Fantasy Golf Masters 2016 Preview

World’s elite golfers will gather and fight for that green jacket this week. It will be strange not to see Tiger Woods missing out despite his poor form lately due to an injury, but a lot of weight will be on youngster and currently second in the world, Jordan Spieth to defy the odds and try to repeat.

The reigning Masters champion is the favorite to win it all. He will need to play exactly like last year where his record breaking form and dominance surprised everyone. Unfortunately, Masters’ champions have a tough history defending their titles at Augusta especially since only Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods have been able to manage back to back wins at the Masters.

Rory McIlroy is another golfer to watch out for since his hunger for a Green Jacket to complete his career Grand Slam is real. 2 time winner Bubba Watson hasn’t defended his title well but can still make some surprises as we’ve seen the past 5 years. Rickie Fowler, still searching for his 1st major win is a force to look out for as well as Dustin Johnson who’s been playing well lately.

All these big names are contenders but no one is seen as a bigger threat to Spieth than the Aussie Jason Day. Since the conclusion of the PGA championship, he’s been the hottest golfer on the planet. He closed out 2015 winning 4 of 7 tournaments and started 2016 with a bang winning back to back the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-Dell Match Play last week regaining Spieth’s # 1 in the world spot.
