USC Trojans versus Arizona St Sun Devils College Football Real Money Fantasy Picks 9-26-2015

The two PAC 12 South contenders meet when the Arizona St Sun Devils will host the USC Trojans on Saturday night. College football draft managers can tune to ESPN on September 26th at 10:30PM Eastern Time to track the results of their roster drafts.

The Trojans have had recent difficulty facing the Arizona St Sun Devils the past seasons. ASU has piled up the points combining in their past two meetings 100 points. Two seasons ago it was Arizona St winning 62-41 at home and last year it was 38-34 at the Coliseum in Los Angeles.

USC enters play off their first loss of the season as they dropped a 41-31 decision at home to Stanford. It was a bad defensive night for the Trojans as they surrendered 474 yards of offense to a Stanford team that appeared to be trending downward. USC failed to get off the field on third down by allowing 8 of 12 conversions. Turnovers were not a problem because USC committed none. The Trojans offense moved the football for 427 yards and even gained 5.5 yards per carry. USC had played a soft schedule leading up to the Stanford game having met Idaho and Arkansas St at home to begin the season.

Arizona St is also a 2-1 team as they take the field at home. Their lone loss came in week one on a neutral field as they are defeated by Texas A&M 38-17. The Aggies have been the best offense up to now that the Sun Devils faced. It was close for three quarters with ASU down just 17-14 after three quarters. But then Texas A&M scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to win convincingly. Their run game struggled against the Aggies with just 2.2 yards a carry. Third down conversions were brutally bad as well as Arizona St converts just 5 of 18 in defeat.

Senior quarterback Cody Kessler is having a good season for the Trojans hitting on 78% of his throws for 922 yards with ten touchdowns and no picks. In the loss to Stanford Kessler completed 25 of 32 throws for 272 yards with three touchdowns.

He is second on the club with five receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown. That is a huge drop off from the team leader to the second in line. Whitney is averaging a very good 19.8 yards per catch and had two grabs for 32 yards last week versus Stanford.
