Alabama Crimson Tide versus Clemson Tigers College Football Real Money Fantasy Picks 1-11-2016

The college football championship game will feature the Clemson Tigers meeting the Alabama Crimson Tide. DFS draft managers can tune to ESPN TV on Monday January 11th at 8:30PM Eastern Time to track the scoring results of their one day league roster picks.

Alabama is 13-1 as they put on an impressive performance on both sides of the ball in their 38-0 victory in the semifinals to the Michigan St Spartans. The Crimson Tide showed off their tremendous skill on defense by limiting the Spartans to just 239 yards. It is worth noting that Connor Cook the Michigan St quarterback is a drop back style quarterback with no threat to run much. The Clemson quarterback is mobile and these styles of quarterbacks have given Alabama trouble in the past. The Crimson Tide operates the number two defense in all of college football as they surrender just 256 yards to their opponents. They are tops against the run.

Clemson is 14-0 as they defeated Oklahoma in their semifinal matchup on New Year’s Eve winning 37-17. The Tigers shut out the Crimson Tide in the second half. The team has the number 11 ranked offense as they run and pass very well on the season. Clemson is sixth overall on defense by allowing 302 yards per game.

Alabama Crimson Tide QB:

Jake Coker

The senior quarterback has completed 67.1% of his throws for 2775 yards with 19 touchdowns and 8 picks. In the win against Michigan St Coker completed 83.3% of his throws for 286 yards with two touchdowns. He has thrown for multiple touchdowns in three of his past four games. Coker won’t give daily fantasy GM’s much points with his legs as he has rushed for 88 yards on 66 attempts on the year.

Alabama Crimson Tide RB:

Derrick Henry

The Heisman Trophy winner has run for 2061 yards on 359 carries with 25 touchdowns. He is rushing for 5.7 yards per carry on the campaign. Henry has rushed for two touchdowns in six of his past eight games. He has a rushing touchdown in every game this year. Against high profile teams he had three rushing touchdowns on LSU and two in the semifinal victory against Michigan St.

Alabama Crimson Tide WR:

Calvin Ridley

The Crimson Tide freshman wide out has 83 catches for 1031 yards with seven touchdowns. Ridley had a big game in the semifinal victory against Michigan St with eight receptions for 138 yards with two touchdowns. He averaged 17.3 yards per catch on the Michigan St defense.

ArDarius Stewart

Stewart has caught 61 balls for 637 yards with four touchdowns. The sophomore receiver has a touchdown reception in two of his past three games.

Clemson Tigers QB:

Deshaun Watson

The signal caller is completing 68.2% his throws for 3704 yards with 31 touchdowns and 12 picks. In the ACC title game Watson had 289 yards passing and three touchdown passes on North Carolina. He had a good game in the semifinal victory against Oklahoma with 187 yards passing with a touchdown. He ran 24 times for 145 yards and a touchdown. On the year Watson has 187 carries for 1032 yards with 12 touchdowns. He is averaging 5.5 yards per reception on the year.

Clemson Tigers RB:

Wayne Gallman

The sophomore running back has 268 carries for 1469 yards with 12 touchdowns. He is rushing for 5.5 yards per carry on the campaign. Gallman had 150 rushing yards on 26 carries and two touchdowns in the victory against Oklahoma. Wayne Gallman has rushed for over 100 yards and a rushing touchdown in six of his past seven games. In the ACC championship game against the Tar Heels, Gallman ran for 187 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries.

Clemson Tigers WR:

Artavis Scott

Scott has caught 89 passes for 868 yards with five touchdowns. He has not caught for 100 yards receiving in eight straight games and has just one receiving touchdown in only one of his past eight games. With a running quarterback it definitely impacts the fantasy value for the receiving corps.

Alabama Crimson Tide versus Georgia Bulldogs College Football Daily League Fantasy Preview

From the SEC conference the Georgia Bulldogs will meet the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon. College football draft GM’s can tune to CBS TV on October 3rd from Georgia to follow the results of their roster picks.

The Las Vegas oddsmakers believe that points will be put up in this game as they set the over under total at 55 points. Also worth noting they believe that Georgia could score some points on the Alabama defense because they made the Bulldogs a two point favorite in this game. Very rarely is Alabama an underdog in a game.

Part of the reason the experts believe that Georgia could score on Alabama’s defense was the fact that Mississippi was able to score 43 points on the Tide in week three. That was Alabama’s lone loss of the season. In that game the Crimson Tide shot themselves in the foot with three interceptions and two fumbles for a -5 turnover margin. The Alabama defense did allow 341 yards passing to the Rebels but only 2.9 yards a carry on the ground.

Georgia is 4-0 on the year. Their toughest competition resulted in a 52-20 home victory to South Carolina in week three and a 31-14 road win in week two at Vanderbilt. In their SEC home win against the Gamecocks the Bulldogs threw for 330 yards in the victory.

Derrick Henry rushed for 127 yards with a touchdown and 5.5 yards a carry in the loss against Mississippi. Henry had a monster game against Wisconsin rushing for 147 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns.
