MLB Fantasy Draft Weekend Recap 5/25
Weather is something that affect MLB more than it does any other sport. Rain delays and cancellations are a constant concern in baseball and can make or break a Fantasy cash draft contest. The standard procedure in cash draft contests is to count a delayed game if that game is still played on the same day, or before all other games in the contest have ended. However, if that game has been postponed or cancelled completely, the players of those teams are given fantasy values of 0. Therefore, it is something you need to consider when selecting your lineup.
But it is not only a negative for fantasy draft managers, you can use it to your advantage. If a game is cancelled, and you have no players in that game, then your lineup is unaffected but your competitors can lose serious points. Therefore players in clear weather conditions bring more fantasy value than those in questionable conditions, all other things being equal.
This is a strategy I took on the Rockies/Giants game this past Saturday. They had a double-header scheduled and high chance of heavy rain all day. Their first game of the day was delayed from afternoon all the way until early evening. This considered, and the forecast of more rain, I thought the chances were doubtful the second game would be played and therefore avoided all Rockies/Giants players in the night session of Fantasy draft contests.
Even with the weather concerns however, all games were played (with the exception of Cardinals/Royals being ended at 6). Lets walk through all the positions and which players performed especially outstanding. Since baseball performance is very depended on hot streaks and slumps, these players will be promising picks moving forward into this next week.
Evan Gattis of the Houston Astros was the big performer at the catcher position on Sunday for any Mlb cash draft contest. He had three hits with a home run, a triple, and three RBI’s. This was a bigger than normal game for Gattis but he has been fairly consistent through the month of May racking up a total of 7 homers this month.
Prince Fielder had a couple of great performances this weekend. He managed three hits both days with a homer and three RBIs on Saturday and a double and two RBIs on Saturday. With his modest salary, he is a prime pick to bring value in one day cash drafts.
Fielder however, pales in comparison to Mike Napoli. He followed up a 2 homer day on Saturday with another homer on Sundays game. That makes three consecutive games with a home run for Napoli and with the accompanying RBI’s, he can bring huge Fantasy Value to your lineups.
Brian Dozier of the Minnesota Twins had a big game on Sunday going 2 for 5, both home runs. Along with those home runs can 4 RBIs for a nice contribution in your fantasy cash draft.
The top performer at this position for the weekend was Didi Gregorius with a homer on one of his two hits Saturday. He wasn’t able to match that performance for the Yankees loss on Sunday but he will be one to watch in fantasy draft tournaments moving forward.
Nolan Arenado had a solid performance on Sunday with a triple and a homer, racking up 4 RBIs. This is when players bring huge fantasy value, when they can combine good hits with synergistic team points from RBIs. A heavy hitter, on a high scoring team like the Rockies, is a gem in daily fantasy tournaments.
Three big hitters in the outfield of the weekend were Mark Canha, Justin Upton and Andrew Mccutchen. Canha and Upton each recorded a homer on Sunday while Mccutchen had a homer both days with a couple of RBIs along with it. Upton has been very consistent this year with a total of 12 home runs, evenly split between the months of April and May.
NBA Fantasy Draft Value Picks – Playoffs – 2014-2015
The leaders have emerged in the playoffs. Those teams with strong leadership like the Warriors and the Cavaliers are thriving while those with under-performing captains (Rockets) or lack of a discernable leader (Hawks) are feeling the pressure. However, what always seems to be the theme in Fantasy cash draft contests, is that actual game performance does not always align with Fantasy Value.
Lets look at Lebron James for instance. While he has been able to deliver consistent Fantasy Value in one day cash drafts, his salary has begun to reflect his outstanding performance in these playoffs. His salary even exceeds the MVP Stephen Curry’s salary in most Cash draft contests. Therefore, as a fantasy draft manager, you need him to score a triple double just to hit his value. However, this is a pretty safe bet as Lebron has been the most consistent star in these playoffs and with the continued absence of Irving and Love, he will need to continue to dominate. As far as the high priced players go, James would still be my pick for any NBA cash draft.
