that spot. Well, there no place like any to start looking than at the draft. Denver could look to add-in some help at guard and tackle within the initial four rounds. The losses of DT Malik Jackson and LB Danny Trevathan should be something to look at as well.

Top 2 round picks: 31st and 63rd selections.

Kansas City Chiefs

The re-signing of Tamba Hali allows the Chiefs to maintain a solid asset at linebacker position. But the future still needs to be addressed and a perfect fit could come knocking on Hali’s door. Another high-end defensive linesman could be useful K.C. The loss of Chase Daniels as the backup QB will need to be taking care of.

Top 2 round picks: 28th and 59th selections.

Oakland Raiders

Adding Kelechi Osemele to their ranks will certainly fortify the interior Raiders O-line. Yet, they will still need to improve at the tackle spot. Stabilizing the back-end with another tailback shouldn’t be hard to find in this draft. Okland will need to replace CB Sean Smith and S Charles Woodson. Bruce Irvin will add even more juice to the Raiders’ pass rush, but a little help at middle linebacker could be looked at in the middle-rounds.

Top 2 round picks: 14th and 44th selections.

San Diego Chargers

Philip Rivers can count on his fingers how many receivers he threw to over the last few year. One of his main target is NFL 13-years veteran Antonio Gates. In fact, they hold the NFL record for most TD’s between a quarterback to tight end. Unfortunately for them, this union has run his course and it could be time to find Gate’s replacement. The Chargers added safety Dwight Lowery to replace the departed Eric Weddle. Is that enough though? For the rest, San Diego will need to upgrade their offensive and defensive line for this season.

Top 2 round picks: 3rd and 35th selections.

Fantasy Football NFL Draft

With the upcoming NFL Draft, it’s this time of the year where we take a look at the needs for every team this off-season to improve in the next few year. FanPick will be providing a special mock draft contest on April 28th 2016.  Let’s take a look at what requirements need to be addressed for the AFC East division teams in the fantasy football NFL Draft.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills were having issues with their offense this time last year. The upgraded offense is now the best part of the the team, while  their powerful defense took a dive this past season. Ooooh things have changed in Buffalo! Coach Rex Ryan needs to fix his defensive squad front seven. With Mario Williams gone, a defensive end is not a bad option. The Bills were also unable to re-sign Nigel Bradham. Is spot as linebacker will need to be fixed during the draft as well.

Top 2 round picks: 19th and 49th selections.

Miami Dolphins

Miami as a clear idea of his needs for the draft. First, they have to replace the hole left by running back Lamar Miller during the off-season. They also have two openings at corneback, one as a starter and the other one to play nickel. Another option would be at the guard position, but it should fall behind the previous two positions.

Top 2 round picks: 13th and 42nd selections.

New England Patriots

The Patriots have a short-term answer at the running back spot, which mean a young talent to refresh it is not out of the question. Coach Bill Belichick can never have enough cornerbacks on his squad. With 2014 first-round pick Dominique Easley released, a penetrating 3-technique could help on the inside of the defensive line. New England will unfortunately forfeit his first-round pick due to the deflate-gate debacle.

Top 2 round picks: 60th and 61st selections.

New York Jets

The Jets are likely to draft at least two starters for next year. An edge rusher who can develop into an every-down, 3-4 outside linebacker would be a possibility. The right side of the O-Line would need help as well, with right tackle Breno Giacomini and right guard Brian Winter not doing the job. They could also pursue a quarterback, especially if Ryan Fitzpatrick stay unsigned until then.

Top 2 round picks: 20th and 51st selections.

Phoenix Suns  vs. Boston Celtics

Author : Aldo Panessidi

The Phoenix Suns (13-27) will be hosted by the Boston Celtics (20-19) on Friday evening. Fanpicks.com is proud to announce its RotoPicker free to use tool, which allows you to create winning line ups and dominate your fantasy basketball competition.  Play the most exciting contest, including the newest $25K Grand Action and Point Spread contests only at Fanpicks.com the premiere daily fantasy basketball

