Oklahoma City Thunder vs Dallas Mavericks – 01/22/16 Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder (32-12) make their way to Dallas’s American Airlines Center on Friday Night against the Dallas Mavericks (25-19). The Thunder are the odd favorites to win (line: -6). Here is the projected lineup:
The Thunder having won 6 straight games and with a January record of 9-3 are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. With a 109-95 win against the Hornets this Wednesday and Kevin Durant leading the way with 26 pts, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 30 minutes, Russell Westbrook added 16 points, 15 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 steals in 27 minutes. Westbrook has had at least 10 assists in the past 4 games meanwhile Durant put up at least 20 points in his last 29 games. The Thunder won their first matchup this season 117-114 back in November.
The Mavs hope to finish off a 3 game homestand with a 3rd win on Friday. They just defeated the Timberwolves 106-94 in OT. Chandler Parson recorded 30 pts, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a block in 46 minutes of playtime. Nowitzki due to a swelling in his right knee was forced to sit out. He should be able to play against the Thunder tonight. PG Raymond Felton also was absent during Wednesday’s win but will probably play tonight as well. Justin Anderson, Jeremy Evans, and Salah Mejri were all assigned to the D-League on Thursday.
