Texas Tech Red Raiders versus Texas Longhorns NCAA Football Real Money Fantasy Picks 11-26-2015

It’s the battle of Texas NCAA programs during thanksgiving. It’s going to sizzle like a turkey dinner. Fantasy football GM’s can tune to FS1 on Thursday November 26th at 7:30PM Eastern Time to track the results of their DFS roster picks.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are 6-5 overall this year, but 3-5 against conference teams. Their offensive squad has been putting up excellent numbers. The Red Raiders are third in the nation in yards gained with 588 yards per game. It’s a lot due to their passing game, which is ranked just behind Washington State for most in the NCAA. They look like a team going in the right direction.

The Texas Longhorns have not played to their expectations. They are 4-6 overall and 3-4 within their conference. With frustrated fans demanding action, it will be interesting how they will redeem their status as champions.

Texas Tech QB:

Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes is 89 yards away from reaching 4,000, this the season. He has 31 touchdown and stands in 3rd for passing yards throughout the country. The Red Raiders QB has been solid and will continue to be for years to come.

Texas Tech RB:

DeAndre Washington

Washington has 1,282 rushing yards this year. It’s nothing like his quarterback’s numbers, but he can be enough of a weapon to be a wild card whenever. If given some space, he will run pass the scrimmage without any problems. Funny enough, he leads the team with 7 receiving TD’s. Washington also holds 12 rushing touchdown, this year.

Texas RB:

Chris Warren & Kirk Johnson

Both freshmen will get some playing time because of D’Onta Foreman’s pinkie injury. They combine for 23 carries with 100 yards and no touchdown. Despite that, they are slated to become highly efficient pair in the backfield.

It’s the Red River Rivalry game as the Texas Longhorns will face the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoon. Fantasy college football draft managers can tune to ABC TV at 12PM Eastern Time on October 11th from Dallas Texas to track the results of their roster picks.

Oklahoma has won four of the previous five meetings in this series. Last year the Sooners defeated the Longhorns 31-26 despite gaining just 232 yards to the Longhorns 462 offensive yards for the game. The Longhorns lost the turnover battle with a -2 margin. Oklahoma earned a touchdown on a kickoff and interception return.

The Sooners enter this rivalry contest with a record of 4-0. They opened up their Big 12 conference season with a 44-24 victory at home to the West Virginia Mountaineers. Oklahoma forced five Mountaineers turnovers in the win and had 320 yards passing. The Sooners is tenth in passing yards per game (358) and is eleventh best in college football in points scored per game (42).

It has been a bad start to the year for the Texas Longhorns as the club is 1-4. They must go 5-2 the rest of the way to get bowl eligible. It was bad 50-7 road defeat last week at the TCU Horned Frogs. The Longhorns are now 0-2 in the Big 12 after with a 30-27 home loss to Oklahoma St two weeks ago. In their loss to TCU the Longhorns were down 37-0 at the half. For the game Texas surrendered 604 yards to the Horned Frogs offense along with six touchdown passes to their quarterbacks. Baker Mayfield

The Sooners junior quarterback is hitting on 65% of his passes for 1382 yards with 13 touchdowns and three picks. Texas Longhorns QB:

The Longhorns are looking at a freshman quarterback now under center. Heard has hit on 55% of his throws for 661 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. He struggled in the TCU loss going 8 of 20 for just 48 yards. Jerrod Heard leads Texas in rushing with 318 yards and three touchdowns on 67 carries.