The other two top tier guys to look at are Curry and Harden. Curry is a great pick but where he seems to lack in compared to Lebron is in Rebounds. Lebron brings such great Fantasy Value since he can hit big numbers in rebounds, assists, and points. Curry gets assists, but is more limited to points and assists. He comes at a slightly cheaper price though, so on the right night, he be the value pick if he can exceed his price more than Lebron can.
Harden is the clear dog out of these three. While he does have big games where he can meet his numbers, he is too inconsistent of a draft pick. With a price on par with Curry and James, I would pass on Harden.
Now we can move down to mid-tier guys. This tier is dominated by Hawks players: Horford, Teague, and Millsap. Horford scored modestly this weekend after being ejected and only playing 19 minutes. Even in a full game, I am hesitant with Horford. He doesn’t get the rebounds you should expect from a center for his price but he supplements his value with points scored. If you catch him on a night where another Hawk’s player takes a larger portion of points, Horford’s fantasy value could suffer. Similar things can be seen with Teague and Millsap. In game-play it is a positive team attribute to have a deep lineups of players who can all contribute but in Fantasy draft contests, that only leads to water down the value of your draft picks.
Dwight Howard is still listed as questionable but after playing 33 minutes last game, I think he is a safe pick. When Howard is hot, he can greatly exceed his price. Although he is inconsistent due to injuries and foul trouble, I think he is the best value pick at center in any NBA cash draft.
Draymond Green, Tristan Thompson, and Trevor Ariza are also players to keep on the radar as solid draft picks. All three have been somewhat inconsistent in these playoffs but certainly have solid upside potential.
While great game players, Smith and Shumpert of the Cavaliers are poor fantasy draft picks as they are point dominant players. With Lebron taking the role of point man, they have little opportunity to reach the level of assists you usually see from a guard in their role. Remember, as a fantasy draft manager you need to view players from their fantasy value and keep out any bias about actual game performance: they may line up, but often they do not.
Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers – 5/26/15 MLB Fantasy Sports, Baseball Picks, Odds & Predictions
Fantasy mock draft managers can look to the bail out game on Monday May 26th as the LA Dodgers will host the Atlanta Braves in Game 2 of their series. Follow your rosters at 10:10PM Eastern Time on ESPN from Dodgers Stadium.
In the opener of this series on Monday it was the Dodgers posting the 6-3 home victory behind scoring five runs combined in the latter innings. The Braves could not hold onto a 2-1 lead after six innings. The Dodgers power was on display as the team hit three home runs all in their four run eighth inning to lead the club into victory.
The Dodgers are second in the Major Leagues in homers this year with 60 hit in their 44 games on the year. At the quarter point of the year LA sits in first place in the NL West leading the division by three games in the loss column over the second place San Francisco Giants. LA has had major injury issues this year as rotation players Yasiel Puig and Carl Crawford has missed significant time with injuries. The team has winning records with both sidelined. Starters Hyun Jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy are out for the year.
The loss moved the Braves to 23-33 and trails the first place Washington Nationals by 4 games in the loss column. The Atlanta pitching has been rated in the bottom third of baseball in the ERA and WHIP department. They are a middle of the road hitting club.
Atlanta Braves RF: Nick Markakis enters play with a .301 batting average with no homers and 12 RBIs. He has drawn 23 walks so his on base percentage is .390. Unfortunately his power numbers have been lacking. His five game hit streak was broken on Monday.
Atlanta Braves 2B: Jace Peterson hits .265 for the club with hits in seven of nine games. Not much power in his bat with one homer and 18 RBIs with four extra base hits. He has just two extra base hits in ten games.
Atlanta Braves SS: Andrelton Simmons has seen his average dip 21 points in his past ten games. No multi-hit games in his past ten games. He has three homers and 18 RBIs season to date.
Atlanta Braves P: Julio Teheran gets the start for the Braves on Tuesday. He puts up much better numbers in his home stadium. In nine starts this year Teheran is 4-1 with an ERA of 3.91 and WHIP of 1.44. The hurler has surrendered nine homers in his nine starts. The right hander has allowed one earned run in each of his past two starts.