Starting LineupThe Suns are in the midst of a miserable season and head into the weekend on a 1-12 run that has them floundering in fourth place in the Pacific Division, ahead of only the Los Angeles Lakers. The team traveled to Indiana on Tuesday night and were summarily pounded by the Pacers, 116-97. Having now won only four games on the road in their 2015-16 campaign, Phoenix were led by Devin Booker and Mirza Teletovic, who each put up 19 points. Markieff Morris came off the bench to come a hair shy of a double-double with 16 points and 9 boards, yet failed to connect on all four of his long range attempts. Things may only get worse for the club, as they have lost eight straight games away from home and will cap off January with a four-game road jaunt that includes a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics were able to shake off a four-game string of losses to best the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden on Wednesday, 103-94, to improve to .500 at home. Isaiah Thomas once again led Boston in scoring with 28 points, making 9 of 18 from the floor and 4 of 6 from deep. Thomas is averaging a gaudy 32.3 points in his last three outings and is by far the most potent offensive threat the team possesses. Jae Crowder went 11-for-15 to finish with 25 points and Amir Johnson put up 14 points and hauled in 18 rebounds to see the Celtics try and dig out from a 1-5 start to the year. Boston has leapfrogged the New York Knicks to once again sit at second place in the Atlantic Division, 4.5 games behind the Toronto Raptors, who they will meet next Wednesday north of the border.

Belk Bowl

Mississippi State vs. North Carolina State

The Belk Bowl will feature another exciting game between Mississippi State and North Carolina State.  Fanpicks.com the premiere daily fantasy sports site is proud to provide you with the following bowl preview in which we predict will be taken by Mississippi State in a close 30 – 27 final score.  Play the best fantasy college football contests only at Fanpicks.com

A pair of potent offenses and dual-threat quarterbacks square off when Mississippi State takes on North Carolina State in the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. Both teams average more than 400 total yards and 33 points per game, and their talented quarterbacks are the catalysts. Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott has passed for 3,413 yards with 25 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for 541 yards and 10 more scores; N.C. State’s Jacoby Brissett has rolled up 2,448 passing yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions while adding 303 yards and five TDs on the ground.

N.C. State should enjoy a de facto home-field advantage. The Wolfpack are playing a short distance from home and have 15 players from the Charlotte area, including TE/FB Jaylen Samuels (315 rushing yards, 7 TDs; 64 receptions, 599 yards, 7 TDs). It will be the third time the Wolfpack have played in the bowl, where they defeated Louisville 31-24 in 2011 and beat South Florida 14-0 in the 2005 game, then known as the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Both coaches have enjoyed success in bowl games. Dan Mullen has Mississippi State in its sixth bowl in seven years and has posted a 3-2 record, though the Bulldogs have lost two of their last three bowls – including a 49-34 loss to Georgia Tech in last year’s Orange Bowl. N.C. State’s Dave Doeren is 2-0 in bowl games, including a 34-27 win over UCF in last year’s St. Petersburg Bowl – his first postseason trip with the Wolfpack.

NORTH CAROLINA STATE Season Overview (7-5, 3-5 ACC): The Wolfpack rolled through a weak non-conference schedule and took care of the bottom tier of the ACC, but they lack a signature win. Their impressive offensive totals are skewed somewhat by rolling up big numbers against weak competition, but they did put up 514 total yards against North Carolina and 389 versus top-ranked Clemson and are at their best when the ground game led by Matt Dayes (865 yards, 12 TDs) is working. The defense also was impressive against the weaker teams on the schedule but was exposed by Clemson (623 total yards), Florida State (479) and North Carolina (553).

MISSISSIPPI STATE Season Overview (8-4, 4-4 SEC): While Prescott is the engine, the Bulldogs are far from a one-man team, as Fred Ross (81 catches, 933 yards, 4 TDs) and De’Runnya Wilson (55 catches, 822 yards, 9 TDs) lead a talented receiving corps. Turnovers were a major problem late in the season, though, as Mississippi State had nine giveaways over its final four games, including at least two in each contest. The defense had its share of struggles against top competition, especially against the run, as five opponents rolled up more than 200 rushing yards against the Bulldogs with another finishing just six yards shy of that mark.

Fanpicks.com College Football Bowl Game Preview

Memphis vs. Auburn

As we continue our College Football Bowl games roundup; Fanpicks.com is proud to preview the Birmingham Bowl featuring Memphis and Auburn.  We predict a rather one sided game in favour of Memphis by a score of 42 – 28.  Play the best fantasy college football contests at Fanpicks.com; the premiere and most exciting destination for daily fantasy sports.

