The Stars will play their last of a two games in two days stretch, and they will be putting in Kari Lehtonen in nets for this one. Antti Niemi will be resting after playing in last night game against the Nashville Predators. Lehtonen is coming into this one having won his last three start. He’s 13-6-2 this season with a goal-against of 2.10 and a save-percentage of .920 against the St. Louis Blues. The Finnish goalie picked up the shutout in the last meeting between the two, back in December. Dallas counts on him to even up the season series to two game apiece. Cody Eakin, who sustained an undisclosed injury on Saturday, in Washington, looked alright last night. He scored the Stars first goal in the game against the Predators. The Texan team can go for a fifth straight victory. Both Jamie Benn and Patrick Sharp collected 1 goal and 2 assists versus them Blues, this season.

The Blues will likely put Brian Elliot in front of the net for tonight’s game. If they do, it will be his 15th consecutive start. He’s been replacing Jake Allen, who injured his knee since January 8. Elliott is 9-3-3 with a 1.78 goal-against and a .945 save-percentage in those 15 games. St. Louis are being rewarded with the excellent production of their rookie, Robby Fabbri, this week. He’s on a career-high four-game point streak. The first round-pick for the Blues in 2014 has 2 goals and 5 assists in that stretch. Also, both Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko stand close to a point-per-game versus the Stars; Stastny has 34 points in 35 games and Tarasenko has 11 points in 12 games. Left wing Scotty Upshall is most likely to be playing in his 600 NHL game tonight. The Blues have been undefeated in two games at home against the Stars, this season.
