Oklahoma Sooners vs. Clemson Tigers College Football One Day League Fantasy Preview 12-31-2015
The college football playoffs get underway on New Year’s Eve with the Orange Bowl as the Clemson Tigers will meet the Oklahoma Sooners. Fantasy college football draft GM’s can tune to ESPN TV on Thursday December 31st at 4PM Eastern Time to track the results of their daily roster picks.
These teams recently met in the Russell Athletic Bowl last year with Clemson posting the 40-6 victory. The Oklahoma offense was limited to just 275 yards for the game in the loss. Clemson had trouble rushing with only 68 yards on 42 carries. Clemson is an undefeated team with a mark of 13-0. They are the 11th ranked offense from college football as they push across 510 yards per game. They throw and pass equally well. The Tigers finished at seventh in total defense as opponents posted 296 yards per game. A very good stat but the ACC conference teams did not have the dynamic offensive teams like you see in the Big 12 conference. So take a pass on Clemson’s defense.
Oklahoma rallied following their loss to the Texas Longhorns. The point production was very strong but many of those big wins came against questionable defensive teams. Clemson faced better defenses yet still put up some very strong offensive numbers.
