Milwaukee improved to 11-7 at home on Tuesday night with a win over visiting division rival Chicago, 106-101. Although currently sitting in a deep hole in last place in the Central Division, the Bucks have the opportunity to play spoiler heading into the midway point of the season, as evidenced by recent victories over the Mavericks and Pacers. All five Milwaukee starters posted double digits on Tuesday, with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the charge with 29 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor. Greg Monroe contributed his own double-double with 17 points and 12 boards in a game that saw the team make only 3 of 13 attempts from long range. Khris Middleton, who has been the team’s leading scorer all season with an average of 16.9 points per contest, was true to form with 16 points in this outing.
The Wizards return home after a two-game road trip that saw them log impressive wins against the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls. Their 114-100 Monday night victory over the Bulls was their ninth win away from home this season and was highlighted by seven Wizards players scoring in double digits. John Wall recorded another double-double with 17 points and 10 assists, while Ramon Sessions came off the bench with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Wall is putting up 9.6 assists in Washington’s 2015-16 campaign, second-best in the NBA behind Rajon Rondo. Drew Gooden had his own double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds as Washington prepares to contest seven of their next nine games at home where they are 8-11.
