The calendar switches to September and the Major League Baseball season has hit its stretch run. Two desperate AL teams look to contend in the final weeks of the season as the Baltimore Orioles will host the Tampa Bay Rays. Fantasy Baseball draft managers can tune to MLB Network at 7PM Eastern Time to track the scoring results of their player rosters.

A check of the standings for the AL Wildcard as this series begins on Monday has Tampa Bay trailing the Texas Rangers by 4 ½ games for the final playoff spot. The Baltimore Orioles have a bigger hill to climb down 5 ½ games to the Rangers. Tampa Bay must pass both the Twins and Angels to reach the Rangers. Orioles have to leapfrog the Twins, Angels, Rays and Indians to reach Texas.

Tampa Bay has lost their past two series as they get ready for Baltimore. They dropped two of three games at home to Minnesota and Kansas City to finish the home stand at 4-6 to greatly hurt their wildcard hopes. Offense has been an issue for the Rays for some time.
