Starting Lineup Washington have lost five of their last six games, the latest defeat coming at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at Verizon Center, where the team is now 8-11. John Wall was the leading producer for the Wizards in the 97-88 loss, putting up 21 points put having an uncharacteristically quiet night in the assist category with only 4. Wall is averaging 9.8 assists for the team this season, good enough for second place in the league. Marcin Gortat put up a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but it was shooting accuracy that ultimately felled them again, as they shot 39.3% from the field. Bradley Beal (leg) still leads the team in scoring with an average of 19.8 points per game despite missing 14 games for Washington. The club expects his return to the starting lineup in a matter of days.

The Magic put a much-needed end to a four-game skid on Friday night in Brooklyn, topping the Nets 83-77 and hopefully out of an offensive funk after turning quite a few heads in the first third of the season. Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic both had 20 points apiece, Vucevic with a double-double on 10 rebounds and Oladipo with 9 boards himself. Oladipo also contributed nearly half of Orlando’s points from beyond the arc in the win with six three-pointers on eight attempts. The Magic currently sit at third place in the Southeast Division, 2.5 games behind the first place Miami Heat.
