Dallas Cowboys versus New York Giants NFL Real Money League Fantasy Preview 10-25-2015
From the NFC East division the New York Giants will host the Dallas Cowboys from NFL action on Sunday. Fantasy Football DFS managers can tune to FOX from New York at 4:25PM Eastern Time on October 25th to follow the scoring results of their rosters picks.
This is the second meeting of the year between these two rivals. They opened the season in week one back on September 13th as the Dallas Cowboys pulled out the 27-26 victory at home. The Cowboys were able to outgain the Giants by 147 yards. Tony Romo threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns but had two picks. Romo rallied the team for the game winning touchdown with 7 seconds remaining for the win. The Giants had trouble getting into the end zone by going 1 of 4 inside the red zone.
The New York Giants are on a short week after they traveled to Philadelphia on Monday night and were beaten 27-7. It broke a three game win streak as the club fell to 3-3 in a tie with the Philadelphia Eagles atop the NFC East division. In the loss at Philadelphia the Giants offense sputtered with 247 yards. They were outgained by nearly 180 yards by the Eagles offense. New York had trouble with the Eagles run game by allowing 158 rushing yards. The Giants have been very poor defending the pass this year by allowing 298 yards through the air per game ranking 31st and second worst in the NFL.
The Dallas Cowboys enter play at 2-3 on the year. They were 2-0 with Romo healthy and in the lineup. With Brandon Weeden under center the team has lost three straight. Dallas will make the change and has named Matt Cassel as the starter on Sunday. They come off a bye week after losing at home to New England by the score of 30-6. The Cowboys have fallen to 23rd in the NFL in scoring offense as they push across 20.2 points per game.
New York Giants QB:
The veteran quarterback of the Giants is completing 66% of his throws for 1606 yards with 11 touchdowns and 4 picks. He struggled in the Dallas game in week one with 193 passing yards with no touchdowns and some clock management strategy mistakes late in the game.
New York Giants RB:
It has not been a good year on the ground for this Giants team as they rush for 3.6 yards a carry. Jennings has 66 rushing attempts for 243 yards and a touchdown. He is rushing for 3.7 yards per attempt on the campaign. In the Philadelphia game last week Jennings had 13 carries for 63 yards. That is the most attempts he has had this year as he loses carries based on his poor production.
New York Giants WR:
Odell Beckham Jr
He leads the Giants receivers in targets by at least twice as many than the closest one. He has been bothered by a hamstring that has forced him to miss practices and is probable for this game.
Dallas Cowboys QB:
Hard to endorse since Cassel couldn’t beat out the contenders for the Buffalo Bills job in the preseason and became expendable. We could understand Cassel not beating out Tyrod Taylor but when E.J. Manuel passed him on the depth chart we have to give a big pass here.
Dallas Cowboys RB:
The Cowboys running back has 74 carries for 291 yards with one touchdown. He is averaging just 3.9 yards a carry this year.
Dallas Cowboys TE:
The veteran tight end leads the Cowboys with 30 grabs for 271 yards and two touchdowns. He had five catches but just 33 yards receiving in the loss to New England.