Memphis will head into bowl season without the head coach that guided them into the College Football Playoff Rankings before a late-season swoon. Justin Fuente took the vacant head coaching job at Virginia Tech, and the Tigers brought in former Arizona State offensive coordinator Mike Norvell on a five-year contract to be the new coach, but interim coach Darrell Dickey will guide Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl in Birmingham, Ala., against Auburn on Dec. 30. Dickey is expected to remain with the program as part of Norvell’s staff moving forward.

Auburn had big expectations heading into the season but ended up falling off the pace as Jeremy Johnson struggled early at quarterback and eventually lost the job before regaining it down the stretch. The junior threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more in a 56-34 win over Idaho on Nov. 21 that gained the team bowl eligibility but struggled again in a loss to Alabama the next week. Johnson threw only one of his seven interceptions on the season in the final four games.

Memphis will have the best quarterback on the field in senior Paxton Lynch, who might be the top quarterback taken in this spring’s NFL draft. Lynch threw for 28 touchdowns and three interceptions, with seven of those TDs coming on nine completions in a 63-0 victory over SMU in the regular-season finale. Lynch guided an offense that averaged 510.4 yards and 42.7 points.

MEMPHIS Season Overview (9-3): While Lynch is auditioning for pro scouts, most of the rest of the roster will attempt to impress Norvell and the new coaching staff. Norvell is expected to keep a similar up-tempo pace after guiding an Arizona State offense that averaged 39.3 points. The Tigers made big strides as a program under Fuente and ranked 13 in the first CFP rankings after beginning the season 8-0, but consecutive losses to Navy, Houston and Temple buried any hope the team had of a New Year’s Six bowl.

AUBURN Season Overview (6-6): Auburn was supposed to have an offense to rival the top teams in the SEC but never got things going under Johnson or freshman Sean White, who is recovering from a knee injury and could be back for the bowl game. The extra month of bowl practice gives coach Gus Malzahn a chance to work with a defense that lost coordinator Will Muschamp and secondary coach Travaris Robinson to the annual carousel. “Our goal in these first three practices is just get better with what we do,” Malzahn told reporters in mid-December. “That’s a big advantage with these bowl practices for that development of your guys as far as fundamentals … development of your young guys and also evaluate your young guys, because a lot of these guys have been on the scout team all year.”

Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl

Colorado State vs. Nevada

By: Aldo Panessidi

Fanpicks.com is proud to provide our unique insight on the College Football Bowl game previews.  Play the best fantasy college football contests only at Fanpicks.com your destination for daily fantasy sports excitement.

We preview the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl which features the Colorado State against Nevada with our prediction hedging on Colorado State to win 37 to 26

For the first time since the Big Eight’s Nebraska and Oklahoma met in the 1979 Orange Bowl, two opponents from the same conference will square off in a non-playoff bowl game when Nevada and Colorado State of the Mountain West meet Dec. 29 in the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl in Tucson. With only 77 bowl-eligible teams to fill 80 slots and several conferences unable to fill their affiliations, the selection process became a scramble and, when the dust settled, the West-Division Wolf Pack and Mountain-Division Rams wound up pitted against each other in the first-year bowl. The teams did not meet in the regular season due to the conference’s unbalanced-schedule rotation, but Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson quickly issued a statement following the bowl-pairings announcement Dec. 6, saying: “It is a travesty the Mountain West has been forced into this situation. Clearly, the system is broken. … There is consensus change needed, and this year’s outcome must not be repeated.”

Nevada struggled offensively this season, ranking 87th in the FBS in scoring (26.1 points per game) and 83rd in total offense (377.7 yards), and will have an interim play-caller in Tucson with offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich leaving to accept the head-coaching position at Hawaii. Wide receivers coach Jim Hofher, a former head coach at Cornell and Buffalo, will handle the duties and also will switch from coaching the receivers to quarterbacks. And with the Wolf Pack playing in a post-Christmas bowl game, coach Brian Polian has started his search for the team’s next offensive coordinator to step in for Rolovich, who had served in that capacity the last four seasons.

