Philadelphia Eagles versus Detroit Lions NFL Fantasy Preview 11-26-2015
Thanksgiving Day action from the NFL gets underway at 12:30PM Eastern Time as the Detroit Lions will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. Fantasy football draft GM’s can tune to FOX TV on November 26th from Detroit to follow the scoring results of their DFS roster picks.
Philadelphia is 4-6 on the year after they get blown out at home to Tampa Bay last week by the score of 45-17. The Eagles defense was torched for 521 yards by the Buccaneers offense. Philadelphia surrendered 283 rushing yards. The team is 28th in the NFL in defending the run by allowing 128 yards rushing per game.
Detroit has a modest two game win streak heading into Thanksgiving. The team is 3-7 after an 18-13 home victory to Oakland. They scored 18 points two weeks ago in their 18-16 road win at Green Bay. Detroit has been held to below 20 points in four straight and seven of their past eight games. In their win against Oakland the team held the Raiders to just 214 offensive yards as the defense responded. From a fantasy perspective draft managers have to be concerned about the Lions 29th ranking in the NFL in scoring offense by averaging 18.5 points per game this season.
Here is the Fantasy Pick
Philadelphia Eagles WR:
Quarterback Mark Sanchez had good chemistry with wide out Jordan Matthews last year during his rookie campaign. Now that Sanchez has a game under his belt look for this duo to hook up in this quick turnaround game for both teams. There is just one recommendation from this game.

Carolina Panthers QB:
The Panthers veteran signal caller is playing very good football right now. He is doing a great job of reading opposing defenses. With his foot speed Newton has the ability to make plays with his legs and is no stranger to calling his own number when deep in opposing territory.
Carolina Panthers TE:
Olson leads the Panthers 48 receptions for 718 yards with six touchdowns. He has a career high 15 yards per catch average this season by a long way. His best was in the 2012 season where he average 12.2 yards per catch. Olson has a touchdown catch in three of his past four games.