LA Dodgers 1B: Adrian Gonzalez leads the club in batting at .344 on the year with 9 homers and 33 RBIs. After a hot April Gonzalez power numbers have come down with just one home run in the month of May. He had two hits in the win on Monday.
LA Dodgers 2B: Howie Kendrick has been a consistent hitter as he enters play on Tuesday with a .293 batting average with 4 homers and 17 RBIs. The power numbers are down as Kendrick has produced just one extra base hit in his past ten games.
LA Dodgers CF: Joc Pederson in his rookie campaign and first year as a starter for the club is batting .250 with 12 homers and 23 RBIs. He has drawn 33 walks so his on base percentage is .388. With 20 extra base hits on the year his slugging percentage is .556.
LA Dodgers RF: With Yasiel Puig hurt and on the DL it has been veteran Andre Ethier putting up some All Star numbers. Ethier is batting .313 with 6 homers and 17 RBIs. He had two hits in the win on Monday.
LA Dodgers P: Clayton Kershaw with some crooked numbers may not make the All Star Game. He is 2-3 in nine starts and has an ERA of 4.32 and WHIP of 1.23. He has allowed three earned runs or more in four straight games.

The Rangers have finally broken out of their scoring slump as the team has scored 10 goals in their past two playoff games in this series. Tampa Bay is the highest scoring team in the NHL and Tampa Bay over their past two games have averaged 39 ½ shots on goal per game. The two games in Tampa thus far saw the Lightning struggle on the power play going 1 of 6 while the Rangers have converted 4 of 8 chances. Boston Red Sox vs Los Angeles Angels – 5/23/15 MLB Fantasy Sports, Baseball Picks, Odds & Predictions
Major League Baseball will air nationally from mock draft managers to track rosters as the Boston Red Sox host the LA Angels. The teams will play in Boston at 7:15PM Eastern Time on FOX TV.
It is a battle between two teams underperforming at the plate this year. The Angels bats exploded in Game 1 of this series as they had a nine run fifth inning on Friday as they team had pushed across 11 runs by the time the Red Sox hit in the bottom of the frame. Season to date the Angels are 29th and second last in MLB in runs scored at just 3.68 per game. They hit .232 as a team ranking 28th in the league. For an American League team with no hitting pitcher this is simply atrocious. Pitching wise the Angels starters have given the club 25 quality outings and have a collective 1.17 WHIP the they don’t get run support so the team sat at 21-20 as this series began on Friday.
Boston is 23rd in the league in runs scored at 3.83 per contest. They hit .233 as a club ranking 27th in baseball. The starting staff has not been good and the team ERA sits at 4.47 ranking 27th in Major League Baseball. Entering the series on Friday with the Angels the Red Sox has scored one run in losses in their final two games against the Texas Rangers with a bad pitching staff. Things are quiet at the plate when the everyday player with the highest batting average is Xander Bogaerts who hits .271.
LA Angels CF: Mike Trout leads the Angels everyday players with a .303 average with 11 homers and 23 RBIs. After his three hit game on Friday has a four game win streak with three of the games multi-hit.
LA Angels RF: Trout is the only .300 hitter in the Angels everyday lineup. Kole Calhoun is close with batting average of .295. He has four homers and 20 RBIs. Calhoun has hits in eight of ten games and had two hits in Friday’s game.
LA Angels SS: Erick Aybar has moved his batting average up 25 points the past ten games. He is hitting .269 with hits in nine of his past ten games. Five of the games were multi-hit games.
LA Angels 2B: Johnny Giavotella replaced Howie Kendrick in the Angels lineup as the veteran was traded to the Dodgers in the offseason. Giavotella is battling .254 with a homer and 15 RBIs. He is in a 0 for 9 slump entering Saturdays game.
LA Angels 1B: Albert Pujols is off to a slow start. He is batting .235 with 8 homers with 16 RBIs. Pujols is coming off a 2 for 6 games on Friday as he returned to the lineup on Friday after leaving Thursday’s game early with a wrist injury.
LA Angels Pitcher: C.J. Wilson is 2-2 in eight starts with an ERA of 3.06 and WHIP of 1.13. He isn’t allowing many baserunners this year and has cut down his walks on the year. Wilson has allowed two earned runs or fewer in five of six games.
