Fantasy Baseball Preview

Serious playoff contender’s battle on Saturday August 22nd from Major League Baseball as the Pittsburgh Pirates will be home to the San Francisco Giants. MLB draft managers should tune to FOX Sports 1 at 4PM Eastern Time to capture the game live and to track the scoring results of their rosters.

The Giants enter action on Friday with a 1-3 mark on this current seven game road trip as they dropped the opener 4-0 at Pittsburgh on Thursday. Scoring has been an issue for the Giants on this trip with just six runs across in four games. They are in a battle with the LA Dodgers in the NL West division as they trail Los Angeles by three games in the loss column after their defeat on Thursday. The team has hit for average in 2015 but could use a bit more clutch hits to get more runs over. San Francisco bats .269 on the year. The second place team in the NL West could have trouble making a playoff spot with how hot the Cubs, Pirates and Cardinals have been. All three of the NL Central teams could make the post season leaving just one spot for the NL West.

The Pittsburgh Pirates enters game two of this series with the Giants with a mark of 72-47. With their win in the opener of this four game series the club has won three straight and seven of their past eight games. The pitching has been outstanding as the club sits second in the league in Team ERA at 3.18 season to date.
