New Orleans Saints versus Arizona Cardinals NFL Fantasy Preview

From week one of the NFL season, the Arizona Cardinals open up their 2015 season at home to welcome into town the New Orleans Saints. NFL draft fantasy managers can tune to FOX at 4PM Eastern Time on Sunday September 13th to follow the results of their rosters.

The Saints are looking to bounce back from a down 2014 season that saw the team miss the playoffs. Bad part about last year is an 8-8 record would have won the NFC South last year. New Orleans to get back in the postseason will have to improve on a very poor defense from last year. The Arizona Cardinals piled up enough early wins to earn an NFC wildcard spot. Injuries to starting quarterback Carson Palmer and backup Drew Stanton forced the Cardinals to struggle down the stretch and for an early exit from the playoffs.

Drew Brees:

The 15th year starter a season ago completed 69% of his throws for 4952 yards with 33 touchdowns and 17 picks. Brees is an elite quarterback but will be without a key target in Jimmy Graham who walks to Seattle in free agency.

C.J. Spiller:

A former first round running back acquired from Buffalo in the offseason. Spiller has been listed as doubtful with a knee injury.

Marques Colston:

With no Jimmy Graham in the pass patterns it figures that Colston will get more targets. A year ago he caught 59 balls for 902 yards with five touchdowns. Colston averaged 15.3 yards per reception a year ago.

Carson Palmer:

Palmer returns from an injury riddled 2014 season. He will be throwing against a very bad defensive team from last year in the Saints. Carson Palmer hit on 63% of his throw in 2014 with 11 touchdowns and three picks.

Michael Floyd:

Floyd had a finger problem and is listed as questionable for the game. The fourth year pro caught 47 balls last year for 841 yards with six touchdowns. Michael Floyd averaged nearly 18 yards per reception.

Jermaine Gresham:

The former Detroit Lion is questionable for week one with a hamstring problem. He had 62 catches in 2014 for 460 yards with five touchdowns and 24 first down gains.

Detroit Lions versus San Diego Chargers Daily Fantasy Draft Preview

The Lions are opening their season on the road against the San Diego Chargers at 4PM Eastern Time on FOX. Detroit came up short once again in the playoffs as they lost in the first round against the Dallas Cowboys last year. San Diego finished at 9-7 as a late season slide cost them a playoff spot. The Chargers got very poor pass protection last year along with anemic run performance.

Ameer Abdullah:

The Lions rookie running back reportedly will see heavy work if lead running back Joique Bell struggles out of the gate. Abdullah was a tremendous playmaker during his tenure with Nebraska in college.

Matthew Stafford:

If Stafford can finally get some help from his run game we could see his full potential spawn in 2014. The seventh year quarterback hit on 60% of his throws last year for 4257 yards with 22 touchdowns and 12 picks.

Tennessee Titans versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers: What Fantasy Draft Managers Need to Know

Two rookie quarterbacks are on display as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Tennessee Titans at 4:25PM Eastern Time on CBS.

Marcus Mariota:

The test begins for Mariota on Sunday against the Buccaneers defense. Mariota showed good form running the spread quick strike offense with Oregon. Mariota will be making plays with his legs because he lacks many playmakers in the passing game. Fantasy football GMs should be worried about Mariota’s targets.

Mike Evans:

The second year wide out has been listed as questionable with a hamstring injury with his status likely announced at game time. He grabbed 68 passes last year for 1051 yards with 12 touchdowns and 15.5 yards per reception.

Jameis Winston:

The first round pick of the draft is being advised on patience and not forcing balls into traffic. Look for dumps off a plenty in week one.