Boston Red Sox 2B: Sadly a .280 batting average is the highest for any Red Sox everyday player. It’s Dustin Pedroia who leads the team in hitting. He has five homers and 16 RBIS on the year. He had a good Game 1 of this series on Friday with three hits in five at bats.
Boston Red Sox SS: Xander Bogaerts is hitting .279 and has two homers and 13 RBIs. He enters play on a five game hit streak and has hits in seven of eight games.
Boston Red Sox 3B: Pablo Sandoval saw his average move down nearly 40 points to .268. He missed Friday’s game with a knee problem. Panda has 2 hits in his past 22 at bats. Brock Holt is seeing action and is hitting. 294.
Boston Red Sox LF: Hanley Ramirez is hitting .257 for the Red Sox with 10 homers and 22 RBIs. It has been a tough month of May for Hanley as he is batting just .213.
Boston Red Sox Pitcher: Steven Wright makes his second start of the year on Saturday. In three games Wright has a record of 1-1 with an ERA of 4.02 and WHIP of 1.53.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Atlanta Hawks – 5/22/15 NBA Playoff Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions
The Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers move into Game 2 of their NBA playoff series on Friday night May 22nd. With Atlanta down 0-1 in this series they are the home team and NBA mock draft managers can tune to TNT TV at 8:30PM Eastern Time to follow their roster scoring in real time.
Atlanta for the third consecutive playoff game was unable to eclipse 100 points as they were held to just 89 points in Game 1. After pouring in 51 for the first half the Hawks offense stalled and was held to just 38 for the second half. The Hawks three point shooting was horrid in the opener as the club could make only 4 of their 23 shots which really made the difference in the game. The game also saw Atlanta forward DeMarre Carroll go down with a sprained knee and his status for Friday is listed as questionable.
On the Cavaliers side guard Kyrie Irving played though a knee injury that impacted him on the scoring column. He is listed as probable on Friday but it would surprise anyone if Irving was to sit out Game 2 with the Game 1 victory and the next two games of this series after Friday being played in Cleveland. Sixth man J.R. Smith had been historically a very poor playoff shooter but he delivered big time in Game 1 with 28 points with 8 of 12 makes coming from three point distance.
Cleveland Cavaliers Point Guard: Kyrie Irving has played in all 11 Cavaliers playoff games. He is averaging 19 points and 3 ½ assists per game. About is injury Irving told the media that he is confident to play on Friday. He had six points in Game 6 against the Bulls. Irving scored 10 in the opener against the Hawks.
Cleveland Cavaliers Shooting Guard: J.R. Smith was hot in Game 1 of this series. For the playoffs he has started four of his nine games and is averaging 13 points per game. He is hitting 46% from the field in the post season.
Cleveland Cavaliers Small Forward: LeBron James is the scoring leader for the Cavaliers in the playoffs at 27 points per game along with 10 boards and nearly 8 assists. James is shooting just 42% from the field in the playoffs.
Cleveland Cavaliers Power Forward: Kevin Love is out of the playoffs after suffering a shoulder injury in Game 4 against the Celtics. There is now other power forward rated player on their roster.
Cleveland Cavaliers Center: Tristan Thompson has seen his minutes increase in the playoffs. He is shooting 58% from the field, grabbing 9 ½ boards with 9 points per game.
Atlanta Hawks Point Guard: Jeff Teague had a good Game 1 for the Hawks with 27 points and four assists. With J.R. Smith getting more time on the court it’s a plus for fantasy draft managers to take a look at Teague because Smith has issues defensively.
Atlanta Hawks Shooting Guard: It has been a very disappointing playoff for Kyle Korver. He is averaging just 11 points a game with a 39% shooting percentage. He is shooting nearly 90% lower in the playoffs than he did during the regular season.
Atlanta Hawks Power Forward: Paul Millsap has averaged 15 points along with nine rebounds per game in the playoffs. His shots have not fallen over his past two games at 10 for 31 combined shooting.
