Cincinnati won last year 34-17 at home to South Florida and has won three of their four past meetings. The Bearcats enter play with a record of 6-4 and are bowl eligible. They come off a high scoring win at home last week as they defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 49-38. Bearcats are the fourteenth highest scoring team from college football this season as they put up 38.7 points per game. They are the fourth in overall offense as Cincinnati gains 585 yards per game. The South Florida Bulls have been a program that has shown improvement in 2014. They have become bowl eligible with a record of 6-4. That came last week in a 44-23 home victory to Temple. The team will host Cincinnati winners of two straight and five of their past six games. Included in that run was a road win at East Carolina. They have piled up wins against downtrodden programs like Florida A&M, Syracuse, Connecticut and SMU on the season. The win last week against Temple was legit as they team tallied 556 yards of offense against a quality opponent. The Bulls had success running with 326 rushing yards for 6.8 yards a carry against a good Owls team. It was a win where turnovers were not a factor as each team committed one for the game. South Florida is a middling offense as they sit 58th in yardage as they put up 412 yards per game and is 62nd in the nation in scoring by pushing across 29.3 points per game.
