The Mavericks are not playing the greatest basketball right now but hanging on just enough to stay in the playoffs, only 1 game up from the Utah Jazz. They unfortunately are on a struggling pattern since the All-Star Break and have lost 6 of their last 7 games. It would really be hard to imagine them getting a win again this time against a red hot Dubnation on pace to beat the single season record of wins. The Mavs are slumping defensively and especially at home surprisingly allowing around 110 pts per game in their past eleven games. They’ve lost 8 of their last 9 matchups against the Warriors.
Golden State is on another ridiculous streak having won 13 of their last 14 games. The offensive movement and defensive units are tremendous. They have not shown any signs of weaknesses at all in their 67 games played. They will try to resume their record run in the pursuit of 73 wins in Dallas and ironically, one of their 6 losses was in Dallas back in December. They’re only a 12-3 stretch away from obtaining their record and have made a run better than that on four different occasions this season already. Coach Steve Kerr insisted that fatigue is showing a bit on his players due to the record chasing and he wants to take precautions to slow down the process, limiting practice and resting his players.
