Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Picks
Here is another list of daily fantasy basketball value picks (below) that you can target to make your daily fantasy team successful. As we had two earlier games on today, there are five remaining in prime time. Lebron James sat out the Cavaliers (early) game, and it came back to haunt them, but the Raptors are still resting Kyle Lowry tonight and the Magic sitting Evan Fournier.
DeMar DeRozan would be the obvious choice to take over the heavy lifting for Toronto but he had the flu and is questionable for the contest. Even if he does play he will of course be limited to some extent. Cory Joseph will replace Lowry in the starting lineup and should get a ton of minutes.
Evan Fournier isn’t suiting up (or down in reality) for Orlando’s game against Philly. Victor Oladipo should lead this train, while Mario Hezonja slides into the starting lineup.
Not done with the Magic just yet, Aaron Gordon has been lights out lately and is a nice deal at that price tag. He can put up fantasy stats worthy of a $9000 man.
Kristaps Porzingis at $6400 can be a tremendous value as well. He can easily post a double-double on any given night.
Fellow Knick Carmelo Anthony was a luxury since I saved so much on the replacements. You gotta use your money at some point.
…So I snagged up Damian Lillard as well…and still have $500 left.

NBA DFS Picks
Another edition of NBA DFS picks tonight. We have some nice value picks for you to play in your daily fantasy basketball contest and some sure-fire studs to carry the lower priced options. Let’s take a look at my team.
SG James Harden and C Brook Lopez are the two most costly players on this squad. The lowest costing player is Portland’s Maurice Harkless at $4400, hardly really cheap. This strategy cost us another superstar like Russell Westbrook but we’re trying out a safe floor philosophy on this occasion.
Jae Crowder and Evan Fournier round out the SF slots. Crowder is fair at $6200, but Fournier at $5500 is a heck of a value at the moment.
The hot-handed Jabari Parker is by far the most owned players on this team at 35.7%. This number suggests he must be a value pick in terms of production to salary ratio.
High-flying Aaron Gordon has been tearing up daily fantasy contests for the past few games. You can expect 30+ points from the All-Star dunker.
I almost went with Jared Sullinger instead, but decided on the steadier option.
Patrick Mills wasn’t a popular play tonight, but I feel he usually has a safe floor and provides some upside as well.

The Raptors conclude their five-game road trip on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday afternoon, UK time, after finishing 3-1 on the North American leg of the tour. The team made quick work of the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, 108-95, to improve their winning streak to three games and hold onto a solid grasp of first place in the Atlantic Division, where they are 4.5 games clear of the second place New York Knicks. Kyle Lowry lead Toronto with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory, shooting 10 of 17 from the field. DeMar DeRozan added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while Jonas Valanciunas added 17 points and 9 boards to move the team into second place overall in the East. The Raptors’ potent defense was on display again in their win over Philly, as they are allowing 96.7 points per contest, ranking fourth-best in the league.
The Magic, themselves with designs on a Playoff run this season, have struggled to kick off 2016, losing five of their last six outings. So far in January, the team has already matched their loss total for the entire month of December, when they went 10-5. Orlando’s latest defeat came on Saturday night at home to the Washington Wizards, 105-99, despite all five of their starters posting double digits. Nikola Vucevic scored 23 points and added 9 rebounds to serve as the top producer for the team, while Aaron Gordon posted a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 10 boards. Vucevic has been the top weapon for the team throughout the season, leading the upstart unit with 17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. The Magic will have the weekend to recoup before traveling to Atlanta on Monday to face the division-leading Atlanta Hawks.

Washington have lost five of their last six games, the latest defeat coming at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at Verizon Center, where the team is now 8-11. John Wall was the leading producer for the Wizards in the 97-88 loss, putting up 21 points put having an uncharacteristically quiet night in the assist category with only 4. Wall is averaging 9.8 assists for the team this season, good enough for second place in the league. Marcin Gortat put up a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but it was shooting accuracy that ultimately felled them again, as they shot 39.3% from the field. Bradley Beal (leg) still leads the team in scoring with an average of 19.8 points per game despite missing 14 games for Washington. The club expects his return to the starting lineup in a matter of days.
The Magic put a much-needed end to a four-game skid on Friday night in Brooklyn, topping the Nets 83-77 and hopefully out of an offensive funk after turning quite a few heads in the first third of the season. Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic both had 20 points apiece, Vucevic with a double-double on 10 rebounds and Oladipo with 9 boards himself. Oladipo also contributed nearly half of Orlando’s points from beyond the arc in the win with six three-pointers on eight attempts. The Magic currently sit at third place in the Southeast Division, 2.5 games behind the first place Miami Heat.

The slumping Magic were 9-6 in November and 10-5 in December, now find themselves win less in 2016 and on a four-game skid. The team had a forgettable home court performance on Wednesday night, falling 96-86 to the Indiana Pacers in an important Eastern Conference match-up. Victor Oladipo led in scoring with 20 points, going 4-for-7 from long range. Oladipo has served his team well since being promoted off the bench to starting point guard earlier in the week. Nikola Vucevic added 17 points, while Evan Fournier put up 13. Elfrid Payton (ankle) has missed two consecutive games for the team and is listed as questionable for Friday’s contest. Orlando’s current losing streak is its longest slide of their 2015-16 campaign.
The Nets were handed their eighth straight defeat at Barclays Center on Wednesday, losing 91-74 to the Toronto Raptors to fall to 6-12 at home. Brook Lopez led the team in scoring, as usual, with another double-double on 24 points and 13 boards. Bojan Bogdanovich had 12 points and Thaddeus Young contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds in a game that saw Brooklyn shoot only 39.7% from the field and connect on five three-point attempts. The 74-point effort was typical of the team’s insipid offense this season, where the rank third-worst in the league, putting up an average of 96.4 points per game. The team faces tough competition in the coming days on the road against Detroit and hosting San Antonio.

Losers of three of their last four games, the Pacers look to amend their struggles against another slipping Eastern Conference club in the Magic on Wednesday. This after falling in overtime at the Miami Heat on Monday night, 103-100. The team squandered an 18-point lead in the loss, one that saw Paul George lead Indiana in scoring with 32 points. George also made 5 of 8 shots from beyond the arc, accounting for more than half of the team’s eight triples in the game. Monta Ellis added 17 points as the Pacers are now 2.5 games behind the second-place Chicago Bulls in the Central Division. Indiana have bested Orlando in nine of their last ten meetings.
After a 10-5 December, the Magic find themselves winless in 2016, with an 0-3 record so far this month. All losses have come on the road, the most recent a Monday night blowout at the hands of the Detroit Pistons, 115-89. Victor Oladipo started for the team and led in scoring with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Nikola Vucevic went 8-for-15 from the paint for his 16 points, but it was the lack of contribution from their teammates that ultimately doomed Orlando. In 26 minutes played, Evan Fournier scored no points, going 0-for-6 from the field and 0-for-4 from long range. The Magic fare better at home, where they are 12-6, and host five of their next seven games.
