Nascar Daily Fantasy Sports Preview

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes a stop to Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee on Saturday night August 22nd. NASCAR mock draft managers can tune to NBC Sports Network at 7:30PM Eastern Time to follow the scoring results of their rosters.

Jimmie Johnson: Co-leads the field with four wins on the circuit. He has ten top five finishes on the year. Johnson had a 39th place finish at Michigan a week ago after starting in eighth. Jimmy Johnson has not finished in the top five in his past six races.

Kyle Busch: Tied with Johnson with four wins on the circuit. He has finished in the top five this season five times. He had a won four races in a five week span from late June until late July. After a second place at Watkins Glen, Busch was 11th last week at Michigan.

Matt Kenseth: Won at Michigan last week to run his win total to three on the year. It was his second win in three weeks as Kenseth won at Pocono on August 9th. Kenseth has finished no worse than seventh in his past six races.

Kevin Harvick: Has finished third or greater in two straight and four of his past five races. Harvick was second last week at Michigan after starting in seventh place. Two weeks ago it was a third place finish at Watkins Glen. Harvick’s two wins came at Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Joey Logano: Was the winner at Pocono two weeks ago. He followed up that result with a second place at Michigan last week. Logano’s other victory was at the Daytona 500. Joey Logano has finished second or better in three of his past six races.

Dale Earnhardt Jr: Finished 10th at Michigan a week ago. He has two top five results in his past five races. His wins came at Talladega and Daytona on July 5th.

Kurt Busch: He has 13 finishes in the top ten on the season. He was 20th at Michigan a week ago. His last victory came back on June 14th at Michigan.

Martin Truex Jr: In his 23 starts this year Truex Jr. has finished in the top ten 16 times. He started 22nd last week at Michigan and finished in second place. His lone win of the season came June 7th at Pocono.

Brad Keselowski: A win in 23 starts on the circuit. He has top ten results in his past five races. Last week Keselowski was 9th at Michigan. His lone win came at California. The past month he has seconds at Pocono and New Hampshire.

Denny Hamlin: Started in second place a week ago at Michigan and ended in fifth place. In his 23 starts Hamlin has a single win and it came at Martinsville. He has four top five placements in his past six races.

Carl Edwards: Three straight top ten’s after he finished in sixth place last week at Michigan. He has one win in his 23 races and that came back in May at Charlotte.

Jamie McMurray: Winless in his 23 starts with only two finishes in the top five on the year. He has been out of the top ten in eight straight races. After a 40th place at Watkins Glen two weeks ago it was a 16th place finish for McMurray at Michigan a week ago.

Paul Menard: No wins in 23 starts. He was in 12th place last week at Michigan. His best results came in a third place at Talladega and a fourth place at California. Menard has finished out of the top ten in eight straight races.

Ryan Newman: His eighth place at Michigan last week was his best result in five races. He was third way back in March at Las Vegas and Phoenix and still his best results on the circuit this year.

Jeff Gordon: The retiring Gordon is slipping in the Chase standings and just one spot away from the bubble. He has three poles and three top five finishes but no wins his 23 starts. He was 17th last week at Michigan.

Clint Bowyer: Only a single top five in his 23 starts in 2015. Had three straight top ten finishes until a 41st place at Michigan last week.
