NBA draft tips will follow from each of the five positions available for cash fantasy leagues.
The Portland Trailblazers have a mark of 48-26 on the year. With eight games remaining in the regular season the Trailblazers hold a seven game lead over second place Oklahoma City Thunder. By winning the Northwest Division the Trailblazers are guaranteed no worse than the fourth seed and with that come home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs. The second seed out west is occupied by the Houston Rockets and the Trailblazers are three games behind. Finishing second in the West gives that team home court advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs.
It has been a very poor season for the LA Lakers as they enter the game with a record of 20-54. At the All Star Break it was apparent that the team would not be competing for a playoff spot. The team than had to turn their attention to protecting their first round pick which would go to the Philadelphia 76ers should the team finished as the sixth best team or better in the league at the end of the regular season. LA has just eight games remaining in the regular season and is currently the fourth worst team in the league. The sixth worst club in the NBA is the Sacramento Kings who have a mark of 26-48. LA is down six games to Sacramento with eight games remaining and if the Lakers can finish behind the Kings then LA will be able to keep their first round draft pick.