Atlanta Hawks Small Forward: DeMarre Carroll has put up 16 points a game with 6 ½ boards for the Hawks in the post season. In 35 minutes of play in Game 1, Carroll had just five points and one rebound. Carroll will have his hands full keeping an eye on LeBron James on defense to defend the goal. Carroll was hot in the closeout game against Washington in Game 6 with 25 points and ten rebounds.
Atlanta Hawks Center: Al Holford has been healthy this year and is numbers have been good. He is third on the team in playoff scoring at 15 points per game. Horford In Game 1 had 16 points along with seven rebounds.

Anaheim Ducks vs Chicago Blackhawks – 5/21/15 NHL Playoff Fantasy Sports, Hockey Picks, Odds & Predictions
The Western conference Finals shift to the Windy City for Game 3 as the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks meet. Hockey fantasy players can follow their roster live at 8PM Eastern Time from Chicago over NBC Sports Network.
The series is even at 1-1. Anaheim jumped to the 1-0 lead with a 4-1 win. Game 2 turned into a marathon session as the teams played deep into overtime period number three as the Blackhawks earned the 3-2 victory. There is only one day of rest between games and that day was for travel. These teams played nearly two full games. Each goalie played over 116 minutes in Game 2. Blackhawks defensemen Duncan Keith played 49 minutes, Brent Seabrook nearly 48 minutes. Could this be a time to pluck some money on a four line center, defensemen or winger? It will be interesting to see how the fatigue factor plays in Game 3. The Ducks distributed their minutes more equally than the Blackhawks did. That may have been because Anaheim was up 1-0 and Chicago was the more desperate team and wanted their superstars in the game much longer to avoid the 0-2 deficit in this series. Chicago scored two first period goals and went nearly five full periods without a goal.
Anaheim Ducks Center: Ryan Getzlaf has 14 point in the playoffs. But only 2 goals and 12 assists. After going scoreless in the final two games against Calgary, Getzlaf has as assist in the first two games of this series.
Anaheim Ducks Right Wing: Corey Perry has eight goals and eight assists the lead the team with 16 playoff points. He had a goal in Game 2 for his only point in this series. He played just 36 minutes on Monday.
Anaheim Ducks Left Wing: Matt Beleskey has five goals and an assist for six points in the post season. He has had some clutch goals for Anaheim. After a scoreless Game 2 against Chicago it broke a six game point streak for Beleskey.
Anaheim Ducks Defensemen: Sami Vatanen has scored two goals and dished six assists for eight points in the playoffs. He has just one assist over his past four games. He did have his chances with five shots on goal in Game 2. Hampus Lindholm has two goals and six assists for the Ducks in the post season. He has spent ten minutes in the penalty box. The first year players had a goal and an assist in Game 1 against Chicago.
Anaheim Ducks Goaltender: Frederick Anderson in 11 playoff games has an impressive 9-2 mark with a goal against average of 1.81. His save percentage is 93% so the Ducks have not allowed many shots on net.
Chicago Blackhawks Center: Jonathan Toews has 12 points in the playoffs with four goals and eight assists. He has just an assist in the two games of this series. Toews has done his playoff damage at home with three goals and three assists on five home ice games.
Chicago Blackhawks Right Wing: Patrick Kane leads the Blackhawks with 13 playoff points with seven goals and six assists. He is just rounding into good health after missing the latter part of the season with an upper body injury. He has been silenced in the Anaheim series with no points in the two games of this series.
Chicago Blackhawks Left Wing: Patrick Sharp has nine playoff points as he has scored four goals and five assists. Sharp like many of the big names for the Blackhawks have been silenced in this series. In two games against Anaheim, Sharp has no points.
Chicago Blackhawks Defensemen: Duncan Keith leads the unit with 11 points as he has scored two goals and assisted on nine in the playoffs. The nine year pro has hit a scoring slump with just one assist in his past four games. Brent Seabrook has three goals and three assists for six points. Like Keith he is getting lots of playoff minutes. Seabrook has an assist in the two games with Anaheim in this series.
