Fantasy Baseball Preview – Atlanta Braves vs New York Yankees – 8-29-15 – MLB

Major League Baseball returns to FOX Sports 1 with the Saturday game of the week involving the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees. Fantasy baseball draft managers can tune to FOX Sports 1 TV at 7PM Eastern Time to check out the game and follow the results of their rosters.

The New York Yankees enters this interleague series with the Braves at 69-57 and sits in second place in the AL East to the Toronto Blue Jays by one game in the loss column. As they play on Friday night the Yankees have lost two straight and five of their past seven games. In losing the final two games of their series with the Astros the Yankees pitching staff gave up a total of 21 runs. They have scored three or fewer runs in six of seven games as they open up this series with Atlanta. The hitting slump could be an indicator of concern for the Yankees because they have an older roster of everyday players. Still the team is second in the MLB in runs scored per game (4.67) and sits fourth in baseball in home runs (165).

The Atlanta Braves have fallen way out of contention in the AL East and wildcard race with a record of 54-73. As they lost to Colorado on Wednesday the club has dropped two straight and nine of their past ten games. The team scored three runs or fewer in eight of their past ten games. The pitching has struggled as well. Atlanta is a station to station club who has no power and trouble generating runs. They are 30th and last in runs per game (3.65) and homers (81).
