College Basketball Season Leaders
In College Basketball, on any day any player can hit their stride for a huge fantasy value, far beyond the numbers we see in other sports. However, this unpredictability can swing the other direction as well. As you can see from the below graph, only three players (Ben Simmons, Quinton Chievous, and Domantas Sabonis) make multiple appearances on this 65+ fantasy point list. So if you spend the $9,600 on Ben Simmons and he has an off day, you are pretty much already guaranteed a loss in your Fanpicks College Basketball Fantasy tournament.
On the team level there are no guarantees there either. Lets say you spend your cash on Kyle Hollingsworth from BYU. It is just as likely that Hollingsworth takes the lions share of the fantasy points as one of his teammates, Nick Emery or Chase Fischer. Same goes for Gonzaga, it could just as easily be Domantas Sabonis as Kyle Wiltjer who provides the fantasy value. It is best to find a team that is very dependent on one player to put up big numbers, such as Ben Simmons for Louisiana State, as he is the only player to exceed 60 fantasy points this year on his College Basketball team.