Chicago Blackhawks Goaltender: Corey Crawford won back the starting job in the playoffs. He is 6-2 in nine games with a goal against average of 2.43 and 92.5% save percentage. He was huge in Game 2 saving 60 of 62 shots from Anaheim.

Boston Red Sox vs Texas Rangers – 5/20/15 MLB Fantasy Sports, Baseball Picks, Odds & Predictions
The Boston Red Sox are home after a 10 game road trip and they opened a series on early this week to face the Texas Rangers. Fantasy Draft managers can tune to ESPN at 7PM Eastern Time on Wednesday May 20th from Boston to follow their rosters from Game 2 of this series.
The Red Sox returned home from a 5-5 west coast trip trailing the first place New York Yankees by 3 ½ games. Looking as their team starts things could be a lot worse. Boston has had a lack of offensive production this year landing near the bottom of the league in team batting average of .234 and with just 4 runs per game average trending in the bottom third in the league. Their pitching staff has the 28th worse ERA of the 30 teams from Major League Baseball. After beating Texas 4-3 on Tuesday the team moves just 1 game under .500 with a record of 19-20.
The Texas Rangers with the loss fell to 16-23 and occupy fourth place in the AL West division. Rangers have lost four of five games. They too trend in the bottom third of the league in many offensive and pitching categories. Just like in 2014 the team has had bad luck with injuries as four rotational starters are sitting on long term DL status. They included Matt Harrison, Nick Tepesch, Derek Holland and Yu Darvish. The team had high hopes for Martin Perez but he was lost in spring training to Tommy John surgery. They did acquire Josh Hamilton from the LA Angels and the outfielder is battling a shoulder injury and should be ready by later in the month.
Texas Rangers DH: Prince Fielder is in his right position as a DH because he is a liability on defense. The 31 year old leads the Rangers everyday players with a .348 batting average with five homers and 23 RBIs. For the month of May he is batting .358. He sat out most of 2014 with a neck injury.
Texas Rangers 3B: Adrian Beltre has been a solid glove at third base for 17 years in the Majors. In 2015 he is batting .258 with five home runs and 15 RBI’s which is 26 points below is career mark. He has pulled his averaged up 30 points from May 9th as he has hits in nine of his past ten game with five multi-hit games in that span.
Texas Rangers RF: Shin Soo Choo has moved his average up to .240 with 6 homers and 17 RBIs. Choo was hitting as poorly as .169 on May 9th. He has hits in nine of ten games with six multi-hit games in that span including three games where he hit safely three times.
Texas Rangers P: Phil Klein a second year man makes his first start of his career. Klein in six relief appearances this year has an ERA of 7.71 and WHIP of 1.50 in 4 2/3rd innings pitched. He has a career 3.80 ERA with WHIP of 1.18.
Boston Red Sox 2B: No everyday .300 hitter in this lineup. Dustin Pedroia leads the team with a .280 batting average with five homers and 15 RBIs. He has multi-hit games in four of his past seven games. With 20 walks on the year he has an on base percentage of .364.
Boston Red Sox LF: Hanley Ramirez is batting .276 with 10 homers and 22 RBIs. He left Tuesday’s game with a jammed left leg and is listed as day to day.
Boston Red Sox SS: Xander Bogaaerts is carrying a .260 batting average with a homer and 12 RBIs. He has hits in four of five games but has just one extra base hit and RBI in his past ten games.
Boston Red Sox CF: Brock Holt a three year player is batting .307 with a homer and RBI. He has seen many starts the past ten games as the Red Sox hitters have been struggling.
Boston Red Sox P: Joe Kelly is coming off a good start on Thursday at Seattle where he gave up no earned runs and five hits in 6 1/3rd innings.

Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors – 5/19/15 NBA Playoff Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions
We have reached the Western conference finals stages of the NBA playoffs in 2015 and the matchup should be one that will entertain one-day league fantasy rosters. The Golden St Warriors will host Game 1 against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday May 19th. Fantasy league owners can tune to ESPN at 9PM Eastern Time from Golden St to follow the scoring.
