UCLA enters this game with a record of 8-3. They showed some heart last week going into a hostile road venue at Utah and coming away with the 17-9 victory. They allowed about 4 yards a carry on the ground to the Utes but held Utah to only 110 yards passing. The run game for UCLA got grounded with 105 yards on 38 carries but they got just enough from their passing game to squeak out a huge win.

USC is 7-4 as they suffered a 48-28 road defeat at the Oregon Ducks last week. It broke a four game win streak for the Trojans as the dynamic passing attack by Oregon done in the Trojans. Ducks quarterback Vernon Adams threw for 407 yards and six touchdown passes. The Trojans were able to run for nearly 5 yards a carry on Oregon which is a positive to take into this game against a Bruins team weak in that area.
