Starting Lineup

Center David Krejci returned to the team for the first time since he sustained an upper-body injury in a game against the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 27. He and forward David Pasternak, who has missed the past three games with an upper-body injury, both accompanied the team to Montreal. They skated together on a 5th line in practice with extra forward Tyler Randell. It is unlikely that they will play Tuesday night. It is also confirmed that Adam McQuaid has not skated since subsatining an upper-body injury on a hit from behind by Washington Capitals forward Zach Sill on January 5th. The Bruins are just one point in front of Montreal in the Atlantic Division with two games in hand.

After back-to-back road losses, 4-3 in overtime to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and 5-2 to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, the Canadiens skipped on pratctice Monday. Goalie Carey Price and defenseman Tom Gilbert both out with lower body injuries remain out. Since the start of December, the Canadiens have gone 5-15-1. They hold the worst record in the NHL during this span and a minus-23 goal differential.