The matchup involves two high scoring teams. The Houston Rockets are the sixth best team in points per game at 104 points per contest. The Golden St Warriors sit number on in all three major categories offensively in the league. They are the best in scoring at 110 per game, field goal shooting at 47.8% and three point shooting at 39.8%. One thing that Golden St does much better than Houston is defend. The Warriors are the top defensive field goal shooting team in the league by holding opponents to 42.8%. Those who watched the Warriors eliminate the Grizzlies in six games saw a very good game plan executed as they doubled down on the Memphis big men in Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Golden St limited the shots of the best two shooters on the Grizzlies roster and exploited the poor outside shooters on the Memphis roster. Houston will have just one day of rest since eliminating the LA Clippers in a seventh game on Sunday that was played on the Rockets home court.
Houston Rockets Point Guard: Pablo Prigioni is the line point guard on the Rockets active roster. He has averaged 18 ½ minutes over his past five games with only 2 ½ points and 2 ½ assist per game average.
Houston Rockets Shooting Guard: James Harden is a high volume shooter and leads the Rockets by far in scoring in the playoffs at nearly 27 points per game. Harden does a great job of drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line. Note he will be working hard on defense trying to contain the fast guard play of the Warriors.
Houston Rockets Power Forward: Terrence Jones contributed with 11 points per game average in the playoffs in his 24 minutes of play each night. He has pulled down over five boards per contest. Small forward Josh Smith takes Jones’ minutes when the team needs offense.
Houston Rockets Shooting Forward: Veteran Trevor Ariza is getting major minutes in the post season as he leads the team with 38 per game. He puts up 13 points, grabs nearly 7 rebounds and dishes out 3 assists per contest in the playoffs.
Houston Rockets Center: Dwight Howard is second on the club in scoring at 17 points per game. He has grabbed 14 rebounds per playoff contest. He was sent to the free throw line a lot of times in the Clippers series. With the Warriors fast pace it will be interesting to see if they want to break up their momentum and pace of the game by sending Howard to the free throw line.
Golden St Warriors Point Guard: Stephen Curry has played very well against Houston this year with a 24 points, 8 assists and 6 ½ rebounds per game in his four contests. Curry should be good to fantasy draft managers because the Rockets don’t nearly defend as well as the Grizzlies.
Golden St Warriors Shooting Guard: Klay Thompson’s production goes down greatly on the road. The Warriors are home in Game 1 and 2. He is second on the club at 21 points per game in the playoffs.
Golden St Warriors Power Forward: David Lee is the only power forward on the roster for NBA drafters when selecting fantasy rosters. Lee is coming off the bench and has averaged just 11 minutes and 3 points per game in the playoffs.
Golden St Warriors Small Forward: Draymond Green has made a name for himself in the postseason with his offense and defense. As a result his minutes have increased by six more in the playoffs. He is averaging nearly 14 points, 10 rebounds and dishing five assists per game.
Golden St Warriors Center: Andrew Bogut isn’t providing much scoring for the team. On offense he sets picks and rolls to the bucket for rebounds. On defense he plugs the middle. He is posting five points, eight rebounds and 2 assists per game.

New York Rangers have home ice advantage in this series. New York held serve in Game 1 with yet another low scoring game in a 2-1 victory. The Rangers have scored 2 goals or fewer in two straight and eight of their past ten playoff games. It’s amazing how underappreciated goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has been to the Rangers. He gets absolutely no offensive support and has very little margin for error in many of these playoff games. The win came on the heels of a grueling 2-1 overtime home victory to the Washington Capitals in a Game 7. Then Lundqvist allows just 1 one goal in the opener against the highest scoring team in the NHL who had more rest.
Tampa Bay Lightning Center: Tyler Johnson has led the Lightning with 8 goals and five assists for a total of 13 points in the post season. He broke a two game scoreless streak by assisting in the lone goal for the Lightning in Game 1.
Tampa Bay Lightning Right Wing: Nikita Kucherov is second leading scorer in the playoffs for Tampa Bay with six goals and four assists for a total of 11 points. He has three points in his past two games. He has three goals and three assists in his seven road playoff games this year.

Derick Brassard has five goals and four assists for nine points in the playoffs. He dished an assist in Game 1.

