New York Mets versus Kansas City Royals MLB World Series Game 1 Fantasy League Picks 10-27-2015

The World Series is set to begin as the Kansas City Royals will host the New York Mets in Game 1 of a best of seven. Fantasy baseball draft GM’s can tune to FOX TV on Tuesday October 27th to track the results of their one day rosters.

The New York Mets have not just made it to the World Series on their fine pitching staff alone. The team has gotten some good contributions at the plate as well. Second baseman Daniel Murphy has been tearing the cover off the baseball with clutch hits in huge situations. New York was able to knock off the LA Dodgers in 5 games to open the playoffs as they withstood the difficult task of facing Clayton Kershaw and Zach Greinke a combination of four times in the five games. Then the team faced the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS and made quick work of sweeping a four game series. New York allowed a total of eight runs total over the four games they played against Chicago. The offense also provided cushion as the game was decided by two games or greater.

The Kansas City Royals enter the World Series in back to back seasons. Last year they were beaten by the San Francisco Giants. Kansas City had a difficult road in the post season as they were able to withstand two elimination games against the Houston Astros in the opening round to advance 3-2 in the best of five ALDS. The offense came to life in Game 4 and 5 as the club combined for 16 runs in the two games. In the ALCS the Royals were able to eliminate a very good hitting Toronto Blue Jays team in six games.