Mike Bobo already has had the most successful initial coaching season in Colorado State history, and the Rams are building on that with the additional practices and the extra game itself. In particular, quarterback Nick Stevens has shown strides under Bobo, the offensive coordinator at Georgia the previous eight seasons, as he set the program’s sophomore record with 2,369 passing yards. Stevens also has thrown a Mountain West-leading 21 touchdown passes – the fifth-highest single-season total in Colroado State history.

NEVADA  Season Overview (6-6, 4-4 Mountain West): The Wolf Pack are making their 10th bowl appearance in the last 11 seasons, but it was a struggle as they got off to 1-2 start and then closed the season with two straight losses. With 205.6 rushing yards per game out of the pistol attack, Nevada ranks 28th nationally and joins Southern Miss as one of two FBS programs to boast a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in tailbacks James Butler (1,153) and Don Jackson (1,029). All-Mountain West defensive linemen Ian Seau and Lenny Jones and safety Dameon Baber lead the Wolf Pack defense, which ranked fifth in the conference against the rush (188.8 yards) and seventh versus the pass (206) while allowing 27.2 points per game.

COLORADO STATE Season Overview (7-5, 5-3): The Rams are making their third straight bowl appearance and have won 11 of their 13 meetings with Nevada, including a 31-24 victory in Reno a season ago. Colorado State is averaging 30.2 points and 417 yards per game, and closed the season on a four-game roll, thanks in large part to senior All-Mountain West receiver Rashard Higgins (66 receptions, 933 yards, eight TDs), who needs 115 receiving yards to become the program’s all-time leader. All-Conference middle linebacker Cory James leads the defense, which ranked seventh in the Mountain West against the rush (208.1 yards) and fourth versus the pass (186.2) while allowing 27.2 points per contest.

NBA Recent Hot Streaks

Daily Fantasy NBA tournaments are not about picking the all stars.   If Stephen Curry scores 40 points in one night, that is a huge basketball performance and a great addition to your lineup, but if he costs you $9000 in salary, you are better suited with two $4000 players who each earn 20 fantasy points.  Therefore, the biggest factor you should consider when drafting your players is Fantasy Value (That is Fantasy Points per Dollar spent) rather than Fantasy Points.

One good way to assess a players fantasy value is to look at how they have performed recently compared to their season averages.  Daily Fantasy Sites primarily use season averages to set each players salary level and take a while to adjust if a player has had some great recent performances.  This is where you can take advantage.

The chart below shows many key players season average Fantasy Points per Game, their Fantasy Points per Game over the past 2 games, and their Recent Rating- Which is Recent FPPG/Season FPPG.  A player with a Recent Rating of 1 is recently playing on par with how they have all season and does not offer much value for their salary level.  However, a player with a Recent Rating above 1 has been providing great fantasy value lately and it likely has not yet been reflected in their salary.

Fantasy basketball

Jamal Crawford leads the list on recent value almost doubling his season average over the past couple of days.  He is a good value addition to your lineup as he comes at a bargain and frees up salary cap to spend elsewhere.  Stephen Curry on the other hand, while having a fantastic season so far, his salary level is so high, that it is very improbable he will be able to exceed his fantasy value.  If you have the cash left over, by all means put in Stephen Curry, but more value can be attained elsewhere.

It will be AAC conference action from college football for Friday November 20th as the South Florida Bulls will play host to the Cincinnati Bearcats. DFS draft managers can tune to CBS Sports Network at 8PM Eastern Time to follow the results of their fantasy football roster picks.

Cincinnati won last year 34-17 at home to South Florida and has won three of their four past meetings. The Bearcats enter play with a record of 6-4 and are bowl eligible. They come off a high scoring win at home last week as they defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 49-38. Bearcats are the fourteenth highest scoring team from college football this season as they put up 38.7 points per game. They are the fourth in overall offense as Cincinnati gains 585 yards per game. The South Florida Bulls have been a program that has shown improvement in 2014. They have become bowl eligible with a record of 6-4. That came last week in a 44-23 home victory to Temple. The Bulls had success running with 326 rushing yards for 6.8 yards a carry against a good Owls team. It was a win where turnovers were not a factor as each team committed one for the game.
