Arkansas Razorbacks versus Alabama Crimson Tide College Football Fantasy Preview 10-10-2015

A prime time SEC conference showdown is set as the Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday night. College football fantasy cash league draft managers can tune to ESPN TV at 7PM Eastern Time on October 10th to follow the results of their roster picks.

It was a defensive struggle when these two teams met in 2014 with the Crimson Tide with the 14-13 victory on the road against Arkansas. Alabama was a fortunate winner in that game with just 227 yards of offense. Neither team ran a bit with the Crimson Tide rushing 32 times for 66 yards and the Razorbacks running for 89 yards on 39 carries. Brandon Allen the Razorbacks quarterback passed for 246 yards with a touchdown and pick.

Alabama had an impressive victory last week as they crushed the Georgia Bulldogs on the road by the score of 38-10. The team got off to a great start leading 24-3 at the half. Their run game produced 189 yards and the Crimson Tide forced four Bulldogs turnovers. The team survived an anemic 1 of 12 on third down. It was a great defensive effort by Alabama as they held Georgia to 106 passing yards. On the season the Crimson Tide limits opponents to just 16 points per game which is 19th best in all of college football.

Arkansas enters play with a 2-3 record. They were sitting on a three game losing streak last week at Tennessee and down 14-0. The Razorbacks showed some reliance by rallying for the 24-20 victory. The team had a good offensive showing gaining 507 yards of offense and rushing for 288 yards. Arkansas averaged 6 yards per carry on the ground in their victory. The Razorbacks are 24th best in college football in total yardage as they gain 478 yards per game and do it in a balanced fashion.

Alabama Crimson Tide QB:

Jake Coker

The Crimson Tide senior quarterback is completing 56% of his throws for 976 yards with nine touchdowns and four picks. In the Georgia game he completed 11 of 16 throws for 190 yards with a touchdown.

Alabama Crimson Tide RB:

Derrick Henry

The leading running back for Alabama has 93 carries for 570 yards with nine touchdowns. He is rushing for 6.1 yards a carry. In the victory against Georgia Henry ran for 148 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown.

Kenyan Drake

Drake is second on the team in carries with 43 on the season for 215 yards and a touchdown. He does have a long run of 43 yards on the year and is averaging 5 yards per rush attempt. The senior back was smothered in the Georgia game gaining no yards on six carries.

Alabama Crimson Tide WR:

Calvin Ridley

Only a freshman Ridley leads Alabama with 22 catches for 245 yards and two touchdowns. In the victory last week Ridley caught five passes for 120 yards and a touchdown.

Arkansas Razorbacks QB:

Brandon Allen

Allen has completed 66% of his passes for 1360 yards with eight touchdowns and three picks. He was just 11 of 24 last week at Tennessee for 219 yards with a touchdown and a long pass for 52 yards.

Arkansas Razorbacks RB:

Alex Collins

The junior running back leads the Razorbacks with 113 carries for 656 yards with six touchdowns. He had a nice game last week at Tennessee with 27 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Arkansas Razorbacks WR:

Drew Morgan

Morgan has 23 grabs in the 2015 season for 413 yards and three touchdowns. He caught five passes last week at Tennessee for 110 yards and had a long gain of 52 yards. Morgan is averaging 18 yards per catch.

Texas A&M Aggies versus Arkansas Razorbacks College Football Fantasy Preview

From SEC conference action the Arkansas Razorbacks will face the Texas A&M Aggies from college football. Fantasy football draft GM’s can tune to ESPN TV at 7PM Eastern Time to track the results of their one day league roster. This game will be played on a neutral field in AT&T Stadium the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

These teams meet every year in conference action and these meetings have been played in the Dallas area as well. Last year the Aggies posted the 35-28 overtime victory. Arkansas ran the ball effectively with 285 yards on the ground while the Aggies threw for 386 yards. In their past four meetings the Aggies have scored no fewer than 35 points.

This will be the first conference game for both teams. Texas A&M had one major test as they defeated Arizona St 38-17 on a neutral field. The surprise this season has been the play of their defense. The club is allowing 22.3 points per game ranking in the upper half of college football.

Arkansas has a losing record after three games with a mark of 1-2. The sad news is they have been the home team for all three games. They have lost their past two straight losing at home to Toledo 16-12 two weeks ago and last week it was a 35-25 defeat at home to Texas Tech. The Razorbacks are averaging 28 points per game ranking 82nd in all of college football. They are giving up 232 yards passing on defense which is 78th in the nation.

Texas A&M Aggies QB:

Kyle Allen

The sophomore signal caller is hitting on 61% of his throws for 594 yards with nine touchdowns and two picks. Last week in their home win to Nevada Allen hit on 18 of 31 throws for 270 yards with four touchdowns and one pick. He ran ten times for 55 yards and a touchdown. Allen has two rushing touchdowns on the campaign.

Texas A&M Aggies RB:

Tra Carson

Carson leads the team by far with 61 carries for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He is rushing for 4.8 yards a carry. Against the Aggies toughest opponent the senior running back averaged 3.3 yards a carry on his 29 rushing attempts which averaged out to just 3.3 yards a carry on the Sun Devil defense.

Texas A&M Aggies WR:

Christian Kirk

The freshman wide receiver leads Texas A&M unit by margin with 16 catches in 2015 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. He had a great game in the Aggies step up contest against Arizona St with six receptions for 106 yards with a 66 yard touchdown catch.

Josh Reynolds

Reynolds had a great game against Nevada last week catching three balls for 55 yards with two touchdowns.

Arkansas Razorbacks QB:

Brandon Allen

The Razorbacks senior quarterback has hit on 67% of his passes for 916 yards with six touchdowns and two picks. In the loss to Texas Tech last week Allen completed 16 of 21 throws for 196 yards with two touchdowns and one pick.

Arkansas Razorbacks RB:

Alex Collins:

Collins has 60 carries for 351 yards on the 2015 campaign with three touchdowns. He is averaging 5.9 yards per carry with three touchdowns and a long run of 70 yards. The junior running back was used heavily in the loss to Texas Tech with 28 carries for 170 yards with a touchdown. Collins averaged 6.1 yards a carry last week with a long run of 26 yards.

Arkansas Razorbacks WR:

Keon Hatcher

The leading wide receiver for the Razorbacks after the first two weeks of the season missed the Texas Tech game due to injury and is out on Saturday against Texas A&M.
