Once again, I bring you my daily fantasy hockey picks from FanPicks.com. With eight games on the NHL schedule tonight we have a nice set of options to choose from. Let’s take a look at my roster and what strategy I employed this time to win my daily fantasy hockey league.

  • My Lineup

In goal, recently I’ve been picking from the discount basket and it has not paid off. So tonight I’m going for in another direction. Polar opposites if you will, the ever-consistent Cory Schneider. The New Jersey netminder is aiming to match a career-high 26 wins tonight in his 47th start (25-16-6, 1.98 GAA, .931 Sv%). Another reason for going with Schneider is the play of Andy Greene and Adam Larsson. The Devils top defensive pairing haven’t been on the ice for an even-strength goal against in the past five games, and a matchup with the Flyers is nice on paper.

For skaters I’m riding the hot streaks tonight.

At center, Joe Thornton has seen a revival since the Holiday season, and Capitals forward Evgeni Kuznetsov has 13 assists in his last 10 games.

Sabres depth winger Marcus Foligno has three goals in his last two outings and is a big body presence around the net. David Perron has four points in his last three and has looked like a new player since being traded to Anaheim. He and Ryan Getzlaf make a nice duo.

Nikita Kucherov is a big ticket item, but a return with familiar linemates Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson tonight could have the trio lighting up the scoreboard.

6’5 Bruins forward Jimmy Hayes also has four points in his last three contests and has a great matchup with the Blue Jackets.

The silky smooth Sami Vatanen and big-man Seth Jones complete my roster. The two mobile defenders can put up points, put pucks on net and shut it down defensively as well. A potentially high-paced game with the Oilers could have Vatanen collecting multiple points tonight.
