Nascar – Brickyard 400 – Sprint Cup Fantasy Preview

The NASCAR Brickyard 400 will go off on Sunday July 26th as fantasy league cash can be made by targeting the right drivers for this race. NASCAR mock draft managers can tune to NBC Sports Network at 3:30PM Eastern Time from Indianapolis to follow the results of their selected rosters. Let’s take a look at the top 16 drivers in order of their points earned for the Chase.

Jimmy Johnson: He tops Sprint Cup series with four victories in 2015 on tour. Johnson has posted ten top five finishes. After a ninth place finish at Kentucky two weeks ago Johnson finished a disappointing 22nd last week at New Hampshire.

Kevin Harvick: 2nd in the Chase standings in points Harvick has two wins on the year with 13 top five finishes out of the 19 races he has entered. Harvick finished third at New Hampshire last week. His victories came at Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Dale Earnhardt Jr: Two wins on the year with ten top five finishes. He won the Sprint series at Daytona on July 5th. Started in 19th last week at New Hampshire and improved to fifth place at the finish.

Kurt Busch: Two victories and three poles season to date. The Las Vegas native has back to back tenth place finishes at Kentucky and last week at New Hampshire. Busch’s last victory came at Michigan on June 14th.

Joey Logano: The 25 year old has a win with eleven top five finishes on the year and in addition has won four poles. Logano was fourth last week at New Hampshire after a second place finish at Kentucky two weeks ago.

Martin Truex Jr.: In 19 starts on the year Truex Jr. has a win with five top five finishes. His victory came at Pocono on June 7th. He has finished out of the top ten over his past four races. Last week at New Hampshire it was a 12 place finish.

Brad Keselowski: A single win and four top five finishes on the year for Keselowski. His lone win came at California. Keselowski was second last week at New Hampshire and led for 100 laps in that race.

Denny Hamlin: Ninth in points for the Chase, Hamlin has a win and five top five finishes on the circuit this year. His win came at Martinsville. Hamlin after back to back third place finishes at Daytona and Kentucky in the Sprint Series was 14th last week at New Hampshire.

Carl Edwards: He has back to back top ten finishes. Was fourth two weeks ago at Kentucky and last week was seventh after taking the pole at New Hampshire. His lone win in 2015 came at Charlotte on May 24th but could be knocking on the door for another trip to victory lane.

Jamie McMurray: In his nineteen starts the 39 year old has two top five finishes. His best finish in 2015 was second place at Phoenix. McMurray was 26th at New Hampshire last week.

Jeff Gordon: In his final season in NASCAR the 43 year old has three poles in his 19 starts with no wins and two top five finishes. Gordon has three straight top ten finishes after a ninth place at New Hampshire last week.

Kasey Kahne: He has a pole with two top five finishes on the year. Kahne has just one top ten finish in his past six races and was 19th a week ago at New Hampshire.

Ryan Newman: In 19 starts Newman has no wins with five top five finishes. He was third earlier in the season at Las Vegas and Phoenix. Newman was 11th last week at New Hampshire.

Paul Menard: The 34 year old has no wins with two top five finishes on circuit on the year. Has only one top ten finish over his past six races. Menard was 25th last week at New Hampshire.

Aric Almirola: 16th in the chase holding the bubble position Almirola has a single top ten finish in his nineteen races season to date. The 31 year old was fifteenth last week at New Hampshire.
