Fantasy Draft – Nascar – Michigan 400 – Sprint Cup Preview

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is headed to Michigan International Speedway on Sunday August 16th. NASCAR fantasy draft managers can tune to the Michigan 400 at 2:30PM Eastern Time on NBC Sports Network to follow their results of their one day leagues.

Jimmie Johnson: Has accumulated four wins on tour in 2015 with 15 top ten finishes. It was a tenth place finish for Johnson at Watkins Glenn last week. His last placement in the top five was on July 5th with a second place effort at Daytona.

Kyle Busch: Tied with Johnson with four wins season to date. He has five top five finishes on tour. Busch has been hot. In his past five races he had three firsts, a second and a 21st place finish. Last week it was a second place for the Las Vegas native at Watkins Glen.

Kevin Harvick: He too has some good results of late with three thirds in his past four races. He was in the top five in five of seven races. Last week was a third place for Harvick at Watkins Glenn.

Joey Logano: What a weekend at Watkins Glen for Joey Logano as he pulls the Sprint Cup and Xfinity sweep over the weekend winning all two races. Logano has ended in the top five in seven of his past nine races.

Dale Earnhardt Jr: Tumbling down the Chase standings of late Earnhardt Jr. will try and bounce back from 11th place last week at Wakins Glen. He has been out of the top five in three of his past five races.

Matt Kenseth: After his win at Pocono Kenseth was a good fourth at Watkins Glen as he started 26th in the race. He has been seventh or better in five straight.

Kurt Busch: A better result for Busch last week with a fifth after a 37th two weeks ago at Pocono. He won at Michigan on June 14th with his other victory on April 25th at Richmond.

Brad Keselowski: It was seventh place effort for Keselowski at Watkins Glen a week ago. He was sixth at Michigan on June 14th in a race where led for six of the laps. Keselowski has finished second in two of his past four races.

Martin Truex Jr.: After starting second Truex Jr. was 25th last week at Watkins Glen. He has been out of the top ten in six of his past seven races. At Michigan on June 14th Martin Truex Jr. was third.

Denny Hamlin: It has been back to back poor finishes for Denny Hamlin. He was 27th last week at Watkins Glen after a 22nd place effort two weeks back at Pocono. Hamlin earned his lone win on the circuit at Martinsville in March. It was an 11th place finish for Hamlin at Michigan on June 14th.

Carl Edwards: It was an eighth place finish for Edwards last weekend at Watkins Glen. He has just one top five in past 11 races since winning at Charlotte on May 24th. Edwards was 12th at Michigan in June.

Jamie McMurray: It was an ugly 40th place for McMurray at Watkins Glen a week ago. He has no top ten placements in seven straight races. His best result was a second at Phoenix on March 15th.

Paul Menard: His best work this year was a third place at Talladega. Menard was 13th at Watkins Glen last week to run his streak of seven races out of the top ten.

Jeff Gordon: The 44 year old veteran started fifth at Watkins Glen last week only to finish 41st. He was 42nd three weeks ago at The Brickyard. He has third place finishes at Pocono in early August and in April at Bristol. Gordon has had the pole position three times this year on tour.

Ryan Newman: Its five straight results out of the top ten for Newman after a 15th place at Watkins Glen last week. His best results were thirds in back to back races at Las Vegas and California in early March.

Clint Bowyer: A six place at Watkins Glen means three straight top ten efforts for Bowyer on the campaign. His best finish was third at Sonomo. It was a ten place for Bowyer at Michigan in June.
