Fantasy Basketball NCAA Preview Florida State Seminoles vs Syracuse Orange– 02/11/16
We are less than a month away from March Madness, and both Syracuse (16-8, 6-5) and Florida State (16-7, 6-5 ACC) looking to enter the NCAA fantasy basketball tournament. They are both tied for eight place in the ACC. One of them will take a big step towards the big show tonight, as they will face each other at the Carrier Dome.
The Seminoles are on a four-game win streak. They are tied for 8 place with Guard Malik Beasley is thriving in his sophomore year. He leads the team with an average 17.3 points per game and a field-goal percentage, for a player with at least 80 shots, of .515. Something that doesn’t happen a lot for perimeter players. Beasley put up 15 or more points in his last eight contest. The Georgia native also buried at least one 3-pointer in each of those games. Dwayne Bacon is also a player to look out for, as he scored double figures in 15 straight game.
Syracuse won six out of their last seven games. It all started with the return of head coach Jim Boeheim, who was suspended for nine-games. His presence seems to have lifted the team up. The Orange took last season meeting 70-57. Guard Trevor Cooney scored 28 points in that meeting. He has been struggling lately from the field, shooting 5-for-22.
