Starting Lineup Outside of one dud performance against the Sacramento Kings, the Thunder have been one of the best teams in the NBA. They lost that game to Sacramento without Kevin Durant and played some poor basketball. They were obviously happy to get him back for their most recent game in a dominant win. They won that game on Wednesday by 18 points over the Memphis Grizzlies, thanks to a near 20-20 game from Durant. Oklahoma City has already played the Lakers twice this season and both games were far from competitive. In fact, they won those games by a combined score of 238 to 163. This appears to be a mismatch on paper and the only silver lining for the Lakers is that the Thunder are barely over .500 on the road this season.

The Lakers have been playing some of their best basketball over the last five games and actually have a winning record in that span. In fact, they could be 4-1 if they could have pulled off a huge comeback against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. Los Angeles overcame a 27-point deficit to nearly pull off a miraculous win. Kobe Bryant had 28 points, while D’Angelo Russell scored a career-high 27 in that comeback loss. With all that said, this is one of the biggest mismatches in the NBA, as the Lakers have lost by a combined 75 points in its first two games against the Thunder. That is why the Thunder are favored by double-digits on the road here.