In five of the six games in their series with the Canadians Tampa Bay allowed two goals or less.
The Rangers were taken to seven games in their series with the Washington Capitals as they win it 2-1 in overtime. New York will have two full days of rest before this series begins. As usual defense has carried the Rangers and a good thing they did because the offense has produced just enough scoring to pull out close one goal wins in many games during the post season.
Tampa Bay Lightning Center: Tyler Johnson has led the team with 12 points during the post season. He has eight goals and four assists but has been in the penalty box a total of 20 minutes which is the highest on his club. NHL draft managers don’t want this scoring machine spending too many minutes disqualified from play. The second year pro had cooled off in the final two games of the Canadians series by going scoreless.
Tampa Bay Lightning Right Wing: Nikita Kucherov is second on the club with 11 points in the post season with 6 goals and 5 assists. Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors – 5/15/15 NBA Playoff Fantasy Sports, Basketball Picks, Odds & Predictions
Game 6 from the Western conference semifinal round of the NBA playoffs is necessary so the Memphis Grizzlies will be hosting the Golden St Warriors. This game will be played in Memphis on Friday night May 15th and NBA fantasy mock draft managers can following the scoring from their rosters at 9:30PM Eastern Time on TNT TV.
After dropping Game 2 and 3 the Golden St Warriors were down 2-1 in this best of seven series and staring at adversity for the first time this season. Golden St was held to just 90 and 89 points in those losses and was looking for answers as their shots were not falling. The defense intensified for the Warriors as the team wins Game 4 and 5 by allowing Memphis just 84 and 78 points in each of the contests. With the wins they are now within one win away from a trip to the Western Conference finals to play the winner of the Clippers and Rockets series. Golden St was not scoring to regular season numbers but their defense contained the two big men from Memphis in Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol from shooting at extremely high shooting percentages.
We have yet to see the best from Golden St from an offensive perspective. They have yet to show that monster performance where shots fall from the sky like we saw in the opening round against New Orleans. Mike Conley has a few games under his belt in this series after missing in Game 1 with fractures to his face. Tony Allen was hit with the injury bug as a sore hamstring prevented the Memphis guard from playing in Game 5 and is status for Game 6 is in question.
Golden St Warriors Point Guard: Stephen Curry has a playoff average of nearly 28 points and 6 ½ assists per game. He has struggled to his those numbers in this series with the Memphis Grizzlies eclipsing them just once in Game 4 with 33 points in a must win situation. He did not get to the free throw line in Game 5 as he finished with 15 points.
Golden St Warriors Shooting Guard: Klay Thompson is second on the club with a 21 point per game average in the post season. He produced 21 of the Warriors 98 points in Game 5 as he hit 3 of 4 from the three point line. Thompson over his past three games has converted 9 of 16 shots from the three point line.
Golden St Warriors Power Forward: David Lee has seen his minutes decline 8 minutes per game during the playoffs. He did see action in Game 5 and in 17 minutes has six points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Golden St Warriors Small Forward: Draymond Green has seen six minutes more per game average in the post season than the regular season. He is averaging 13 points per game along with nearly 10 rebounds.
Golden St Warriors Center: Andrew Bogut has averaged just five points per game in the playoffs but has grabbed nine boards per contest. He will be challenged getting shots in this series with the presence of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol in the paint.
Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard: Mike Conley doesn’t get much volume of shots off for the Grizzlies. He is averaging 12 shots per game in this series as he tries to feed Randolph and Gasol in the paint.
Memphis Grizzlies Shooting Guard: Courtney Lee has produced for Memphis in the playoffs with a 56% shooting percentage and 13 points per game average which is three points greater than his regular season average.
Memphis Grizzlies Power Forward: Zach Randolph is second on the team in scoring at 16 points per game in the post season. In this series against the Warriors he is shooting 53% from the floor but has struggled with getting enough volume of shots to get his scoring up the past two games by averaging 12.5 points per game.
Memphis Grizzlies Small Forward: With Tony Allen ailing with an injury its Jeff Green is seeing increased minutes. Still he is averaging just 9 points per game in the playoffs which is six points less than his point average during the regular season.
