Arkansas St Red Wolves versus South Alabama Jaguars College Football Fantasy Preview 10-13-2015
The Sun Belt conference is featured from college football for Tuesday October 13th as the South Alabama Jaguars will meet the Arkansas St Red Wolves. College football fantasy draft GM’s can tune to ESPN2 TV at 8PM Eastern Time to follow the results of their roster picks.
The Red Wolves have had success in their short history facing the Jaguars in the Sun Belt. Arkansas St has won three straight including a 45-10 victory on the road last year. The Red Wolves are 2-3 with two losses by margin on the road at USC and Toledo. They have a seven point home loss to Missouri. In week five they defeated Idaho 49-35 as they rolled up 521 yards in the victory.
South Alabama enters play with a record of 3-2. Their two wins have come on the road to Troy last week and they have a victory at San Diego St in week three of the season. The Jaguars were able to get past the Troy Trojans 24-18 in week five. They put on a good defensive performance by limiting the Trojans to just 265 yards. South Alabama has had their struggles on both sides of the football. They are 105th in the nation in scoring offense at 22.6 points per game and 109th in the nation in points allowed at an average of 35.8 points per game.
Arkansas St Red Wolves QB:
The freshman quarterback has hit on 63% of his throws for 788 yards with four touchdowns and six picks. In the win against Idaho he hit on 16 of 25 throws for 188 yards with a touchdown and pick.
Arkansas St Red Wolves RB:
Gordon leads the Red Wolves with 7 carries for 455 yards and five touchdowns. He had a monster game last week with 26 carries for 221 yards and three touchdowns.
A freshman back has rushed 35 times on the year for 210 yards with two touchdowns. He had a nice game against the Vandals running for 70 yards on six carries and a touchdown.
Arkansas St Red Wolves WR:
McKissic has seen action in all of his four years with the program. In 2015 the senior wide out has caught 27 balls for 284 yards and a touchdown. He had four catches against Idaho for 40 yards.
South Alabama Jaguars QB:
The first year starter has completed 52% of his throws for 1131 yards with seven touchdowns and six picks. He threw for two touchdowns at Troy in week five for 205 yards. He is not much of a threat to run the football.
South Alabama Jaguars RB:
Johnson leads the Jaguars with 64 carries for 411 yards and four touchdowns. He is running for 6.4 yards a carry on the year. In week three Johnson had a big game at San Diego St rushing for 142 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns. He had a rushing touchdown in the win at Troy in week five.
South Alabama Jaguars TE:
The junior tight end leads the Jaguars with 23 receptions for 350 yards and five touchdowns. He had five receptions at Troy for 45 yards and two touchdowns.
South Alabama Jaguars WR:
Magee leads the wide outs with 13 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns. He had a good game in their win at Troy as the junior wide receiver had three catches for 118 yards. He had a long of 48 yards.
